City dropped points today

Liverpool are on only 2 points

we are lucky in the sense that we could have been 5 points behind at this stage

We are 5 points behind Arsenal. I know many have dismissed them, and they have an easy start for sure. But they will be one of our rivals for top 4, so giving them such a head start is not ideal.

None of us want to hear it but they are top 4 nailed on this season, they will also gain a lot of momentum now as they’ll be unbeaten until 1st of October with the fixture run they’ve got. Conte & Tuchel are no fools, they already know that last top 4 spot is between the two of them, no wonder it got fiery at the bridge regardless of the match circumstances. Might/does sound pessimistic but it’s looking clear as day.

You really looking at City and Pool like we will be anywhere near them come the end of the season?

Not for me. The concerns are Arsenal (5 points ahead) Spurs (3 points ahead) Newcastle (1 point ahead) and United (4 points behind).

Our record at the bridge against Leicester has been poor in recent years. I think we've only managed 1 win in the last 5 games against them at the bridge. Hopefully we can improve on that record next week. Especially given their poor start to the season.

I would rest Silva. Not that we don't need him, but because we do need him over the course of the season and have the world cup to contend with a weekend now and again off with his family will help him. And we owe it to him to look after him.

We cannot change the whole 11 but some players need to be dropped to show such errors (Mendy) and performances (Havertz) are not acceptable.

Kepa

Dave

Chalobah

Cucurella

James

Ampadu

Kovacic

Chilwell

CHO (Zyiech if Cal has left)

Broja

Pulisic

We also have a midweek game right after this against Southampton I think. So makes sense to rotate a bit. Koulibaly has a 1 game ban I think so would be available for the midweek game. Maybe play Thiago against Leicester and then give him a break against Southampton.

Wonder if Fofana will play for them, or us in this game? At least 4-5 changes required, although with our niggling injuries you never know who will actually be available on game day.

Neither I would guess. If Leicester are selling to us it won't be in time for this game I think.

Sensible however given how much beating the scummers means to @Munkworth we best not leave Silva out of that one.

We need our morale back. Leicester are struggling in the moment and we need this 3 points to give us something positive, especially after our loss against Leeds.

I will be honest, I'm tired of our current formation, I respect Tuchel and thinks he's the right coach for our team, but the formation has to be changed.

What I'd like to see:

------------ Kepa -----------

James - Chalobah - Silva - Chilwell

------- Kovacic ---- Jorginho --------

Mount ----- Gallagher ------- Sterling

-------------- Broja ------------

* If Kova still unvailable, then RLC. If Broja still unvailable then it leaves us only with Havertz..

Keep your heads up , COME ON CHELS!!!

Have a feeling with Koulibaly out our back five will look different.

Can't see Mendy being dropped

                                  Mendy

                 Azpi        Silva     Cucurella

James      Jorginho        Gallagher        Chilwell

       Mount            Havertz              Sterling

If we do go this way with Chilwell and James back in thier favoured positions we might just do sometihng special.
