Cone reacted to Nibs in Adam WhartonI do. Really like him as player and he should be there at the World Cup as don't see too many who can pick and thread a pass like he does. English too of course. Not being xenophobic but I like the idea of having more of a British contingent like we used to with JT, Lamps, Ash & Joey etc. Fed up of seeing the likes of Gusto, Cucurella and Enzo going down too easily.

Cone reacted to The Boehly Babes in Joao PedroAbsolutely mind boggling thread.
There aren’t any ‘elite’ 9’s in worldwide soccer outside of Haaland & Kane.
JP is a HUGE upgrade on Wacko. Regardless of stats, one looks and plays like a footballer the other like a toddler learning to walk.
PS Osimhen has Premier League bust written all over him. Avoid at all costs.

Cone reacted to El regreso in Xabi Alonso - New Chelsea ManagerLet’s be clear the clowns 🤡 in the board room should not get any credit for this as it’s the minimum for Chelsea FC which is a top class manager.
The idiots patting themselves on the back after presiding over a cluster f**k for four years can get f**ked the lot of them.
They hired over promoted average people who came with his stupid idea that they can dismantle a winning machine and recreate it over night with young players all over the pitch.
So f**k the lot of them they will get no praise from me not NOT not EVER.
-
Cone reacted to El regreso in Next Coach? How the f**k did these clowns pull this off. They definitely had to eat a lot of humble pie as Alonso could have waited and have a pick of clubs this summer.
He probably got everything he wanted from a operational perspective to have this close so quickly.
-
Cone reacted to bisright1 in Next Coach?People who complain about "boring football" don't mean defensive football. They mean sideways possession based passing.
Simeone doesn't play this. His football isn't boring.
-
Cone reacted to GarnachoCheese in Andrey Santos Signs for ChelseaIt was obvious he was in over his head when he said A.Santos profile was to play as a box crasher when E.Fernandez wasn't available.
Horribly mis-profiled so many of our players. Honestly one of the worst managers we've had.
-
Cone reacted to RMH in Liam Rosenior - Chelsea Head Coach *Now Sacked*That doesn't mean that us, as fans, should stop asking for better, whether be it players or coach. It's the only way to change things, put pressure of what our expectations are as 'clients'. Or, are we lowering our expectations and being drawn to the mud level the board wants this club to be? You complain about Gittens a lot but, following your logic, who do you expect us to get realistically? You shouldn't complain because that's where the club is at now.
-
Cone reacted to dkw in Liam Rosenior - Chelsea Head Coach *Now Sacked*Any chance you can take this absolute bo**ocks to a thread that gives a sh*t about it out so we can discuss the new manager, for f**ks sake.
-
Cone reacted to Sconnie Blue in Liam Rosenior - Chelsea Head Coach *Now Sacked*Estevao as a wingback is diabolical
-
Cone reacted to Scott Harris in Liam Rosenior - Chelsea Head Coach *Now Sacked*As far as I am concerned, there is nothing about this worth backing. Rosenior is not a Chelsea manager head coach for footballing reasons, he is Chelsea head coach to continue being their yes man.
-
Cone reacted to Scott Harris in Boycott ClearlakeThe fans need to do the exact same thing they did when the Super League was announced. That is how you force change.
-
Cone reacted to Scott Harris in Boycott ClearlakeOr do what United fans did and cause enough of a commotion that games get postponed. A threat of a points deduction and missing out on more money will have them panicking.
-
Cone reacted to axman2526 in Boycott ClearlakeDon't buy anything Chelsea related.
No tickets, no merchandise, no PPV matches, nothing.
Only hitting them in their pockets will work.

Cone reacted to drapicano in Boycott ClearlakeI’m done with the "trust the process" nonsense. This isn't a football club anymore; it’s a private equity portfolio. Eghbali and Feliciano are treating 119 years of our history like some plastic tech startup they can "disrupt" until the spreadsheets look pretty.
They binned everyone who actually understood Chelsea [Cech, Marina, people with blue in their blood] and replaced them with models and data sets. Instead of competing with City or PSG, they’ve got us trying to imitate Brighton. It’s embarrassing. Clearlake is chasing profit and resale value, not trophies or success. Every time it goes south, they sack another manager, reset the clock, and have the gall to tell us to be patient. It’s a scam to hide their own incompetence. We aren't even building a squad; we're just flipping assets like we're on a trading floor.
Booing doesn't work. These guys are venture capitalists; they don't care if you're screaming your lungs out as long as your backside is in the seat and your cash is in their pocket. They only understand optics and the bottom line.
We have to stop feeding the machine.
Stop slaughtering the manager. Stop abusing the 20-year-olds on the pitch. That’s exactly what the board wants because it gives them an excuse to fire the coach and buy another year of "transition." Every banner and every single chant needs to be aimed directly at Clearlake, Eghbali, and Feliciano.
We need empty seats. We need a massive, coordinated walk-out. 15 minutes of empty stands on global TV hits their "global brand" harder than 90 minutes of shouting ever will. We need to get to the tourists at Fulham Broadway, too. Don't be aggressive, just tell them the truth and ask them not to fund the circus inside the ground.
Stop buying the shirts. Stop spending a penny in the Megastore. Stop paying for them to "learn on the job" while they gut the soul out of the club.
As long as the Bridge is full, they think they're winning. Doing nothing is just giving them permission to keep destroying Chelsea. Either we make it impossible for them to stay, or we admit we’re fine with our club becoming a hollowed-out shell.

