  1. Come on Loz, put the foot down. It's Chelsea, it's Watford and its the FA Cup 5th round FFS
  2. Sky sources understand Andrei Arshavin has officially completed his transfer from Zenit St Petersburg to Arsenal, signing a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Gunners. The Russia international passed a medical and agreed personal terms with Arsenal on Monday, but the switch to Emirates Stadium was not sealed until the day after the deadline, following delayed ratification from the Premier League. The move follows a hugely protracted saga which included lengthy negotiations between the Gunners and Zenit over the attacker's fee, with the Uefa Cup holders pushing for a lump sum of £15million. Arshavin and Zenit were also in talks over a final payment that threatened to scupper the move, but the deal has now been rubber-stamped after the matter was resolved and the paperwork finalised on Tuesday. The talented schemer could make his Arsenal debut against bitter North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, live on Sky Sports 1 & HD1, as the club seek to break back into the top four. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_4888728,00.html
  3. Although I don't have much faith in him from what I seen I believe that he has to be given time to puy his onlt stamp and players on the club. I don't want to be seen as a team who constantly change their managers when things seem to be starting to go wrong. We need a bit of stability and I'd prefere him to see out his contract unless things start to go completly off the rails. Remember Red Nose was on his last legs before he turned things around at Manure.
  4. One of those one that we'll never know. Up to an hour played I'd agree only one tean looked like and deserved to win it but how many games in the past have you seen that the team who deserves to win get beaten. Has happened to us before now. PS Riley is a c**t.
  5. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...sea/7864085.stm The BBC report gives Lampards red card a few lines and the rest of the artical on Bosingwa. Doesn't even mention what a f**k up Riley made and the effect on our league position. Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has won his appeal against the red card he received in Sunday's 2-0 loss to Liverpool and will not serve any ban. Lampard was dismissed in the second half after a challenge on Xabi Alonso. Team-mate Jose Bosingwa will not face any action for stamping on the back of Yossi Benayoun in the same match. The Portuguese was not punished at the time and because the assistant referee admitted seeing it, the Football Association cannot review the incident. JFDI Late in the game Bosingwa appeared to lunge one-footed into Benayoun's back but the incident went unpunished by referee Mike Riley. But because his post-match report revealed that assistant Mo Matadar did see the event, under Fifa law, the FA cannot now take disciplinary action. "What Bosingwa did was not correct, he made a mistake," said Scolari. Bosingwa was quick to apologise for the incident: "I apologise for what I did and it was never my intention to hurt him. "I know it was wrong and I apologise. It's always frustrating to lose big games and especially in this way. "It was important to get points and not let Manchester United go. That didn't happen, so we are upset, but now we have to think about the next game." The result leaves Chelsea five points behind leaders Manchester United having also played a game more.
  6. Just heard on 909 that FA have turned over the decision on Lampards Red Card. At least there's some justice.
  7. I have been really excited about so many Chelsea signing over th years only to be let down when they pull on the blue shirt. This signing is not giving me much of a lift so I hope to f**k that he proves me wrong and gives our team the much needed lift we need.
  8. 1648: Chelsea have told us they are not expecting anyone in or out before the transfer window closes, so rumours of a deal for Inter's Ricardo Quaresma are wide of the mark. From the BBC website
  9. Really gutted about this result. Firstly about the ref. I think the FA seriously have to look at Riley's display and question the honesty of it. Anyone can make genuine mistakes but this was going over the top. How gerrand stays on the pitch, Maschef**ko went unpunished for so long I'll never know and then send off Lamps when he won the ball and got hit late by Alonso. I'd put Riley's display down to cheating rather than incompetance. This is the second time we've got on the wrong side of decisions this season against top 4 opposition. Against Arse we were 1-0 up when the linesman blew Kalou up for off side twice wrongly when in one on one. Then the same linesman allows Van Pussy through at least 2 yards off side. If these decisions hadn't went against us we'd be right up there with Manure and out of sight. My own thoughts our that if we were top of the league it woul be an injustice. Although I'd be happy with the position our team is just not good enough and only playing the type of football worthy of mid-table. There has to be a major shake up at the club this summer if Abramovich has the heart for it and although up to now I've given Scolari the benefit of the doubt because it's not his team he and Wilkins are looking clueless.
  10. As a result, he probably takes more risks than his counterpart in possession, which inevitably leads to the odd ball going astray. Had a chuckle when I read that about Gerrand. FFS

  12. I'm in the same boat as a lot of you. Think it's going to be a draw but hoping our bad run against the so called other top 4 is about to change. So I've predicted 2-1.
  13. I have a feeling that this can only be stipulated in a loan agreement and not on a permanant move.
  14. Hope it works out for you Phillip. At least if you can make it, the Dollar/Pound rate should make it a lot easier on the pocket.
  15. Mixed feelings about this. Going to spurs for a free really pisses me off. But he has been a good servant of the club for many years without a moan and deserves a crack at first team football again in the Prem which I believe he will get before too long. All the best Carlo.
  16. I'm tinking it's that stuff you breathe Liam.
  17. Think we're overdue a clean sheet. 2-0
  18. 1 Chicago 2 Oliver 3 Fiddler on the Roof
  19. Wouldn't be a Bellamy fan in fact I think him a bit of a c**t. However you can’t fault his commitment and effort on the field and he’s a fair example to others when the chips are down and you're fighting to pull yourself out of the relegation zone. I think (although the fee is ridicules for him) that he will do alright for city but wouldn't expect him to be there more than a couple of seasons if City progress.
  20. I'll go for 3-0. Players will still be out to prove a point.
  21. You'll be even more gutted when you find out you'll only get £29.
  22. I think there is little between them at CB but think Ivanovic better cover at RB. In saying that we do have Ferreira and Belletti.
  23. Shouldn't that be corn field Moi.
  24. I'd prefer to keep him before Alex. Hope he doesn't go as he can fill in right along the back line.
