ethicalstrategy
I don't think we can afford to take it easy in any matches for the moment. We have a reasonable run of games in the league, which we need to capitalise on if we are going to stay in the title race, and some tough matches in the CL. We need to find the strongest team that we can and play together for a run of matches to let the players get some confidence and adapt to any changes in playing style that the new manager may want. I would go with: Cech Belletti, Alex, Ben Haim, Cole SWP, Essien, Sidwell, Malouda Cole, Shevchenko I left JT out because he should not play again until he is fully fit. He is crucial to us and absolutely no good to us if he is playing half fit.

Pauly
Exactly- remember the days under Jose when we played weak sides at home and he would put an attacking player in central midfield- aaa good times- I'd like to see Joe, SWP/Kalou and Malouda/Sinclair in the same 11- and beletti too! For me: ............................Cech........................... Beletti...........B-Haim......Terry.......Ferreira .............................................................. ..........................Makelele........................ .....................................Sidwell............... ....................Cole................................... ....SWP/Kalou................................Malouda ............................Sheva......................... Kalou Sinclair Pizarro Alex Essien Would love to give Terry a rest too but it's probably the wrong moment for it. Give Cole a rest and Ferreira some fitness if grant plans to use him- but keep in beletti to piss on their right side. Give Sheva 90 minutes and bring Kalou and Pizarro back in.. hopefully we'll see an idea of how grant wants to play his "attacking chelsea", because with this squad there aren't so many options... pauly! SWP in central midfield basing that on his passing ability? size? or just because it gives you a better camera angle on his luscious lips? Terry probably needs a rest but he would be absolutely furious at not being able to lead the team out in their moments of trouble. Also- who would be captain in that team? loz
SWP has actually played in the centre before and equipped himself wel however I think this is a time to keep with the first players to get their confidence up

Tim
Agreed Glory. I remember when Windass was at Boro (?) and they played us at the Bridge the entire MHL kept singing 'fat northern w*nker...you're just a fat northern w*nker,' until he lost it, put two fingers up at the stand, and was subbed soon after. Brilliant.
