Massive game.

Need to step up, or the pressure will rapidly come onto the club and TT.

I agree, this is not the start we wanted and if we lose to a bang average Leicester team tomorrow the pressure will intensify on the manager.  Apart from Sterling we haven't really strengthened the first 11 and the goal drought continues.  While we don't know what irons are in the fire at the moment, apart from what we read in the news / social media, but if all the deals collapse I fear the worse based on what we saw at Leeds and Everton, as good as we appeared to be against Spurs, they sat back allowing us time on the ball and we missed some good chances.    Saturday will certainly be interesting as pressure is on both managers...lets hope we come out on top.

So Broja is apparently fit, but Kovacic will be a bench option only, and will probably get 20 minutes ... so I guess it's Gallagher or RLC alongside Jorginho in the pivot, unless Tuchel does something unexpected and plays 4-3-3 or something.

I wonder if he will start Broja, or continue with Sterling out of position as a false 9 ? or go back to Havertz as the central attacker ? I'd give Broja a go if it was up to me 🙂

Has to be Ruben with Jorginho. At least Ruben has some decent carrying ability with the ball.

Gallagher is a loss cause in the pivot. Almost as bad as Saul.

Kepa

Def: James,  Chalobah,  Silva,  Chilwell/Cucu

Mid: Jorghino Ruben:

Attack: Sterling,  Conor,  Mount

ST: Broja/Havertz

Conor should be freed up and play attacking mid.

Tbh I'd like this team a lot had it been Kovacic instead of Ruben.

Based on who is available I echo the calls for us to go to a back 4. Our defence has been cr@p in all 3 games with the back 3 anyways:

Now I know Kova cannot start I would like to see:

Kepa

James

Chalobah

Silva

Cucurella

Ampadu

Casadei

Gallagher

Sterling

Broja

Pulisic

A 39 year old Silva in a back 4? A 19 year old new signing who has never played a single top flight game? Ampadu, who has struggled to impress on any loan. And Broja who has had about 1 day back from injury?

Thank f**k you're not the manager!

Silva is 38 😉

Hey it would be entertaining, live a little man 😉

Interesting choice there. I don't think Casadei will feature until the Carabao cup though.

I predict:

Mendy

RLC

James

Thiago

Cucurella

Chilwell

Jorginho

Gallagher

Mount

Havertz

Sterling

Now that is a much nicer reply, thank you @forbzy! Some people are just so rude around here *cough* Zeta *cough*.

Think you may well be bang on with your assessment Of the likely line up. On Casadei too, I do not know, just the articles I have read on him he seems to have something about him, a bit of nastiness we could use in the middle, all our midfielders are too nice.

Looking forward to seeing that Russian bloke hopefully get a chance too.

Let's hope last week was that one off sh1touse performance we put up every season under Tuchel. Expect a lot more as this is a home game, and if Tuchel couldn't get player fired up after last week, there's something seriously wrong. Without KK, defending set pieces be a nightmare, hopefully Chalobah will play. At least 3-4 from last week should be dropped, need that kick in the backside.

TT has indicated he will continue to trust the normal system and players in his presser.

Want Kepa to start but doubt Tuchel will bench Mendy...

Kepa

Dave Silva Cucurella

James Jourinho RLC Chillwell

Mount Havertz Sterling

We really have to start playing three in midfield some time. We have a preponderance of midfielders who play best as advanced midfielders (Gallagher, Loftus-Cheek, Chukwuemeka, maybe Mount), and our most effective wide attacking threat is from our wing-backs. Our lack of competent defensive cover in holding midfield, Koulibaly's idiotic suspension, and Tuchel going out of his way to alienate all of his wingers essentially locks us into a 3-5-2 for the immediate future.

We'll need Chalobah's height (both to balance the presence of Cucurella in the back three and to exploit Leicester's weakness at set pieces), and James to start at RWB rather than further back. Loftus-Cheek has probably done more so far this season to justify a start than Gallagher, but I want to see how the latter fares in his natural position (and he actually scores sometimes). Havertz has tended to play better centrally in a two-man attack as well. The rest of the side picks itself. So:

---------------------------Mendy

-------Chalobah--------Silva-------Cucurella

-------------------------Jorginho
James------Gallagher----------Mount-------Chilwell

--------------------------------Sterling
---------------------Havertz

No idea about Chilly but in theory that‘d be my setup as well. RLC should start ahead of Gallagher but not sure how the latter works as a sub and Ruben showed he can be brought in and perform right away. If Chilly isn‘t up to it than James as LWB and Ruben as RWB

we‘ll win this.
