90 + 2, right? Great way to pull it out. The USMNT, unless they collapse, should clinch one of the WC qualifying spots for Brasil.

United States National Team Thread
I think it was more of a wake up for Germany than anything, even if it was not the bulk of their starters. Still, even after taking into account that it was Germany's backups and recent call ups for evaluation, it was overall a better display by the US. Klinsmann was able to get the US to show more of an attacking style to their play. The problem is the US defence. There are still major holes that need to be filled and I'm not sure that Klinsmann has the resources to do so. Germany on the other hand is a completely different team with their starters as I'm sure you realise. I do not expect to see those same mistakes come the WC qualifiers and eventually the WC. Fair play by the US though. I hope they do improve to in turn help improve the notoriety of the sport in the US.

Any game recommendation?
I haven't picked up the new xpac yet... Most likely because I haven't had much time to play games. I'll get it soon enough.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
What a brilliant interview! I feel excited and anxious after watching it. Jose said EVERYTHING correctly. This is the man to lead our club for a long time coming. I am with Jose, I do not need a holiday. Bring on the season! I have no idea how I will be able to wait six weeks after watching that.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
My first reaction is relief... I am extremely relieved to hear this news. Ever get that feeling where you just know things are going to be alright after an extremely nerve wracking period? That's how I feel. And yes, happy along with it. I feel just as I did when we won the CL. I'm waiting to be pinched. Welcome home Jose, back where you belong!

Undeniably, Unquestionably, Undisputed Number 1

I worry about the board more than our coefficient.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
I have been so up and down about Jose coming back, that is for sure. It is not because I do not want him to come back, let me assure you. I cannot predict the future, however that does not stop me from guessing what might happen based upon the past. I see two realistic scenarios... Our first scenario is that Jose comes back and fixes the holes that we have in our squad immediately. We have such a great core of individuals, some outstanding veteran leadership, and young stars or talent about to become stars that one cannot help but feel excited about our future especially with Jose at the helm. We may or may not win the CL or even the PL in year one, but we will be as dangerous as anyone. I would expect us to compete for most trophies. We build on that and it makes for an even more enticing and exciting year two. Our second scenario is not nearly as optimistic. I do not doubt Jose's ability to do the job, not for a moment, but there is work to be done and we do need a few players. What happens if we get off to a slow start? Would Roman and the board get itchy if we were 3rd... 4th... or even 5th after the first few months? What if we are in that same position come February? To add to this, has anyone looked at the UEFA coefficient article on WAGNH? What would happen if we get another "group of death" and we were eliminated in the CL group phase? Add that to a slow start in the PL and would the board start to panic? Again, let me reiterate that I have no doubts about Jose and I would be ok with scenario two. I do not care if we get off to a slower start. I know Jose will do well and I would rather him be here even if that means it takes time to get the team where he wants them to be. However, I do not trust those making the hiring/firing decisions as far as I can throw them. I would hate to see Jose trying to put his blueprint on this team, have a "bad moment", and the board sack him for not getting results too quickly. We have seen it before, I can only feel that we will see it again. And I cannot help feeling some dread about it. Maybe Roman really will be more patient this time around. Maybe he realises that Jose is, and has been, the man for the job since day one and he will sure more patience. One can only hope. With that said... I am ready to see (and hear) that Jose has made it home. I hope he stays much longer this time around.

I might have to jump in on this... How many of you are trying to go?

Football Manager 2012
Yeah, it was $14. It's still 50% cheaper than what Cam was saying and that might be per Steam market.

UEFA Champions League Final 2013
^ Monreal cracks me up... "We're #1!" No, you're #4, and lucky to be that. You're celebrating like you finished #1 though... So good effort I guess? Or was it "Wait 1 second!" For what I have no idea...

Football Manager 2012
I guess it depends on the country. I just picked it up this weekend and it was a lot cheaper.

UEFA Champions League Final 2013
Well done to Bayern. They are the best team in Europe. With Götze and Lewandowski (probably), they could be even better. I cannot give enough praise though to Dortmund. What a spirited effort they put in and they should be proud. Definitely an entertaining final to say the least. One last note... I cannot stand Ribery the prick. Debatable red card for the elbow he threw and, between him and Boateng, rolled around the ground for a good bulk of the match.

UEFA Champions League Final 2013
I think Bayern is even stronger this time around. After their dismantling of Barca, I just don't know if BVB has it in them. The good thing is that they play Bayern enough so they certainly aren't scared of them. 3-1 to Bayern

^ My son was the same way Eb. I showed him some of the stuff that Microsoft presented and he was just meh over the whole thing. I wonder how the PS4 is going to look...

If you have Steam, you can get it right from there... At least that's how it was for FM2012.

Last Movie You Watched
^ Yes it will, especially with all of the tidbits in the new movie. They have certainly opened lots of doors. And I'm pretty sure I read that most of the cast is already signed on for the third film. The question is whether or not JJ is going to be the director or if he will be too busy with the new Star Wars films.

The Rafa Benitez Thread (merged)
No one knows exactly what Roman wants. Sure, I'll buy that he probably wants more attacking football with a flair making matches more exciting for him. I don't know for sure though. He might only care of a match outcome. He might care if we're not winning by enough. He might not like if we're not playing a certain formation, or with certain players. I can do this all day, the possibilities are endless. But you, nor anyone else except Roman himself, cannot say that last year was not how he wanted to win the CL. My belief is that the man wanted it at all costs, and that is what I'm sticking with until I hear him say differently. Last year was special, and how we won under the circumstances we were in made it all the more special. Mate, if you cannot see the how or the why then I cannot help you. I would not trade how we won last year, with those results, and who was at the helm for anything. So yes, I REALLY enjoyed the way we won it last year and I believe that many fans would agree with me.
