Robbie Earle just overly criticised Sheva's just wide shot, saying that he lacked snap (look up "legs have gone") I thought it was a really good effort and Sheva for me is playing quite well, again with lacklustre service. It's comments like Earle's that stokes the anti Sheva fire, anybody else and he'd be saying it was unlucky.

Spot on, I'm expecting/hoping for a lot better in second half. It's frustrating knowing that we're better than this, we just need a spark to kick us into gear I'm sure it will come.

bit harsh on second goal...he got good contact on the ball but it didn't deflect out of play but stayed in Yeah you're right. I think we have got a fine player in him though, I was thoroughly impressed by some of his passing, it was a shame we didn't make more it.

I think we missed him too, more for the fact that he demands the ball, at times today the midfield looked loath to have possession getting rid of it as soon as they got it, there was a distinct lack of vision with the passing, I lost count of the times a player was wide and in acres of space and they never got the ball.

I thought Belletti played well, bar him getting skinned for the second goal but my vote goes to SWP again.

First 20 minutes we looked pretty good, the remaining 70 we were sh*te. Drogba injured, on today's showing he won't be missed. Where was the movement in the second half?? We stood around like statues and then lumped in the ball as usual. SWP should not have been subbed he was our most lively player. Complete fallacy about long balls being hit up to him all the time. This argument is usually presented by people who are struggling to come to terms with the fact that he is past his prime. The Shevchenko we have now is not the same player Milan had three/four seasons ago. He had enough passes played into his feet as well last season. Unfortunately, he didn't appear to have the body strength to hold defenders off and protect the ball, or the pace to turn and get away from them anymore. Sad but true.
