It’s like flogging a dead horse with this current crop of players. Interestingly the reason why Pep and Klopp have done so well at their respective teams, in my opinion, rests on the idea that their teams seem to have a bit of the older school grit and sound mentality about them. A couple of players aside, I wouldn’t want any of our current first team coming to my immediate aid were I on fire and pleading for my life. They’d sh*t themselves and worry they’d get their Gucci handbags and sh*t tracksuits dirty.

Our passing between the lines being evidently sh*t as per usual. No good signing all these attackers if there’s zero chance creation from midfield.

We had absolutely zero chance of signing Haaland. It was all smoke. He was set on City. He only wants the best teams in his career in each country he will play in. City-Madrid and then whenever gets his final years.

You keep telling yourself that. We have completely unproven younger talents and are linked with a few YouTube players.

I’d genuinely be happy to stop the season now, give everything to City and just pause the sport for ten years. How the flying piss, buck and a fart is anyone going to get near this team at the moment? They’re so far and ahead of everything and everyone domestically that it’s almost like a Super League would be a fantastic idea… for them… so they can go and play against the top sides from across Europe and we can have w competitive league again. Mind you it’s not their fault we’ve spent more money than them but aren’t fit to lace their boots. FairPlay that team.

When I was younger I had a similar thing. I played for a team higher in the division, coach kept putting me at left back even though I was 10 stone wet through and had a blinding pre season at left wing because his favourite came back from his gap yah and off I f**ked. I left, joined a team down the road who actually appreciated me 2 levels lower, had a blinding season at left wing, went back up two levels and bagged two goals against the same team who wouldn’t sniff at me in my actual position 2 seasons later. Coaches win the hearts of their players when they actually show that every single one of the boys he’s got is worth their weight in gold to the coach; not when they clearly have favourites and alienate everyone else who doesn’t fit his agenda.

I think it’s genuinely an absolute travesty that he is the one who has been granted an unlimited chequebook. It’s becoming more and more evident now at the severe cracks in his managerial abilities; he has blatantly shown that he has favourites which is a big no-no for any top, top coach. Give him until the end of September… After that it is time to go. Fortunately the players he has bought will be able to fit in to another manager’s plans. Potter is a fantastic shout but will he do a David Moyes akin to his United spell? Does he have the pull with players? Zidane is on the market. I’m not being funny but those of you who are batting eyelids at those batting eyelids at Tuchel need to appreciate this isn’t the same Chelsea you grew up watching pre 1990. This is an elite footballing team that has spent a billion pounds on players to end up scrapping in the league for what? 6-7 years? Something isn’t right.

I’m watching the Man City game because every Chelsea stream is sh*te…Can unanimously say that the refereeing standard in this country needs addressing.

This archaic British sh*te about not being able to televise 3PM kick offs needs sorting out at this level. We’re in 2022 where I can literally put a headset on, thrust myself in to the middle of a porn set and set the w**kmaster 3000 to get me over the finish line… However I can’t pay a monthly subscription to watch 1 f**king team play it’s games over a season. Okay I’ll give the Mount ones there. No chance Chilwell starts ahead of Cancelo (best in his position in world football) or Robertson. The others, yes okay, I’ll go with that.

You’ve hit the nail on the head regarding the squad’s biggest issue; consistency. We’re just not a consistent team. They’re able to gear themselves up for a one off bout (much to the detriment of the top teams at the top table). How much of the performance against Spurs comes down to how awful they were in the first half? My friend is a Spurs fan and he was adamant he’d never seen Spurs play that badly in some time, including when we spanked them last year. There are a lot of things wrong with this squad. Tuchel isn’t the primary reason as to why the team is not clicking and isn’t consistent; however, he gets paid millions and millions of pounds a year so it is down to him to make changes and identify where we’re going wrong. This is why, ultimately, you have to give Tuchel this season. If it’s the same sh*t next year after he’s put £300mil in to the team… Auf Weidersen Tommy, pack your bags.
