  1. I'm watching it... Sort of. I'm also surfing this forums and doing other web surfing trying to figure something out. Great pass by Bradley though to set up the cross for the USA goal. That was class.
  2. Good read KrazyTea, thanks for posting that.
  3. Eurosport is quoting him, under the headline that he's chosen Chelsea, to say that he's "always dreamed of playing the No 10 role, and wearing that number on my back..." Mata wears that 10, and I don't see him giving that up. I hope this kid isn't thinking he's going to solely play that role IF it's really true and he's signed here. Eurosport is also saying that his salary is around 170k/week.
  4. I'm not offended by it. I find it to be a tad humourous. 1. Most that call us Chelski are just jealous of our success and our club. 2. Most that call us Chelski don't have enough brain cells to come up with anything better. I'm sure that most are more offended by Chelsea being Champions of Europe. My answer to that is this... Good.
  5. Even in their dreams we snatch away their chances of winning, and even qualifying, from them. I can't stop smiling about it.
  6. I think it's pretty safe to assume that if Pep is available that RA is definitely going to make a play for him. And if you believe any of the reports, Pep is available. As to whether or not he fits Chelsea, I'm on the fence. I know that Pep has gone from the reserves team to the first team. I agree that Pep has seen a lot of these players and made some of them into the players that they are today. He's done a fantastic job at Barca. Chelsea is a completely different setup. The similarity is the pressure on the manager to succeed. What none of us have seen is Pep walking into a team that is different. If he goes the route of trying to mimic Barca here, he's going to fail at first. We are not Barca. The question I have is can Pep play to the strengths of this team while trying to mold us into what he feels is his squad moving forward? We know RDM can play to the strengths of this team, he's done it. It's hard to say no to RDM, but I feel that if Pep is truly available that he's the guy that RA will want no matter how much the players, and us fans, love RDM. If it were me in charge, my important criteria is trophies. RDM already has 2 with what most believe is the "weakest" squad we've had in years. I wouldn't be able to say no to RDM. i'm not RA though, and I'm not in charge. It's going to be interesting to see where this goes.
  7. Sad day to be a Blue, that's for sure. Thanks Drogs for everything you've done. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Without you, we wouldn't have a lot of the trophies that we've gotten in recent times. My only favour I ask of you is to not terrorise us in the future. I wish you all the best, and thank you again for being one of us!
  8. I would have loved to see Modric here last summer. This summer, I'm not sure we need him. We need wingers more than anything right now. We might even need a striker depending on what is happening with both Drogs and Torres. If we got him fairly cheap, sure. However, we know that's not going to happen so we might as well spend our money on our greatest positions of need.
  9. Dortmund is pretty large. They sell out every home match and their stadium fits over 80k in attendance for league matches.
  10. Definitely sad if true. Won't forget anything he's done for this club. Without the Drogs, we don't have a lot of the silverware that we have.
  11. I just got back from my mate and his wife's house. Unreal. I went from my heart beating 180 beats-per-minute to sheer disgust to sheer euphoria to sheer horror to sheer elation... And that was just between minutes 83 and 95. Never mind the fact that the lads did brilliantly all match once again to keep Bayern at bay. They had what, 42 shots? Only 9 of those were on goal. I just had a sinking feeling when we went to penalties. No way we could win this, I thought. There was no f**king way. The Germans don't lose to penalties. Lahm Gomez Neuer All scored (Neuer? Really??). Bayern up 3-1 on penalties. We're not coming back from that. Lamps powers one home. 3-2... Still not looking good. Olic is saved by Cech. Ok, let's get this tied. Ash puts it in. 3-3. We've got a shot. Schweinsteiger steps up and hesitates. He hesitates... Hits the post! OMFG! Drogba, time to do what you do. And he f**king did. HOLY... DID THAT JUST HAPPEN?!?! Cloud nine ladies and gents... Cloud f**king nine. I didn't shed a tear, but my lip quivered. There are a lot of great moments for this historic club. This is another one, and it's up there with the best. I saw this on twitter. 19/5... 1905. Chelsea FC, Champions of Europe. It's only starting to sink in. It sounds nice, I have to admit.
  12. Go Blackpool!! And now back to biting my nails and resisting the frosty beverages... Heh.
  13. It's official, I'm a wreck. I'm trying to resist not dipping into the fridge for some frosty beverages (and by that I mean beer) until at least after breakfast.
  14. This is what I expected. Really starting to brick it now.
  15. I'm on the American servers as well. In a month's time or so, I'll have a toon on the European servers. My friend and I are just in Act II. Got my DH to level 18 and she's rockin it. Having so much fun playing her.
  16. Nervous as f**k now. I'm not sure how I'm going to handle myself if we lose. We've had some big games in the history of this club ladies and gents, and this is right up there with the most important of them. Roman's "grail" of sorts is within reach.
  17. We've gone from Capello to Redknapp?!?! Ok, joke's on me. Who's trying to secure the "Clown of the Year" award?
  18. Arq replied to Tim W's topic in Entertainment
    RIP Donna, very sad indeed.
  19. I'm seeing reports that Wigan have given Liverpool approval to start to negotiate with Martinez.
  20. Samdwich, if we're going for a short term answer and RDM isn't it, I'm with you on saying I'd rather see Hiddink than Capello. Then RA can continue to court Pep for one or two years, or whoever else he wants to court.
  21. If we're so bent on not having RDM, why doesn't RA just throw everything at Pep? Heck, give RDM one year more to prove he can do the job then get Pep after his year off if it doesn't work out. I don't see Capello as the answer. Remember, Capello is also older. He would not be a long term manager. Yes, I realize we haven't had a long term manager in ages but that doesn't mean we should continue that trend. Unless Capello is getting just one year then RA is going after Pep? I'd still rather stick with RDM if that's the thinking.
  22. No templar since I'm going duo with a buddy. The templar sits at the Inn and gets drunk.
  23. Also just saw AVB to Liverpool. Woohoo for the offseason! (not ours yet)
  24. I'm seeing twitter posts that Steve Clarke has left as well... Any confirmation on that?
  25. I wonder how soon until we see the "Pep to Liverpool" rumours...
