Yeah I don't think you're a foreign fan, I was never under that impression. In all fairness I can see @RIP Mourinho's point to an extent, not towards you though, I think you're Chelsea through and through, we don't all have to have the same opinions. When it comes to foreign fans though, have you ever browsed a Chelsea facebook post and read the comments? You see people saying "I'm no longer a Chelsea fan" and they're all from outside of the UK saying it. People who've lived by Chelsea locally and went to the games, they'll never say things like that, it's insulting quite frankly. And I'll admit the commercialisation of the game is killing me, I no longer feel compelled to go to games all the time just for the sake of supporting my club. I think big businesses know football fans are mug consumers and exploit our loyalty. But again, RIPMourinho has a point when it comes to those types of "fans" online, but I very rarely see those types of fans on here, and you definitely aren't one at all.

I must admit I'm getting sick of the Lampard arguments now and I would like to move on. But I also feel that I have to defend my position on it, and numerous others, strawman arguments don't help.

Tbf I think those player ratings are from the game where we played them in the Cup? That's what I think after looking at them, with the substitution stuff on there. Either way it's silly, player ratings are not a good metric, they're highly subjective. For example, Werner was awful in that game, even though he did get our only goal, besides that he was dreadful. But obviously a goal, it looks like he was our best player on the pitch due to the rating.

Don't understimate the time Lampard has, he's still very young in the game. Who's to say he has to be back managing a top club in the next 10 years? He could have 30-40 years left of managing still. I don't think it would be a failture for him to back to the Championship.

I don't think so, and that wasn't my reason for getting rid of Lampard either. When we talk about context I'm not talking about 30 years ago, I'm talking about just last season Liverpool looked invincible. Past 5 years Klopp has done a good job. He did a very good job at Dortmund, that got him the Liverpool job in the first place. It's not a fair comparison to Lamps. If Lampard won the league last season, and I wanted him gone now, would you really refuse to bring up the fact that he won the league last year? And he shouldn't be sacked? Of course you wouldn't. You would definitely mention it and rightfully so! There's a reason why I wanted this club to hang onto the likes of Jose and Ancelotti, especially after that awful 3rd season with Jose, I felt the club had to stick by him after everything he's accomplished there. I believed under Jose we could come back if we gave him the backing and time, give him a restart, etc. He's got a proven track record for winning things, despite a lack of longterm jobs, unfortunately for Lampard, he had neither of those.

I'm not being childish Yorkley, but it's a silly comparison and you know it. One thing that truly grinds my gears is the Klopp comparisons with Lampard, it's just silly. Klopp was a very accomplished manager before he got the hotseat at Liverpool, he did great things at Dortmund, much better than Tuchel who's quite respected among managers. It's all good talking about how current form went and who's slump was worse, but you're missing the context. Klopp has won liverpool the big one after 30 years when it looked nigh on impossible for them at the time. He made them back to title challengers and one of the best teams in the world, also while winning a Champions League. Is that really a comparison you want to draw here and call fans like myself batsh*t insane? If Lampard won those things I would never be calling for his head the next season.

I think Neville missed a trick going to Valencia in a league where players have no respect for him. Former club legends and big names like that can go to any lower league team in England and the players will have respect for you. Not to say that will give you instant success, but they will have a lot of respect for you and will be dying to ask you questions. I think that's the right move for Lampard to go back to the Championship and get a team promoted, he almost did it with Derby.

If I'm going to be brutally honest, I don't think he'll ever be good enough to lead the line here. But I do think he's a good character and squad player to have, you can't knock his goal record, you need players like that.
