Torres has given up. From the moment he walks on the pitch to the moment he walks off, he's just going through the motions. He's robbing the club. He has literally retired in all-but-name.
 
For that reason he will always go down as the worst player to ever represent us.
 
Remember, he refused to fight for his place, even though he came to a club which had Drogba in its ranks. So, this season, we let him have it his way, with no competition at all, just as he wished.
 
He is the most precious, self-absorbed, pathetic, mercenary, weak-willed player I have ever had the misfortunate to watch, and if we can find a club willing to take him on a free we should bite their hand off .. and then laugh at them.
 
Fernando Torres is a w**ker and a liability and the sooner he gets out of Chelsea the sooner Chelsea can begin to move forward.

It's got to the point where Torres' performances hold some sort of morbid fascination for me.

I don't even think he was happy when Oscar scored.
 
I hold this player in contempt and I want him out almost as badly as I want the FSW out.

The reason he's such an easy target for tabloids is because he's playing like sh*t. That, combined with the biggest transfer in British football history on top of massive wages turns Torres into a daily scapegoat. But make no mistake, it's his doing.
 
Somehow nobody talks about Ronaldo's fee. You know why? Because he's been a success since the day he arrived in Madrid.

Totally agree with this. Unfortunately Torres now knows he is mortal, and that feeling of indomitability has gone. Once it goes it goes I'm afraid.
 
On to tonight, if anyone doubts that Torres is totally indulged at this club, he got 80 minutes. 80 minutes. Ba got 2 goals on his debut on Saturday, and he got 10 minutes, and in that 10 minutes, suddenly, we were playing with a centre-forward.
 
With Torres on the field, we were playing with 10 men.
 
Pathetic performance, as ever, and pathetic management. Unbelievable. It totally defies belief.

It would have been worth it, just to have that face-to-face chat ..

Even when Drogba wasn't scoring he contributed to the team most games in terms of linking up play, holding the ball up, creating space for team mates and keeping defenders busy.
 
The last two games I've noticed Torres actually gets in the way, running towards Oscar who is dribbling at a defender instead of running into space and giving the defender something to think about. Its actually looked like schoolboy stuff where the kid is attracted to the ball and f**ks everything up

I've made that point in this thread, I don't go into a character assassination about Torres here, just my personal opinion which has not changed since the Swansea game last season. If Torres was not played 90 minutes every game; if our board didn't push out virtually every other striker we had out of the club; if his performances justified his demands this thread would not be 100+ pages. 
 
Fact is that I've seen members of this board lay into other players, but no one has quite the amount of defense to pathetic performances the way Torres has amassed a cult following. When everyone though Bosingwa went to crap after his injury - we had an agreement, there was no need to justify why he wasn't good enough for a first choice right back at the club. Yet Jose's contribution to the club is either level or slightly above what Torres has done with us. Yet no one went 100+ pages accusing posters of being disingenuous of their critic of Jose, how our wingers were sh*te at defending leaving him exposed and how Terry is too slow that leads to Jose exposed or how Mikel is too immobile or Jose's crossing is actually good but the rest of the players don't want to run onto his passes because they dislike playing with him; or how he is intimidated byBrana's presence in the team and we should let go of Brana to make him feel confident etc etc etc
