Instead of signing him for 30m, we could have added 12m and got a world class talent in Ozil instead who would no doubt improve our team a lot. However we signed Willian who for me won't even be a nailed on starter and barely improves us, if at all - there's no question Ozil would have strengthened us a lot more.

I'm not annoyed at Lukaku for his penalty miss, however I thought he was shocking when he came on. Got booked straight away, then didn't even close down whoever it was crossed the ball for Bayern's equalizer. He just jogged towards him with no effort whatsoever. For someone who has apparently supported this club his whole life you'd have expected a bit more passion. However there were plenty of positives to take from this, Schurrle looks like a very good player and Hazard looks like he's improved. We definitely look so much more solid in defence. Drawing with the European champions who are supposed favourites for the Champions League this year? I think we could go very far in the competition after this display.

The thing is if we really wanted another AM, and we had £30m, is Willian really the best we could do? I would much rather we have gone for Di Maria.

I don't know why referees have to take on such an air of self importance and go make game-changing decisions that don't really need to be made. If Clattenburg had just gone with what he and everyone else saw and not try to be such a smart-arse and give a foul to Torres, there would be no fuss. Instead, Mr.Clattenburg decides he wants all the attention and sends Torres off. There was no way he could have seen 100% that that was a Torres dive (because it wasn't). He should have just seen Evans with his studs up and given a foul and a yellow for that alone. I agree that referees do have a tough job, but when they try to over complicate simple decisions like today, then they have no sympathy from me.

I'm always worried about a team with Rvp in it, these guys are no mugs!
