Today's Games
I'm with you on this Loz about Wenger. He's often quoted about being a great manager but I think his arrogence has got the better of him. He was too arrogant to replace players who were great for him with quality, the likes of Pires, Lunberg, Vierra and henry. He tried to bring on younsters who just weren't up to the task. At no stage last season did I ever think that we were ever going to finish behind them. to win the Prem you need strenght and depth to your squad because somewhere along the the line players get injured or loose form. Arsenal just don't have the squad to compete in a full hard season. With all his big talk about relying on his youth and they're good enough I think he's dug himself a hole where he's too proud to come out and spend big money on quality. Of course with that new stadium, which is costing a fortune, he may not have the money to spend. I think this may be his last season, if he even lasts the season as arse fans are getting really pissed off with winning nothing.

Why Don't We Try To Sign Berbatov?
Good player with, I think a suspect attitude and I wouldn't want to see him at the Bridge. we have Drogba, Kaloua, Anelka, Shevchenko and more importantly Di Santo who I think in time will make it. Bringing Berbatov would lessen his chances of making an impression and matureing.

Bpl Prediction League Standings 2008 - Portsmouth (h)
Thanks Butch. So good to be ahead of TT. Probably only be for one match but who cares as I'll be able to drink out on that for the rest of the season.

Motm Vs Pompey
Like most I went for Deco> I thought Ballack was superb before he had to go off and hope we don't lose him for too many games. Anyone got any word on how serious the injury is?

Kaka Or Robinho?
Totally unconvinced about Robinho. So it's Kaka without a doubt.

Congratulations
I don't think SAF was smiling tonight. I think he would have prefered pool in the final and us feeling down going into the last two prem matches. We're on a high and that will have us steamroller the barcodes and Bolton. A winning streak is so important. Liverscum rested 9 at the vweekend and even with such a hard match on sat against man we were fitter team tonight. Have faith Phillip, have faith. (sorry I didn't get over to the piss up, hope you and missus had a good trip.)

MOTM Vs Liverpool 2nd Leg
Drogba Lamps A Cole JT Kalou (i know a lot of people thought he was crap) were all great but my vote goes to Essien

Chelsea Vs Liverpool (2nd Leg)
was just about to post the same. aahhh isn't it a shame ...............................................................not! Come on have a heart. This is the greatest England mid-fielder ever.

Chelsea Vs Liverpool (2nd Leg)
What a f**king night. can't settle, just keep drinking and drinking and getting totally pissed. One of the best nights ever, really think we're going to go on and win it. Really happy for lamps, Drogba showed tonight what a world class player he is, (thanks fatty) but for me who stood out was Essien. This guy has it all, tackling, crossing, strenght, intelligence, shot and will run all night and never let the team down no matter where he's asked to play. A great attacking wing back performance but what a waste that he's not in our mid field. We love you Chelsea, we do. We love you Chelsea, we do. We love you Chelsea, we do. Oh Chelsea we love you.

Chelsea Vs Liverpool (2nd Leg)
Malouda on for Kalou. What the f**k.

What the pundits say....
This would be fairly typical of the after match discussions on RTE. Sometimes it can fairly heated between them. Dunphy can be a real w**ker but is good value for stirring it up. If you watch this Youtube clip you'll see he hasn't much time for Ronaldo, so he can't be all bad.

Chelsea v. Reading
I wish he'd give sinclair a start. Most likely he'll get a 5 minute run out, if that, in place of Malouda. Maybe Malouda will prove me wrong and give a display worthy of selection.
-
Wigan vs Chelsea MOTM
Anelka for me closely followed by Maka and JC

Wigan v Chelsea
Overall I thought we did what was needed to go through on a terrible pitch. Cech was his usual when called upon which wasn't often. The back four were solid and I think Carvalho and Alex are striking up a good partnership. Alex seems to be fitter, leaner and sharper than he ever was at PSV. Belletti has been a great signing for us. Bridge is better than Cole. In mid-field Maka, I think controlled everything, the mans a class act. Sidwell worked hard and done ok but at times his reading of the game seems to be a yard slower than his team mates and he tends to panic and boot the ball when a simple pass would be better. He should look and learn from the master Maka. SWP still frustrates the life out of me, he can be so good and then so sh*te at the simple things. Joe Cole had a good game today, always dangerous and worked hard. Malouda's display was one of the weakest I've seen in a Chelsea shirt. How Grant kept him on the field for the second half I'll never know. Ship him out to f**k and give Sinclair his chance. Anelka with Maka was the other really classy performance out their today. Fantastic touch, pace, strength and good in the air. I really think he could be world class with us and also what a great example for everyone on the way the game should be played. No diving, no over the top appealing, seems like a gentleman on the field. I wish Drogba could behave likewise.

Carling Cup Everton vs Chelsea!
Without Ballack I'm afraid our mid field looks very light-weight. We'd do very well to get a result tonight. Anyone hear the reason why he hasn't travelled, must be injury or you'd have thought he'd be on the bench.

Good ol' Willy Gallas
On teletext when asked about the incident of the bust up, Wenger strangely did not see it; knew nothing about it; and wondered what the interviewer was talking about. w**ker

You've never met the guy have you? Believe me when he walks in to a room the whole place lights up. The guy has so much charisma it's untrue. Must agree with you there, seemed very friendly and genuine. So unlike Daglish who's a c**t.

Birmingham City v. CHELSEA
I think most squads expect from time to time to have 4/5 injured players and build squads to cope. That on top of 4 players away to ACN is a big hole but the ACN hasn't exactly been sprung on us, it's been very bad prep by Chelsea management.

The Zlatan Loves Chelsea Fan Club!
Brian M will take any opportunity to post the names of Zlatan or Cameron Diaz. If it is relevant or not does not really matter to him. I think he just gets a hard on writing their names.

Great city, great fans. I'd wish them some minor success and would 'just love it' if they were to replace the scum in the top 4.

Blackburn vs Chelsea Thread
Haven't seen the match yet, just listened to it on the radio and it sounded fairly woeful. Anyone heard yet the nature of Cechs injury.
