Any game recommendation?
Yes they were Castiel. Even WoW, as much as some people cannot stand it, is amazing to still have over 7 million players for being a 9 year old game. Something to be said for that. Diablo, the series as a whole, was pretty darn good. Diablo 2, after patches and expansion packs, was the pinnacle. I think that may be some of the downfall of Diablo 3... Super high expectations. If Blizzard can deliver on their new MMO code named "Titan", they'll still be in the driver's seat for years to come.

Victor Moses
I'm not happy with this for our sake, but I feel for Moses. He's done nothing short of his job and hasn't been bad for us at all. And yet we overstock at his position and force him to go on loan? I could understand if he is none too happy with us at this moment. I certainly do not want to see Liverpool get any stronger especially at our expense. We went through this with Yossi and Arsenal. It's certainly debatable if he improved them but why loan to a club that can compete with us for top 4? It's maddening really. If Moses actually does go to Liverpool, which certainly looks to be the case with him in the stands yesterday, I hope he does well and helps take some points from our competition on the top 4. I also hope that it does not come to bite us in the arse later on... Not to derail the thread, but I also certainly do NOT want to see Özil in an Arsenal kit. I wanted him back before he was even linked to Real. He also would have an immediate synergy with Podolski. Needless to say, I believe he would certainly improve Arsenal... A lot.

Interesting trailer Coco. Thanks for posting it.

Champions League 2013/14
Off topic, but I didn't really put it together until seeing that picture a few posts up that the Emirates sponsor four of the most popular clubs on the planet. I wonder how that does for their bottom line...

Any game recommendation?
I do. The game itself is good. However, there are some serious issues on PC that fortunately the PS3 version will not have. The RMAH (Real Money Auction House) basically destroyed the PC version of the game imho. You can pay for whatever items you want making the game all that much easier. Since the viable droprate is awful (when does a Demon Hunter need strength for the 2h crossbow, hmm?), players are forced to use either the standard gold AH or the RMAH. Since you get buy items for cash or buy a ton of gold cheap to use on the standard AH, prices are extremely inflated. It's a vicious cycle that has no end. I basically played my DH through Inferno then stopped. The good news for the console is that there is no RMAH. There is also (supposedly) a better usable droprate for classes. The gameplay is very good. I never really felt out of control on my DH. I thought reaction times were very well and I feel most of the mobs are balanced pretty decently. The levels are very detailed and I enjoyed the additional random caves, dungeon areas, etc. as you advance up the difficultly level. It's tough to beat the same game 4 times in a row even with different loot, caves, etc. The story though is average at best imho. I was hoping for a bit more. I won't get it for console because I have it on PC. I believe my son wants it though, so we might get it for him at some point.

Have to agree. As much as I feel dirty for saying it, I'd rather see Liverpool win this one. Besides, if Liverpool win we get front row seats to the meltdown afterwords. You KNOW they will be spouting even more that "this is their year" and to see it crumble before their eyes... Oh, the joy.

Chelsea v Bayern (UEFA Super Cup) 30/8/13 KO 19:45 GMT
Disappointed with the result, but very happy with the performance of the lads. There are some real positives from this and as a few have said (I haven't read through this whole thread) already, we were not only able to hang with Europe's best team but they couldn't finish us even after we went down to 10 men. Bayern is nothing short of a tremendous team. To push them to the brink is very good for us with such a young side. Very gutted for Lukaku. I believe that this type of disappointment will fuel him for the future. No one wants to lose and you can tell that it broke his heart to feel like he was the one that let the team down. Granted, I was underwhelmed at his penalty but I hope no one on here was slagging the guy. He will learn from this and return more hungry and determined than ever. Some really good positives can be taken from this performance. I'm looking forward as to how this team gels and gets better as the season goes on. Congrats to Zippy, Maldeika, and all of the Bayern fans. You will see us again, bet on it.

Welcome! I hope he does well for us.

Thfc, with the squad additions you definitely have strengthened enough to push for that CL spot. At this point, the Bale transfer is more of a nuisance than anything. I'd imagine most fans would want it over.

Eto'o & Willian to Chelsea?
If he's taken a wage cut, and it's a short contract, then I'm all up for this move. It should make us better without breaking the bank. I still would have liked to see a bid for Ibra. No, I just cannot let it go.

