  1. He had a semi-serious injury which disrupted his preseason, you'd imagine he'll go out on loan during the transfer window
  2. http://i.imgur.com/fjsEE8g.jpg Where's the love for our Paulo?gave it a fair crack but ended up going down 4-1 to zenit. Not a bad effort for one bloke though ;)
  3. This is when Liverpool's title bid is at its strongest. Before a ball has been kicked ;)
  4. Hahaha have they started burning their shirts yet? Or maybe they'll threaten his family since it worked on Gerrard
  5. Aren't the pool supporters always talking about how they're scouse not English? Maybe Suarez just wants to get out of scouseland ;)
  6. Anyone seen this pic doing the rounds? That's QPha's Julio Cesar at David Luiz's birthday on the left in the Chelsea shirt. Apparently his wife put the photo online and now QPHa is looking at disciplining him for it
  7. I've had a moment of inspiration lampard player-manager, sorts out both issues Obviously would never happen, but if it did....
  8. Top of my head maybe when ronaldinho first went to barca their was a pretty decent gap, not sure what it ended at thoughTo be fair though, barca is in ridiculous form in the league. 19 games played with one draw and no losses. Be interesting if they can keep it up
  9. Wow the ref actually brought his cards for the second half
  10. not happy with what's happened with the managers over the past 24 hours, but we're stuck with rafa for the next 6 months so will just try to make the best of it. tactically Benitez is (was? it's been a while) a good manager and with player transfers being out of his control it might actually work out ok I guess?
  11. My indoor team could use him, willing to offer him a coke & a pie (sauce is performance based) not sure how the boys would feel about the high pressure defense though :D Could see him going to a bayern or man city though. And with a potential man city job trying to bring one of messi/cronaldo with him
  12. I guess over the last decade they've always been a thorn in our side so that makes everyone wary. Plus now with the Torres factor and how they've fared over the last few years this is basically the biggest gane of the year for them so they're always super fired up
  13. Ol' AVB gets a little bit precious when celebrating goals "no it's my camera time get out"
  14. That was the first half stats, pretty sure they said something about barca setting a new record in the first half (good thing it's goals not possession that counts)
  15. Because sometimes things can just go badly, it's not always a sinister reason. Also carrying on so much you'd think we've never had a decision go our way either. I'm more inclined to go with swings and roundabouts rather then a high level multi-national conspiracy involving fergie, the FA and the local tea lady
  16. Yea this seems like quite the reasonable mature response..... wait a minute you're obviously a plant from the FA to try and pull the wool over our eyes! It's obvious fergie hand picks the refs, and heats up the balls for the champions league draw, it's because of manU that I never win the lotto either I've finally cracked the code and now I must find my tin hat before the satellites fry my brain (I don't think there's any real conspiracy, more likely the refs see when fergie isn't happy he applies pressure through the media or the FA and subconsciously they end up favouring him. Fergie probably does have too much clout but 20+ years in the biz will get you that)
  17. Some of the talk in here reminds me of when a player is injured and they become this mythical beast of a footballer, you'd think Torres scored messi and Ronaldo levels of goals when he was at Liverpool and now he puts his boots on backwards for us(for those playing at home it was actually a bit over a goal every other game) I think the key is for the majority of us we'd only see Torres on the highlights and they aren't really gonna show how many he misses there(well not before the transfer anyway). I will say the one part that has annoyed me lately though, it's not that he isn't scoring the one-on-ones its that for most of them his not even making a decision and they just Peter out. If he tried to round the keeper and stuffed it or missed the shot it'd be a lot more understandable Oh I will say he started off shocking for us but since Robbie's come in he has been playing well again
  18. Sturridge, Moses, lampard, azpilcueta, romeu(?), turnbull and Bertrand
  19. Fantastic stuff gem, looks absolutely brilliant
  20. Think I need new underwear after that goal wow
  21. Ok so some big news in the Australian league, first we had Del Piero signing with Sydney FC ($2mil AUD for 2 years), then the big news came through that Emile Heskey ($1mil AUD for 1 year) had signed for Newcastle Jets earlier today (Terms agreed anyway subject to a medical) and the latest rumour doing the rounds is that one of our exes is looking to make the move down under with Michael Ballack being linked to West Sydney Wanderers (A brand new expansion club for this season) for $1.6mil AUD for 1 year. Should know more about this soon but all I can say is I'm getting super excited for this season's A-league and the chance to see these guys in the flesh
  22. I'd imagine it was more about balancing the books, pretty hefty wage for a guy that wouldn't have played much. Is he going African cup this year or has he retired from Ghana?
