Expecting to see some youngsters get a chance in this one. I don't rate Carling Cup but it's still a trophy that can be won. Kakuta, Sturridge, Van Aanholt, Bruma, Ramires etc should get to start in this one a long with Bosingwa to get his match fitness back. I would play like this. I really liked Flashforward which was cancelled after 1 season so I really don't want to give a new show a chance before knowing it won't be cancelled after 1 season again!!

There is no problem's with out Midfield, it's quality - don't see why people moan about it? Lampard, Essien, Mikel, Benayoun, Zhirkov, Malouda and Ramires that's 7 quality midfielders. And yeah how would you even know that german-blue? as dkw said he's played 60 min's, got 1 goal already, a bit fast to slag him off don't you think?

Don't think Inter fans will be bothered, they won everything when he was gone (CL, League and the domestic cups). Just glad that he will enjoy playing football again and Italy is where he is at his best - was hoping to see him in England though.

I love Anelka, he creates a lot of chances and for me that is his best role strolling behind everywhere on the pitch. The problems occur when Anelka is the only ST on the pitch but hopefully Kalou/sturridge can take that central role whenever Drogs is not playing.

Close call between Cole and Malouda, went for Malouda simply because we were really static in the first half, not moving well and he was the only one doing the runs together with Cole to open them up and resulted in the goal as well. Mikel and Terry not too far behind.

was sh*tting myself on 1-0, I knew Lampard would miss when he took it, just had that feeling and felt that it would be one of those getting loads of chances game but nothing from it and eventually end 1-1. I felt that we were really static at times and didnt move well, exceptions being A.Cole and Malouda who where the ones running like mad mans creating space. Thank god it's over. Really did now know why it took that long to get Ramires on though. PS - Wigan beat tottenham, well happy about that.
