Got to watch the whole match then immediately left to get some things done. Elated, like many of you, that Torres scored. I actually had to run outside to yell or I would have waken the baby up from her nap. That was a class move after the ball got slowed to almost a stop by that puddle. Really thought Cech was our MOTM, and that's who I voted for. The man keeps us in so many games with excellent goalkeeping. Overall a good day. There was a lull during the 2nd part of the 1st half but I felt we were unlucky to not finish after a very good start. 3-0 finish and let's hope LeArse drop some points tomorrow.

Cech for me. I might be happiest about Torres scoring and getting an assist though.

Ah, I didn't start watching until pretty late in the first half at some point, and even then it was sporadic while I was doing other things. Trying to knock out some of the "Honey do" list before our match. :)

Agree Cam. I only caught one blatant penalty, the Ferdinand one in the second half. I didn't watch the whole match, so I very well could have missed the other.

The best we can do is win our remaining fixtures and hope LeArse do us a favour. I don't see the second part of my previous sentence happening, but let's do what we can by winning what we have in front of us.

He has one year on his contract after the season ends right? Why would we let him go if he has one year left. We know he's getting older but he still has loads of talent. And imho, we need him. Sturridge, if he continues to progress, should be a worthy consideration as a long term replacement for Drogs. Forwards for next year: Torres, Drogba, Sturridge, Kalou Why do we need any more than that?
