How Ribery escaped a card is beyond me. He's been a fouling machine tonight.

Ribery off for Müller.

Oh no doubt. I was the one talking about how we could handle Gomez and he goes and makes a mess out of that opportunity. And it was one large mess...

Gomez has been quality this season. Definitely not on that occasion...

Robben with a yellow, and harshly. He got hacked.

Kroos has been excellent tonight for Bayern. He's definitely their catalyst to make things happen.

Robben looks so much younger in those pictures Gem.

Chelsea v Bayern Munich (CL Final) 19/05/12 KO 19:45 BST
That's not true. Ribery has been rolling all over the pitch. Swear he's been "shot" a good half-dozen times at this point.

Yes he is. Another great German product. They have a lot of them lately.

I'm disappointed at the lack of cards.

Chelsea v Bayern Munich (CL Final) 19/05/12 KO 19:45 BST
Guess we've adopted this thread to talk about the semi tonight? I'm good with that. Really want Bayern to go through but with a few more cards. I think Drogs would have a field day with their back line regardless. I also think we could keep Robben and Ribery in check. Gomez could be a different story...

Chelsea vs QPR (PL) 29/04/12 KO: 13:30 BST
I believe the answer is no. We would go to the CL along with the top three. Fifth place would go to Europa just as normal. Here's a question... Do we have to go to the CL qualification rounds if we win the CL but finish fourth or does third place go to the CL qualification round?

Rameries, Ivanovic, Meireles and JT out!
A lot hinges on Cahill and Luiz being healthy. If those two are healthy, we have a shot. Cahill is becoming a younger version of JT, and I believe he'll provide the leadership needed for the back line. Expect Cole on the left and Bossy on the right. Lamps will certainly be on the pitch wearing the armband. He will give us the leadership we need to get us through. He'll be partnered with Mikel as the 2 DMs. I don't see Torres playing the wing. I believe it's because RDM likes to keep him on the bench as a plan "B". We talked about Barca not having one, well if we throw Torres on the pitch at the same time as Drogs we don't really have one either. I believe we'll see Drogba start with Mata feeding him in the center. I expect Sturridge on the right. Does that leave Malouda for the left? That scares me to bits. That also leaves us with a very thin bench. If Bayern win, they could be in the same situation. I believe they have up to 7 players that could be out if they get cards tonight. They could be in the same situation as we are.

Agreed. That alone would be worth the £50 million.

Chelsea v Bayern Munich (CL Final) 19/05/12 KO 19:45 BST
I'm buzzing as well, and I'm excited for the final. I'm really hoping that Cahill and Luiz will be healthy for it. If those two are healthy, we could be ok. The match is in 3 weeks time, so hoping they can recover by then. Lamps definitely has to start. This is his moment. He will provide the leadership in JT's absence. Cahill will take over the back line as the mini-JT. I can't make it to Munich, but I might reach out to some of the locals here to watch the match. I want to be surrounded by Chelsea fans win or lose!

I have fired out some emails myself. I'm hoping our Barca fans here at work come to visit me. Please come and visit!

Sounds like right as Messi missed the penalty.

Rameries, Ivanovic, Meireles and JT out!
This looks like a decent guess at the lineup if Cahill and Luiz are healthy. If they are not healthy... Well, I don't even want to think about that at the moment.

MOTM vs Barca
Besides JT's lapse of judgement, who wasn't immense tonight? Amazing effort by the whole team! Absolutely amazing! If I had to pick one though, it would be Cech by just a hair over Rambo and Lamps.

Barcelona v Chelsea (CL SF 2nd Leg) 24/04/12 KO 19:45 BST
Silly me, I didn't realise that this game was all about possession and attacking with no defending. Barca, take note: If your defending wasn't so horrible, you wouldn't have conceded 3 goals in 180 minutes on counters.

Barcelona v Chelsea (CL SF 2nd Leg) 24/04/12 KO 19:45 BST
Bayern could be in real trouble depending on how card happy the ref is tomorrow night if they make it through. That's a long list of players.

50 Million Quid
Good for Nando! I'll be the first to admit that he hasn't been the striker that I've hoped he would be. However, talk about a confidence boost! If that doesn't get his blood pumping wanting us to win the final, then nothing will. The lads all get to be proud tonight, along with RDM. This is the effort we all wanted to see, and that effort gave us the win. Damn proud to be a fan, damn proud!!
