United haven’t exactly been that brilliant of late grinding out 1-0 against mediocre opposition. So I'm going for a 1-0 win.

Easily the best footballer in the world with lots of years ahead of him. Fantantic attitude and workrate as well. Has the potential to be as good and maybe better than Maradona who was just as one footed as Messi. His balance is unbelievable and even though he so left footed playing on the right wing, he still goes outside the full back as often as inside.

I think our attack lacks pace. We're too easy to read.

I think it was an opportunity missed to give our young players a start. I'm not saying it would have made a big differance to the result but it was Southend FFS. Surely we should not have been afraid to blood 3 young lads for this. If things are not going to plan bring on the big guns second half, if things are going ok leave them on the bench to protect them, rest them and maybe even make them a bit hungier for next week.

Sounds f**king awful. I will wait toi see the highlights tonight before I comment further. At least some of the young players got a run out.!!! FFS

I think Malouda reaction is genuine shock that he has scored. It's certainly the reaction I have.

Alex A Cole Lamps and Mikel all done well but Cech easily MOTM. He totally commanded the area and his handleing was great. One of the only plus points from tonight is that I think he's back to his best. hope the injury is not too serious.

Alex Ivanovic looked fairly solid together. I would like to see that partnership given a chance before Ricky walks back in.

Well a point is better than none. Usual players underpreforming and big names too. Terry, Deco and Ballack have not appeared for us in the 08/09 season. Players I think worthy of a mention are. A Cole, Mikel Lamps and MOTM Cech.

was really thinking this was the sort of situation that Ballack would stand up and be counted. So far he's been crap.

Get a chance to to on some pressure from a free kick and what does Deco do. Can't beat the first man. what a waste.

Ballack Deco and JC have been totally ineffective in the first half. Time to dig in and fight in the second which I don't think is Decos game so get him off to f**k Scolari. Pity he was ever on.

I hope Scolari shows a bit of class at the end not like Wenger and comes out and agrees with the ref.

I'm with you on this Loz. I don't think it was an intentional tackle to injur but it was reckless on two counts. 1. the studs over the top and 2. the elbow in the face. Could have qualified for a straight red never mind a second yellow.

I think it would be difficult for him to drop Anelka with the ammount of goals he has been scoring. With our away form I have a feeling he will keep the formation very much the same as before although I've also went for Nic and Drogs starting together,

Can't see us going into the market and I'd imagine that all british clubs will find it hard to to compete with continental clubs because of the weak £. Transferes will probably cost an extra 30-40% more than a year ago. Also I don't think the players would be as enticed by the sterling pay packets.
