Caballero, Van Dijk, Sandro, Bakayoko, Lukaku. These guys could all be coming.

 

What of the right midfield position? Pedro and Willian have failed to convince the manager wholly. A position we could possibly upgrade?

 

Even if Lukaku comes in to replace Costa, we'll still need a back-up. Michy has already said he's unhappy to spend another year on the bench and it looks like a loan may be the best possible thing for both parties, and Tammy looks like he's going on loan to Swansea.

 

We lose Hazard for any length of time and we would suffer. It would be good if we could get some quality upgrades in. Too often Hazard gets double-marked and triple-marked. He even got man-marked on a couple of occasions last term. Be good if we could get another bonafide danger man on the other flank, someone who could scare the living sh*t out of defenders.

 

We didn't seem to suffer significant injuries last term, but it could happen next term, and it would be good to know we're not overly reliant on one or two players going forward.

 

Conte seems to be focusing on defence and midfield, I wonder what his thoughts are regarding our attack? Seems to me we might be a little thin on attacking talent, compared to our rivals.

 

What do you guys think?

I quite fancy Mahrez, he has been linked with us though nothing concrete. I think he could also as a cover for Hazard returning from injury.

Give Charly Musonda a chance, he's more talented than Salah who Liverpool just spent £35M quid on.

I would love for musonda to burst on the scene, but when the chips are down, conte like most managers would probably switch formations, or play someone out of position, before playing musonda. This is the hurdle for all youth players at big clubs. So I think we would be better looking for another player. Mahrez, James, lemar, or bernadeshi would all be good left footed options to bring some variety and quality to the squad. 

If we get Sandro, teams would worry marking Hazard as A. Sandro himself is a threat and requires double marking to stop him too. Personally, I'm ok with anyone better than Pedro/Willian on the right since both are now 29-30 and if anything will only have so much time left. 

I think, Conte himself feels that he could get decent mileage yet out of that pair and is strengthening other parts of the pitch first. If we can solidify 9 positions on the field, the remaining ones can be solved for the next transfer window. 

That being said, we need cover for the CF position and I hate the thought of Remy being possibly used for that position.

Not sure if Pedro/Willian is a place to improve. Maybe backup for Moses. It seems we are after Alonso-backup...

We can improve on CB's. In terms of backup and to improve the passing close to the keeper (Cahill). Looks like we want to build the game like Juve and we need the players for it.

CM is being improved if we get Bakayoko however I hope we can keep hold of Cesc. Without him we have no breaking-pass ability. Matic is pretty good with the ball.

I hope we get Luk and stick with Bats. Would be a good duo.

Sanchez is the answer IMO.

This is the player I think we should be trying our utmost to buy.

Having him would be like having 2 Hazards, and it would turn us into a super potent attacking force.

Teams would struggle to keep both of them quiet for 90 minutes.

He is the number one player I would love us to sign this summer.

Agree, and also he can play CF if Lukaku gets injured. Options for the front 3 of Hazard, Lukaku, Sanchez, Pedro and Willian would give us the strongest attack in the league and possibly top 3 in Europe. If we cant get Sanchez i think we can do exactly the same with either Aubemyang or James. I really do hope that we go big guns this transfer window and show that we really can become a powerhouse in Europe. 

Interesting point Davey. It's certainly a concern as Utd showed last year when you  mark Hazard out of the game we don't always carry a great treat.

I think we need flexibility. Cesc played in that role on the right regularly so he is an option. Moses may also play there if Dave is pushed to wingback by the arrival of another defender.

I personally am a fan of pinching Lacazette from under Arsenal's nose. He is an Anelka style of player who can drop deep as well as lead the line. If we had him we could play 3-5-2 with Lukaku or even use him just off the main striker next to Hazard.

The other signing might be someone like a Felipe Anderson who is good on both feet, very creative and also played RWB for Lazio. I couldn't see us signing an out and out winger like James. He would just cost too much.

Telling you now im certain Bernadeschi will be the next griezmann/Sanchez and we should go for him before we regret it when somebody else does. He scores goals, a lot for his age you can just tell he's going to be the next quality winger

Bernadeschi or Mahrez. Sanchez is impossible.

I like Bernadeschi except he needs to bulk up a bit to thrive. I'm a bit sceptical on Serie A wingers since the last few forwards from Serie A has been underwhelming for me.

Didn't Sanchez go to Barca from udinese or somewhere though ? If we can't get Sanchez or griezmann in Jan for costa which let's face it chances are slim, then I'd pay within reason whatever is being asked for bernadeschi.. he looks mustard. Way the transfer markets going he will be an 80M winger next summer
