If the unthinkable happened...
I'd assume if it ended up liverpool v spuds that common sense would prevail and the game would be cancelled as no sane person would care who won it

Yea Bayern v real should be a fantastic set of games. The two teams are fairly even anyway plus Bayern has the bonus motivation of a home final and trying to get "revenge" on Mourinho for the loss to inter in the final

Also Bayern 2-0 up (4-0 agg) and that's with resting Gomez and robben.

Seems to be either two schools of thought, one he knocked it too far forward so tried to save face and flopped, the other being that he didn't want to score against Newcastle. Gotta admit I kinda feel sorry for him after yesterday, the club he'd always wanted to play for in his home town, and instead of having the support of the crowd in his hometown he got absolutely ridiculed and embarrased last night. I'm sure he'll probably be fine but I could see him doing another quad injury while doing jagerbombs Also those RAWK threads are a quality read, but its like reality tv. Too much and it rots your brain Highlights for me are the guys blaming everyone but Kenny, (its Comollis fault for the transfers, its Steve Clarke's fault cause the players aren't pressing enough, Reina has lost it so he needs to go, 8th in the league + the carling cup is a succesful season)

Following our ex`s...
Rumours circulating around Australian media that the one and only Zola is coming to Melbourne to talk with the board about becoming the new coach for Melbourne Victory. I was pretty excited about this, but Zola's agent came out today and denied it saying he's been offered jobs from big clubs in Europe. Should be more on this later today, he was also linked earlier in the season to the Melbourne job when the then coach was sacked and now the spot is open again as the interim manager Jim Magilton is confirmed to be going home

Aston Villa v Chelsea (PL) 30/03/12 KO 15:00 BST
To be fair sals, that's not really an opinion more of a fact :) Should be an interesting game, I think Ash is starting to play well again (That block that Luiz did against Benfica Ash was behind him in his customary goal saving position) though I wouldn't mind seeing Bertrand get a run and giving ash a rest. Mata is a player that needs a rest along with most likely Ramires. I can see Malouda getting a run in this game though

So Bayern won 2-0 at Marseille (Gomez & Robben) so looks likes a Bayern v Real semi-final on the way 0-0 between AC and Barca, that tie could go either way though. AC did get the 2-2 draw in the group stages at the Nou Camp, should be an interesting return leg

Suarez wants out
Hope he doesn't leave them, it gets the media on them due to his idiotic actions and if they sold him they might actually buy a striker that can score goals. While I agree Suarez is a good player, he's nowhere near as good as people make him out to be (he's only got 1 more goal then an out of sorts drogba and I don't think their game time would be much different)

Do we dare be optimistic?
Well spurs are starting to crumble, and surely as the season goes on and if arsenal can secure their top4 position maybe they'll start getting distracted by the rvp contract/transfer dealings (not likely though) I think the big thing for us will be if we can start to find some form, defensively 3/4 are in good form, LB being the problem position midfield seems to be settling but the main thing will be if we can get a decent striker firing, wether its Torres drogba or Sturridge, as long as one of them starts banging in goals will be looking good

Rumour floating around that man city have agreed a deal with rvp for around 11million pounds a year and now they're starting to negotiate a price with arsenal. Not sure of the source though as it was the text commentary for the game and all they said was "Sunday papers" so might just be a load of bull Oh and podolski has denied claims he's got a done deal with arsenal, although he doesn't deny they've been in talks so could go either way

Chelsea v Stoke City (PL) 10/03/12 KO 15:00 GMT
I believe Ivan was subbed as he had a bit of a knock from that earlier stamp

Neymar
Maybe Or Neymar might struggle playing second fiddle to Messi, and do barca even have the cash to buy him? Also I don't believe he'll move before the world cup

If there were/was no CFC
For me if cfc was no more, I'd most likely treat the epl like I do la liga, simply have players I like watching instead of actively supporting a team. I'd still have Juve who I've supported as a kid (but is a massive pain in the arse to watch in Australia, the big advantage of EPL is the game times aren't too bad) and I'd have my local a-league team in Melbourne victory I will say one thing for the hypothetical though, even if for some reason abramovich threw in the towel. I'm fairly confident that Chelsea as a club and a brand wouldn't struggle to find other owners

Did Roman sack managers too quickly?
Ranieri - correct decision, I've always liked him and he conducted himself well under immense pressure but we where stepping up into being an elite club and he wasn't good enough Mourinho - correct decision in non-footballing terms as there was a fall out between him and the board, incorrect in footballing terms as he was still doing well Grant - correct, not a good enough coach as has been shown with his next coaching jobs, the incorrect decision was offering the contract extension. All he did was steady the ship, his tactical nous was severely lacking as I can only think of one occasion where his subs changed the game Scolari - correct decision, wasn't a good enough coach, struggled to communicate his ideas to the players should never have gotten the job in the first place Ancelotti - Incorrect should have been given another season, managed to recover the team from their bad moment, have to think he was released early to get AVB in AVB - correct, job was too much too soon for him, needed another season in Porto to build up his experience also needed the old guard moved on as they all knew him as a scout and you'd have to wonder if they where all happy taking orders from him.

Who will be the new manager? (merged)
Guardiola would be an interesting choice as I think his a better coach then he's given credit for. He dealt with zlatans ego, dealt with eto'o (after getting a CL winning season out of him) and dealt with ronaldinho & deco when he got the team. I'm pretty sure he also speaks English which helps and has the title winning reputation as a player and coach. The only big fault I can see is his transfer dealings haven't always been great. Whether he'd want to come though would be the real question. As for Jose coming back that would be great, but the irony will be that he'll most likely drop at least 2 of the 3 (lamps, terry, drogba) from the starting lineup if not the whole squad as I'm sure webcam all agree Jose doesn't seem like the sentimental type, also it's definately better then seeing him in an opposition dugout

Yea I'd say a draw is the best case result Say something like Arsenal winning by 3-4 goals then Spurs pulling it back so Arsenal get crushed and next week Spurs will do their usual capitulation against ManU allowing us to easily waltz into 3rd ( )
