This is the first big test for Alonsos team. Im looking forward to it. I doubt we would have expected to be facing the league champions with such an exciting team a few months back. I wonder if we can outscore them today? Hoping Palmer Rodgers Pedro can strike gold. Doubt we will get many clear cut chances but we need to take them, for sure. Im hoping for a good solid (if unexpected) performance from our midfield and defence.🤞
    Come on you Chels!

For me the games I really don't want to lose are, in order.....
    Spurs - Needs no explanation.
Liverpool - Arrogant entitled fans, games in the 2000s added to it.
    Arsenal - See above
Barcelona - Horrible cheating nasty team, but always media darlings.
United - This one has faded since they've been sh*t

Just two left in the "bomb" squad now then. Slonina and Paez !
I'm sure they'll find a loan for Paez at some Turkish club, or maybe today/tomorrow in sunny Scotland 😎
Slonina is a weird one. Very surprised he didn't leave as his career is going nowhere with us ...
Expect Celtic to finalise the loans for Mheuka and Emenalo as well before the Scottish window closes at 5pm tomorrow.

I make it we are at 29 players for the first team squad (including the 3 academy teenagers that Xabi gave shirt numbers to).
    3 GK: Martinez, Penders, Sharman-Lowe
11 DEF: Palestra, Fofana. Lacroix, Colwill, Hato, James, Gusto, Chavarria, Anselmino, Acheampong, Subuloye
6 MID: Barco, Henderson, Caicedo, Watson, Nicoll-Jazuli, Lavia
9 FWD: Neto, Joao Pedro, Palmer, Gittens, Rogers, Welbeck, Emegha, Quenda, Estevao

Looks OK to me for a season without European football !

When asked by a reporter about the booing every time he touched the ball Barco said ths:
“Honest to God? It felt like a Tuesday. I was getting screamed at by grown men in reserve matches back at Boca when I was 16. You think a crowd whistling at Stamford Bridge frightens me? Go play at La Bombonera when you misplace a pass—people are literally hanging off the iron fences, screaming in your face, ready to jump over. That is pressure. This over here? This is easy."

I'm liking this kid so far.

For the sake of extra 15m it’s really not worth it.
f*ck him off ASAP and get a replacement in. I’d be very happy with Scott or Wharton.
I think there’s one more signing in us as well, especially after Delap and Jackson sale. It could be a busy end to the transfer window.

All I see when it comes to support for these two players is that it will help the young players. Why will it help the young players? What do they have to learn from 36 year old Danny Welbeck and Jordan Henderson to refine their game take it to the next level? Welbeck spent his career as a complete failure at the top end of the league before finally making it as a semi decent midtable striker. Henderson has always been a phoney. The fake hardman act he had going at Liverpool. Some are saying he is coming to play cheerleader, well how does that help us? Henderson clapping like a seal on the side lines shouting "let's go lads"....yeah, that's really going to make a difference.
We had Thiago Silva around for 2 years with the young players, a much better player than Welbeck or Henderson could ever have dreamed, but what difference did that make? That didn't stop our defenders being so naive by getting caught out on every cross to the back post and falling asleep at crucial moments.
The whole "help the kids" line is just a lazy simple minded excuse. I'll tell you what would have helped these young players out, training alongside high quality players in their peak years. You will learn a lot more training alongside actual quality than you will from old man legs like Welbeck and Henderson and whatever words of wisdom people think they can pass on. If our young players were training amongst pro's that had been at the top level of the senior game for 10 years with plenty left to offer on the football pitch, it would have just naturally brought those young players up to their level, like how Terry learned from Desailly. They're not going to learn sh*t from a player that failed multiple times as a top end striker and a completely washed player like Henderson.

No issue with signing Welbeck, hes better than Jackson and Pedro and is a good experienced professional.
Henderson on the other hand, cant stand him, hypocritical little git.

Mudryk had 5 premier league goals in 31 premier league games before he was spiked.
Neto's best goal scoring season for us is 5 premier league goals in 34 premier league games.

We need to pray Mudryk is returned to us soon. Sweet prince.

What about Enzo Fernandez, or any player in Chelsea's squad over the last few months, makes you think that?

Is it? This is the vice-captain of Chelsea we're talking about and in the space of a 24 months he has:
Mocked his club teammates on the grounds of race and ethnicity
Openly tried to engineer a move to another club
Mocked his club's fans by making stupid political statements on the Falklands
He's an edgy man-child, not some sort of leader.

RIP Ken ….. it’s ironic that he passed within 24 hrs of Ann Widdecombe I would imagine being both forthright and conservatives they would have been kindred spirits. I had problems with both of them but feel the loss, all the best to their families
On Ken - my experience of him in a personal level was great I would however point to the following of my experience of him, I think like most a mixed bag …….
Preseason friendly again Wokingham Town I would say late 80’s, he came round the crowd. He was a good laugh. A lot of “get your wallet out Ken” and “mines a pint” etc. to be fair he didn’t buy us all a pint but he subsidised the bar so drinks were cheaper
My 30th Birthday home game against Arsenal. I was living abroad at the time and had temporarily given up my season ticket. I couldn’t get a ticket for the match. My then wife wrote to him and I got two very nice complementary tickets
I will never forgive him for his stance on the fans, yes he had to be tough but it was the minority not the majority ruining it for others. Electric fences, treating us like animals was piss poor response
He saved our club and sold us to Roman
    RIP Ken

A very sad day for the club.
Always loved Ken. Sometimes a loose cannon and polarising at the best of times, but I always appreciated his no nonsense approach and the way he acted in the club's best interests.
He took on the club at its lowest ebb in the early 80s, laid much of the foundations that modernised Chelsea in the 90s and early 00s and turned it into the powerhouse it was under Roman.
A life well lived. RIP Ken.

He leaves having contributed 6 goals and 6 assists in 1646 minutes of first team action as a raw 18-20 year old who's been shunted around multiple positions which aren't necessarily his best one. The sort of record we'd all love to see from our so-called better forwards that we've paid a fortune for.
Good luck to him in the rest of his career anyway !

I sincerely hope he’s spent all his recovery in the gym bulking up and also in the classroom studying the game and also on the pitch practicing his first and second and sometimes even third touch and his shooting and his passing and his tracking back and his heading and his link up play and his off ball runs then he MIGHT be ready for a League One loan.
