Bournemouth v Chelsea (PL) Sun 17th Sep 2023 14:00 GMT
Positive post ....We have 2 of our 3 strikers injured, Sanchez played well, he had to though. Palmer looks good on the ball, and a starter for me. Players coming back from injury in the next few weeks. Clutching at straws I know, but I'm not going let my beloved club be dragged through the mud every week. If you dont want to watch your team then you shouldnt support them. If all supporters felt like that then two thirds of grounds would be empty every week. Our time will come again, just be patient .

I'm usually a glass half full kinda supporter, but this side looks void of anything to get excited about. Let's hope Sterling and Mudryk together can conjure up something we haven't seen yet? We really need this win.

Should Graham Potter be sacked? (2nd poll)
The players coming back from injury will give us our respectability back. I'm not saying we will be tearing trees up, but if you look at where we were in May /June last year, with the possibility of there being no Chelsea fc at all, then it puts today's situation Into perspective. Don't get me wrong, I'm far from happy with our league position, but, this sense of entitlement that we should be top 6 every year is crazy. Suck it up for now and look forward to the great Chelsea comeback. It will happen!

Should Graham Potter be sacked?
Fair point, the only tangible evidence we can go on, is that experienced pundits, and there were many of them, touted him as the next England manager and felt he had the quality to move to bigger things. Is that enough to believe he can get Chelsea back to winning ways ? Who knows ,but for myself ,I dont want to go back to the hire and fire culture at Chelsea. We've become a laughing stock over the past few years IMO , and I personally am prepared to take the pain ,and hope for the gain in the medium to long term .

Should Graham Potter be sacked?
Nice post, took the words right out of my mouth. I would add though that this constant craving for success becomes overwhelming . We have to sit back sometimes and look at the big picture. Even if ,say after a 6 months to a year, Potter has moved the team forward , sold the deadwood and brought in some young talent and we are in a better place than we are now, THEN if results dont come, then calls for him to be sacked would be valid in my view, but not yet , give the guy a chance, Rome wasn't built in a day. We can all see this isnt going to be turned round quickly, so suck it up and let him do his stuff, as hard as it to watch sometimes, and believe me its a tough watch . Potter wasnt brought in to be the quick fix manager we've grown accustomed to over the last 10 years, this is a new era, with a new owner doing it his way.

Champions League Draw
Could have been worse, I was half expecting PSG to pop up, but I'll take that. Lets hope our injury crisis will have abated and we are back to winning ways !

Graham Potter (Now Sacked ) - *Official* New (Now Old) Chelsea Manager
Recent posts have mentioned that Potter could struggle with the ego's of some of our so called world class players, and they are possibly right. But I think this has to start from the top, and as much as I admired Tuchel for his success at Chelsea, I felt HIS ego was becoming the problem at Chelsea, and not the players. Tod could see it, even if we couldnt and made the hard call that we wouldn't have had the balls to make. Let's move on, we are Chelsea !

Two Transfer Window Ban?
This has probably been asked before, but are we able to loan players during the transfer ban ? If yes, then it may get us out of the proverbial for a year. We could have asked for Bale for example, as part of the deal with Hazard. I can think of several players, not getting game time, Coutihno being another one who might consider a year with us before they find a permanent move ?

Chelsea get Top FOUR
Sorry Old Shaggy, I've obviously missed a few posts.........I had heard that the rules had changed for next season, and that the fifth spot would be given to the lower tier countries out of the Eng/ Spain/ Italy Germany group and go to France etc ?
-
Chelsea get Top FOUR
Correct me if I'm wrong, and for pissing unnecessarily on our bonfire, but if the Arse win the Europa League, but finish outside the top 4, that means they will claim a Champions league slot due to winning the Europa League, and the team in fourth spot in the Premier League lose their automatic Champions league place, which, if we slip up against Leicester could be us ???......as only 4 champions league places are allocated per country ?

Olivier Giroud to Chelsea
Spuds landed on their feet with Kane, admittedly. We just havent seen anything of his quality for a few years now.
