And vidic is off (red card) for Man U, Shrek just scored a penalty to put them up 1-0 though

Who cares if Rooney is banned for the Euros?
Not sure how many people have seen this, but Rooney's appeal to UEFA has leaked to the press. It's an interesting read, not sure about his appeal angle but it may just work with UEFA even though they're notorious for not budging. Who knows what strange voodoo they use for the appeals process Oh and turns out it's hand-written

The Shooting Game
Haha yea that's brilliant Good to see the lads having fun (and Anelka and Drogba "bullying" the youngsters :P )

Bolton v Chelsea (PL) 2/10/11 KO 13:30 GMT
He almost did, probably should've taken it first time then scuffed the shot. Then Bolton off the post at the other end

I think the problem was that the buying club (Corinthians? I forget), didn't actually have the cash to pay the 40mil, it was going to be in installments whereas City wanted upfront payment

Torres Form
I saw this picture yesterday, think it answers all the questions

Is the Lampard era coming to an end?
Sounds like a non-story too me, seems the hacks are just trying to fabricate something again so they can have a go at Frank. Must just be pent up frustration that he's always conducted himself well and never really given them any real stories to try and hammer him (ala jt, giggs, ferdinand). His only real crime to the press is playing for Chelsea, and "making" stevie me play badly for england of course

Hang on, maybe that was part of the deal Suarez will get to play for us with Torres, but first he has to do his apprenticeship at our feeder club It's all in his contract , except he didn't realise the liverpool part till it was too late

Why do the shirt numbers look different in the Champions League?
Yea last year we had the same numbering style, the US college style block letters the best way I can think to describe it. Personally I think it looks pretty awesome but like footballoholic said, the PL uses a standard numbering style which is why they all generally look the same, I belive it's been a few years since they've changed anything

and considering he said "'Our first four games have had contentious decisions and every one this season has gone against us." Seems daglish is already starting to crack with a bit of pressure, how long before he walks out this time?

Raul Meireles *Now Signed*
I'm pretty happy with this transfer, especially against the £40mil (30 + alex) for modric which was too much, also done sone extensive research yesterday ( FIFA :p ) and he's a quality addition. Seriously though we've gotten a good set piece taker, quality experienced international and proven prem player, weakened a rivals squad while strengthening ours, midfield cover for the ACN and a player who won't stand in joshs development. And as for letting benayoun go, I think it ultimately comes down to AVB rating Josh higher than yossi. Oh and I told my Liverpool mate he might as well just buy a Chelsea top with Suarez on the back to save everyone time hehe

To be fair, there was some decent deflections in his goals (especially the second one) , but still fair play to him for having a crack

Koscielny just gone off injured in the 10th minute, looked like something with his back. Arsenal brought on another youngster ignacio miguel, fairly even so far with arsenal probably just shading it

Luka Modric
Hmm, possibly stronger but they'd lose alot of creativity and they're bringing in two very temperamental players. Adebayor of course we all know his attitude, but considering he'll be the top dog for their strikers and he might have a bit of a point to prove he will probably do well. Then Diarra we all know how he feels when he's not first choice, but definitely two quality players.

Arsenal won 1-0 against Udinese for the champs league, looks like they started well before Udinese started to get into the match and seems like they might've been lucky(?) with the 1-0 win. Still not a bad result to go to Italy with and they didn't concede. The bad news for them though is that Gibbs went off injured and then his replacement Djourou also went off injured so they're gonna be really stretched against liverpool on the weekend. Which means if liverpool win we'll have to hear all the rubbish about how it's there year all over again

I think the main thing with given is that he's a great shot stopper but is not great at organizing his defense. Still I'm sure arsenal would've still much better with him then the trash they've had in goals

Can AV-B help Mikel?
I thought luiz mostly played CB for benfica, in fact I think it was the 5-0(?) demolition job Porto did on them where hulk terrorized luiz at LB, with almost all the goals starting from there. The other part of playing him as a DM is that he'd need to curb his attacking instincts as he'd be the one dropping back to cover when one of the defenders pushes forward (like mikel does now) As for mikel I think he does a solid job in there, though the problem is he has a fairly relaxed style which makes him look lazy. And while he's not the best at DM, who is the alternative. Let's say we did get rid of him, who would replace him?

Following our ex`s...
Found this interview with Marcel Desailly, talks about Chelsea a fair bit and the proposed UEFA fair play rules and the Qatar world cup. Comes across as real intelligent as well... at least until the guy asks him who he thinks will win the premier league :|

Luka Modric
Haha just got this from a mate of mine, its a copy of Luka Modric's hand written transfer request :)

Samir Nasri

Liverpool's transfers
Fantastic castiel Maybe they can make a special pre-season delusional cup and Liverpool can play arsenal, give them at least one trophy to sing about
- Liverpool's transfers

Liverpool's transfers
Doesn't the meireles transfer have something to do with him coming on lowered wages for the first season then a substantial increase in the 2nd, and now liverpool are trying to avoid paying it. Either way looks like there gonna have a solid squad for all those European matches this year ;)