Cone reacted to The Boehly Babes in BlueCo buy Chelsea FCI mean hindsight is a wonderful thing and all but those first two windows, might look terrible now but broken down at the time…
Koulibaly was slated for a ‘big move’ for years, he probably came too late in his career to the PL but no one at the time would’ve called it a bad signing.
Sterling was always a player on the decline with all the mileage he had on him but was a ‘statement’ more than anything.
Fofana was the highest rated young CB in the league and again, injuries aside could become the player we believe
Cucurella took time but is a fantastic piece of business
Auba we gave up on far too easily as shown by his current form.
Santos, Casadei & Chukky were all some of the brightest for their national side age groups and were fantastic bits of business to snap up on the cheap, should all still be at the club and given opportunity IMO.
Todd showed a good mixture of signing young potential and sprinkling in some experience. Did he get it right? On the whole No but given time ie if he’d been left to do it his way I whole heartedly believe we’d be in a much more competitive position as a FOOTBALL CLUB right now.
Clearlake then took their majority ownership implemented their vision and drove us into the ground.
-
If Liam comes in I am betting immediately he’s gone by the summer and he doesn’t lead us into the 26/27 season.
Complete and utter sh*te show
-
I don’t think a lot of fans truly appreciate
HOW f**kED WE ARE!!!!!!
There isn’t a single World class manager who would come within 100 miles of us. We will never attract an elite manager again as long as these clowns are making the decisions NEVER.
All we will get are managers looking for the next setup after us.
How I miss Marina and co now!!
-
He’s the first in a long line of dominos that have to fall to get us back to being a serious football team.
People can complain about the recruitment, and yes, on the whole it hasn’t been good enough at all BUT we’ve enough World Class players in a strongest XI to easily breeze into the Top 4.
For the record, I view Reece James as the best RB in football, Cole Palmer as someone who would walk into any other PL XI & Caicedo as 1a/b as the best PL CM alongside Declan Rice. That’s basically a 1/3rd of a starting lineup being the best in their position in the league/world.
Our issue at the moment is
a) Maresca refuses to line up our best available XI together
b) Maresca refuses to adapt his formation/tactics to suit said World Class players and instead shoehorns them into a side built around Gusto, Enzo & Neto
c) STOP with this inverted bullsh*t and start overlapping the fullbacks which in turn will make our below par wingers better as they aren’t isolated 1v1 in every attacking phase of the game.
Injuries aside lining up as below is a team EASILY good enough for Top 4, which is down to the manager not the recruitment (Eghbali, Winstanley & Stewart also need to go but that’s a different thread)
Sanchez
James Levi Fofana Cucu
Caicedo Santos
Palmer JP Estevao
Wacko or Delap

Sorry but it does not take a miracle manager to add an extra 10 points to this season. 2 draws against Bournemouth, a draw to Brentford, a loss to Leeds, a loss to Sunderland, a loss to Brighton, a draw to palace and that doesn't even go into some of the sh*t cup and CL performances. Say what you want about the owners, the board or the squad, this squad we have is good enough to beat the teams I've mentioned. Could the squad be better and more balanced? Yeah, definitely, but these players should not be dropping points against the sh*t that we have dropped points against.
Maresca has to go, it's an absolute must because there's almost zero chance that we get champions league football with him in charge. This performance will happen again and again until we're mid table and this bald arrogant prick will try and excuse it with some bullsh*t fed to him by Jorge Mendes.

OK tin helmet on. Regarding Fofana. Agreed, the driving violations are deplorable. No arguments. And the injuries are hugely frustrating, though obviously not his fault. But, but, what are so many of you missing? He, along with RJ and Caicedo are the only players we have with immense natural athleticism and physical power. He leaps for the ball better than anyone we have had since Drogba and JT. He was one of the best young players in the World at Leicester before he broke his leg. He has been excellent today and he carries the ball out of defence better than any centre-half we have.

I am deprioritising Chelsea matches now. At the start of the season I said I would give him 10 games and if nothing changes for my mental wellbeing am deprioritising.
If I can watch a match I will but no more will I go out of my way or change plans just to watch our games.
f**k Beavis and Butthead, f**k £land Pep!!!
Love my club but hate what’s happening now!!
Times like this I miss Roman.

Cone reacted to dkw in Our New StadiumI tihnk in years to come when we end up in a soulless, beige basic stadium we will look back on the missed opportunity at Battersea, what a stadium that would have been.
-
Yes. A better manager would get more out of this squad. Name one player Maresca has improved in his time here.
A better manager would be more tactically flexible.
A better manager wouldn't persist with instructions that continually cause us repeat problems. For example, playing short tight passes around our box under pressure.
A better manager would not talk the team down in a period when they were actually doing OK.
A better manager might not solve all the problems at our club. But he would make some positive improvements on the pitch.

Cone reacted to WhiteWall in Cole Palmer signs for Chelsea! If these reports are true it calls into question the decision making of this idiot manager to an even greater level.
In the pacy, rain soaked, heavy pitch environment of OT, if Palmer was still not fully fit why wasn't he the sacrificial substitution instead of Estevao. Even if we excuse the Estevao substitution why was it then Neto substituted and not Palmer. Appalling decision making by a manager incapable of building a team and style that can get the best use of the skill set of the players at his disposal.
