  1. Yea I wouldn't be Deco's biggest fan but he can play well at the tip of the diamond. I was saying more about the waste of Lampard playing there.
  2. As soon as Deco comes on Lampard gets into his normal dangerous positions of arriving late. This should tell you something Carlo.
  3. Surely ta f**k there is someone on our bench who can contribute more in attack than Kalou or Malouda. We are so unbelievable narrow at the moment and easily snuffed out by a team of so little talent.
  4. This is such a sad game on football. Very difficult to watch as Apoel put the pressure on. Hate to say this but the way we are playing reminds of the Scolari team.
  5. Portsmouth v Everton Birmingham v Bolton Blackburn v Aston Villa Stoke v Manchester United Tottenham v Burnley Wigan v Chelsea Liverpool v Hull Fulham v Arsenal Draw Sunderland v Wolverhampton Manchester City v West Ham Cheers Chippy
  6. I'm tempted to go for more but I'll stick with a conservative 3-0.
  7. Andy Gray annoyed the life out of me again on Sunday, but I shouldn't be surprised. I just think at some stage that surely he'll will actually start doing the job he gets paid for and give a professional unbiased opinion. Something else with got my hump up was this opinion that if it wasn't a pentaly then Keane should have been booked. Now I can't blame Keane for the reaction because he was truely pissed off and in the heat of the moment. But someone please correct me if I'm wrong but is a ref not only susposed to give a penalty if he's 100% sure. So if it was his opinion that Ricky committed the foul but was only 80% sure then he couldn't give the spot kick. This being the case he would only be 20% sure that Keane dived and to book him on that basis would be totally unjust. This is my reading of the law on awarding a penalty. Now if I'm right why do we hear every week from commentators and so called pundits, 'if he's not giving a penatly why has he not booked the player for diving.'

  9. A Cole for me, no contest. Essien voter must be on the wind-up.
  10. I suspose a win is a win and all that but that was a very dissappointing and frustrating performance. Ivans defending scares me, have you ever seeen the bison have a worst game, and how many seasons do we have to say that kalou just isn't good enough. That game was calling out for an injection of youth or class at half time from either Sturridge or Joey. Please not another play safe manager unwilling to give any of the young lads a chance.
  11. Compare JT's behaviour to that of Stevie Me's a few years ago. I know which one I'd rather have.
  12. I agree that 40 Million would have been good business but in my opinion only if out of the Prem. Why would we strenghten, soon to be rivals, while weakening our own team.
  13. I thought Drogs looked good and Cole and Lamps deserve a mention but I voted for Ballack how is looking very fit and his strenght is beginning to boss things.
  14. Got fed up half way through 2 nd half and turned over. I find Barcas tip tap football really boring when teams stand up and defend properly against them.
  15. Good luck Loz and TT. Looking at your selections, they don't appear that outrageous for those odds.
  16. Welcome back Chippy. Hope you had a good holiday. Many thanks Colin Chelsea v Burnley 29/08/2009 12:45 BST Stoke v Sunderland 29/08/2009 15:00 BST Bolton v Liverpool29/08/2009 15:00 BST) Blackburn v West Ham 29/08/2009 15:00 BST Wolverhampton v Hull 29/08/2009 15:00 BST Tottenham v Birmingham 29/08/2009 15:00 BST Manchester United v Arsenal 29/08/2009 17:15 BST Portsmouth v Manchester City 30/08/2009 13:30 BST Everton v Wigan 30/08/2009 15:00 BST Aston Villa v Fulham 30/08/2009 16:00 BST
  17. Burnleys solid start to the prem ends here. 4-0
  18. Can't believe that we have let his contract run down to 12 months. this probably means that he could go in jan for free. Arsenal were appantley showing an interest in him during the summer but that seems to have died a death. I hate the thought of them picking him up for nothing just to unload him for a tidy profit. I don't think he will ever be a first team regular but he is a good squad member who has chipped in with some important goals.
  19. Think this will be our first clean sheet of the season. 0-2
  20. must keep this pressure on and surely the win will come.
  21. My own picks from the lists would be. GK Edwin van der Sar Def Nemanja Vidic Mid Andrés Iniesta For Lionel Messi I don't think anyone else bar Chelsea fans and other intelligent supporters appreciate the value of Lampard. But f**k them all, he's ours.
  22. Cole for me. Drogs played well enough scoring 2 but did miss a few and the booking was plain stupid.
