That's what can happen when you play someone out of position and to be honest Porto shouldn't have been able to string those passes together so easily. Other than that I think Essien's played well.

First half thoughts, we're playing sh*te. Except Cole who has shown a lot of endeavour and drive down the left and Diarra's done okay. Ballack's hardly touched the ball. Lamps passes it backwards more times than not and his first touch has been shocking. He looks like he needs a rest. I'd take Maka off at half time (he's not what we need in this game now) bring on Boulahrouz and move Essien into midfield. I must say Porto are playing well but we really should be all over them.

Definite penalty for me. Scholes should have been sent off but gets away again. If there's a worst sight in football than Manure celebrating I haven't seen it. Other teams should look at the way Reading last week and Fulham today played against Manure and take note. They're not that good in defence. I watched the whole game and want to know why you'd say that ? Beckham shone, (by that I mean he passed well), for the first 45 when Real were attacking, and then all but disappeared in the 2nd half when Real were under the cosh. Where would you fit Beckham in our team ? Who would you leave out for him ? Why would you have him in there ? The only reason I can think of is for his dead-ball delivery. Other than that, zip. Also Cannavaro facked up big-time for Bayern's first goal. Totally went to sleep and left Lucio unmarked. I was joking about that. Anyway Beckham had a great game.