I've seen quite a few posts mention about Willian having no class so it's a perfect fit with our classless organisation. And yet they ramble on, cursing him out, cursing us out, talking about singing how he is a c**t, etc. Pot, say hi to kettle. They read like a bunch of immature and classless c**ts (see what I did there?). No offense Thfc.

Is Rooney worth a punt?
It's a shame. The more this went on, the more I was actually liking the idea of Rooney joining us. It's not going to happen, at least not now...

Any game recommendation?
BF4 looks pretty good, I might have to grab it. I agree Bluedave, the return of the commander role should make the online action all the better... Or at the very least, more interesting.

Willian to Chelsea
I'm good with Willian now supposedly being uninterested in Spurs. Great! I am concerned about reading this possible Mata for Rooney swap. It would be disheartening to lose our best player over the past two seasons. However, as mentioned before, we heard a lot of rumours about KdB and we see that worked out for us. I'm not going to get too worked up about losing Mata yet. I do agree with most of you though in saying that buying Willian just to facilitate a Mata and Rooney swap is bonkers.

Next generation consoles
When we return to the US, I'll get both my son and I PS4's. He just got his PS3 last Christmas (he didn't really want one since he had his Xbox blinders on), but since getting it he has no interest in his Xbox at all. I still have one of the PS3s that play PS2 games... Not that I have any PS2 games.

Chelsea v Hull City (PL) 18/08/13 KO 16:00 BST
I have nothing really to add but I'm just so happy to have football back and cannot wait to see the Chels in action. This offseason has felt like an eternity.

New Phone Advice / Opinions
Wow, you're one of the few that I've heard that has moved to BlackBerry from the iPhone or an Android device. Thoughts on the Z10? I've read that it is pretty underwhelming but I do not know anyone personally that has one.

Football Withdrawal Disorder
The Germany vs Norway match was quite entertaining to watch... Minus that whole Germany losing thing (at least for me).

Should the World Cup be moved?
Let's go one step further with that quote... "The World Cup must be a festival of the people. But for it to be such a festival, you can't play football in the summer," Blatter told reporters. Excuse me? The World Cup is held in the summer. It has been since it's inception in 1930 (correct me if I'm wrong here). By awarding the World Cup to Qatar, FIFA has either demonstrated their ineptness, their corruption, or both. If Qatar could not host the World Cup in the summer, then they should not have been awarded it. Qatar promised fully equipped AC stadiums. And everyone with half a brain cell knows that Qatar gets extremely hot in the summer. And yet they won after having, at one stage, the worst proposal of the countries vying for the 2022 World Cup. Hmm... Plus, I agree with the sentiment that it has isolated those individuals that are gay. It's not just about the gay players, but the gay fans as well. All will have a tough time trying to go enjoy the World Cup in Qatar. To add to that, let's not forget women. This is a Middle Eastern country and women are still held in a lesser regard in many Middle Eastern countries. While it's not so bad here in the UAE, and I'm not sure how Qatar compares, there have been times out here where it's very apparent that a woman's opinion is just worth sh*t. So in short, the 2022 World Cup venue may not be a good place for gays and women. Brilliant. I have nothing against Qatar or any other Middle Eastern country hosting the WC. The U17 WC is going to be here in the UAE this fall. I just feel that this was Blatter trying to cement his legacy while he and some of his cronies get their pockets lined full of cash. If that truly is the case, I hope that those individuals get caught and prosecuted for their corruption. They f**ked over the majority of football fans and players as far as I'm concerned. If the World Cup moves to the winter, I will be extremely furious. Sorry for the mini-rant. This just strikes a nerve with me.

Should the World Cup be moved?
If Qatar's climate is deemed to be unsuitable for the WC in the summer, then it should simply be awarded to whoever Qatar beat in the last round of votes. It's quite simple really. The revote just gives people time to add more corruption to the already corrupted process. And furthermore, isn't there a contingency plan in place for all of the WC venues? Sepp should have the ability to say, "Ok folks, due to circumstances X, Y, and Z we're moving to plan B." While I understand the WC is a huge venue and it's an insane amount of advertising, coordinating, planning, executing, etc. The "plan B" host country should be one that is mostly prepared already to support the matches and infrastructure for the teams. It just seems to me that FIFA, instead of trying to think ahead, is trying to react to the situations in an unproductive way. That just translates to poor planning the way I see it.
