Would You Sign Michael Owen as Our New Striker?
Owen is/was a high calibre player and at ?9million he does look a bargain, but there are other strikers I'd take before him; Villa, Tevez, Berbatov I'm sure there's more but I can't think of any at the moment. For similar money you can also get Bent (Darren) and I'd say he'd probably be better value than Owen right now.

Women's FA Cup Final
I watched the game expecting to be on the floor in fits of laughter but I confess I was mightily impressed, especially by the Arsenal team who played some really good football at times and one girl scored a screamer just before half time despite the keepers best efforts not to save it which was top draw technique wise. Oh yeah and some of the crossing would put Lamps to shame.

goal of the season (so far..)
Essien's against the Arse at the Bridge, for the skill, power and dramatic timing of it, closely followed by Drogba's against Everton.

player of the year vote
I'm going for Essien followed by Drogba and Riccy.

Analysing the season of Mr. Frank Lampard
I went with tiredness. I must say though, does tiredness effect a players ability to take corners or freekicks to a standard that is demanded by a team of our stature? The amount of times this season we've lamented Lamps' poor delivery makes me wonder how many more assists/goals he would have accrued if this part of his game had been more consistantly at a higher level. A case in point was the central freekick he took on Sunday against the Arse in the second half that he blazed over, I just knew he was going to miss, and too many times he fails to beat the first man on his corners, I think this has had a direct effect on Terry's goal scoring exploits this season and yeah I know he gets hugged to death in the box but the ball seldom gets anywhere near him. These are things that he can work on though and I wouldn't change Lamps for any other player as when he's on form there are few better.

Le Arse vs Chelsea
Essien was Man of the Match today by a country mile, he is a monster of a player.

Le Arse vs Chelsea
I missed it. What did you see him do?? He went to our fans and showed to something with his arm for several times. I think it was a nice gesture by Jose, he was telling the fans to keep their chins up and to show appreciation to the players as the season isn't over yet, we've got an FA Cup final to look forward to. I'm sure people/the press will read into it a load of b*llocks about him saying goodbye and such like. Let's beat "The New Champions" on Wednesday and let them know they're only borrowing the trophy for one season and we want it back.

John Terry "I want to manage Chelsea"
According to our good old friend The Sun, he won't be here much longer. hahaha what a load of b*llocks. [web]http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2002390000-2007200412,00.html[/web]

As a result of last night...
I'm getting through it, just have to keep making sure that I've got a window open covering it up.

As a result of last night...
I had a bet with my mate at work who is a Liverpool fan, if Chelsea won he had to have a Lampard wallpaper on his desktop for one day, if Liverpool won, well you can see what I'm having to endure. Oh the indignity.

Robbens penalty.
No, you can't blame Jos? for players not scoring on their penalties but you can blame him for chosing the wrong players to take them. Yeah but I'm sure he asks the players if they fancy it and goes with the ones who are confident. Out of the players on the pitch the first 3 I would have chosen to take pens (if they were confident) would've been in order: 1. Lamps 2. Drogs. 3. Essien I think I would go with the same players. One I might have given a chance if necessary is Mikel. Sure he's inexperienced but with the form he's in I think he could've scored. And we know he can strike a ball. It's a shame it's all academic now, I just hope we beat Man Utd in normal time in the FA Cup Final as I don't fancy this again anytime soon.

Liverpool vs. Chelsea - UCL 2nd Leg
joe cole... i've come to accept that he's thr forum golden boy, but today mascherano made a mockery of him, his game comprised of a couple of dives and conceding posession. Mascherano made a mockery of both Joey and Lamps.

I think Drogba missed Sheva as well. As at least he takes some of the pressure off him and draws defenders away. Ballack would've taken and probably scored a penalty as well.

Liverpool vs. Chelsea - UCL 2nd Leg
Don't be ridiculous. Joe Cole was the invisible one. Yeah to some extent and he was promptly subbed, Lamps stayed invisible for 120 minutes. Lampard strikes me at the moment as a man in need of a good rest and he ain't going to get one until the summer.
-
Robbens penalty.
Maybe Jose was asking if he was scared of taking a penalty to which Robben's response was "no way" he may have been well up for it. I seem to recall Reina had a reputation in prior to joining Liverpool as a penalty specialist as he had amazing stats in the Spanish league. You can't blame Jose for top class professional footballers taking sh*t penalties. That just doesn't wash with me. There's only one player I wouldn't have liked to have seen taken a penalty and that was Maka and he was subbed. For me Lamps as the first choice penalty taker should have been first up to take one, to calm the nerves of the following players.

Liverpool vs. Chelsea - UCL 2nd Leg
Ladies and gentlemen a round of applause if you will for the invisible man, step forward please Mr Frank Lampard. A classic example of disappearing in a big game. He seemed more concerned with making sure his socks were rolled up for most of the game.

Complete and utter sh*te.

How do you solve a problem like Joey Barton?
[web]http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/man_city/6612933.stm[/web] What a tw*t. He was the one Citeh player who could have maybe done us a favour this Saturday, be that scoring a goal or nobbling Rooney or Ronaldo.

Regarding Boulahrouz, it's my understanding that he is still not 100% fit after his shoulder injury, as I recall he neeeded an operation but it was put back until after the season, and has been on the bench purely as emergency cover. Therefore I think Jose sees it as folly to play him from the start as if he was to get a knock early doors it would require a "wasted" sub and a tactical "rejig" in a game of such importance. Of course this is a mute point if I'm wrong about Boulahrouz's fitness and injury. Oh yeah lest I forget... Come on Chelsea!!

Premiership | Done and dusted.
To thing we will still win the league is just a bit unrealistic. It is over As long as there is a slight chance that we'll make it I'll keep my faith. I'm with you bro. Keep believing. To quote Gandalf "there never was much hope, just a fools hope." Brilliant. And as we all know Sweden are full of fools so I'll keep faith Well I got called an idiot at work this week so it bodes well for us. Come on you blues.

Eyes on the prizes - Bolton first!
Well they needed to know if they had to reward ManU a penalty to save them a few points. That's why they started later than us Yeah that's what I was angling towards. I reckon the brothers Neville will be smiling to themselves right now as well.

Eyes on the prizes - Bolton first!
Well another chance to close the gap has slipped away thanks to some shoddy defending. I knew as soon as Man U equalised they'd go on and win. B*stards. I can't believe the handball wasn't given, it was as clear as day. The FA really don't want us to win the Premiership do they. Also I'm a bit miffed as to why Man U kicked off almost 5 minutes later than us. In the end it didn't matter but it could have had a huge bearing on their game if our result had been different. I'm devastated, but I'll keep on believing till it's mathematically impossible for us not to win it.
