I would have been hard pressed not to laugh at that either. I would have probably quipped that he forgot the decimal point... .45% is much more realistic. I asked one of my company directors, who is a Barca fan, if they had any shot of progressing. His answer... "Absolutely not." At least he's not delusional. Bayern needs to finish the job so we can sit back and smile.

I would like to get Strootman on the squad. He has a lot of potential, combined with the fact that he's very good now, and a great football sense on the pitch. He's the type of box-to-box midfielder that we need and could link up with our attacking trio quite nicely. And definitely a good read, thanks for posting it.

Another score I did not expect. Well done to Dortmund, well done indeed. Again, as long as they don't fall asleep or try to do too much, they should advance to meet Bayern (hopefully) in the final. Lewandowski and Reus were spectacular. No, they were better than that, I just don't know the words to use. An outstanding performance as a whole and a well deserved 4-1 victory. All German final? Oh, I would definitely enjoy that. I do feel for Jose and RM (a bit) but I hope Jose uses it as fuel to be done and come here (not fuel to go on one more season and try to win the CL with RM which is probably the more likely of scenarios).

What platform?

I need to read the books. My wife has read the first three and for as good as the HBO series is, she tells me the books are that much better. And I give full credit to HBO. The TV series is very good. Episode four was probably the best this season to date and one of the better ones from all three seasons.

Woke up this morning feeling fresh and invigorated but couldn't put my finger on why. Then it hit me... Benitez got fired! Alas, I already knew that was not the case. Still though, something was causing me to feel good and lively where normally I need my morning coffee to function. I check my football news and there it is. FOUR TO NIL. Bayern! And I see an article with Villanova complaining about goals! How lovely. Barcelona complaining that they've been wronged. Oh, the irony in that. I know Bayern is an honourable club, I'm sure they would be willing to discuss the possible offsides goal(s) as soon as Villanova is willing to discuss Pique's inability to keep his arms and hands off the ball. If I were Barcelona, I would just admit we got whipped and go back to the drawing board. It does not matter if Bayern were that good or Barca were that bad. The result was 4-0 and there is no other way to put it. You got beat. If Bayern can keep composure, they are through. Barca may have come back and beat AC Milan 4-0 at the Nou but Bayern is much better than Milan.
