BarryBridges - "Since '83" says it all, my mate from the Great White North. "I wasn't in Rwanda and I still know genocide is wrong" should have been the title of the thread. Eggy - Nice contribution, martial arts require that you don't seek out trouble Wicksy - I'll pass on the "embrace", but we're brothers in Blue and may have a quarrel. The idea of travelling en masse to another town to physically answer another set of fan's hatred is criminal at its core. I suppose these young men know they might end up in the slammer, but don't fully consider the collateral damage they might cause, and can't repair.

Wolves vs Chelsea (Prem) 20/02/10 1500 KO
It wasn't great to watch, but I was happy to see: 1.) how Ivanovic would do at CB - to me he played both there and his regular position (nod to BlueBeard), and did superbly. 2.) Z and F filling in in back - not so much. I think Z is a midfielder or striker 3.) Ballack and Cole forced to assume some midfield leadership - let's just say we need either Lamps or Essien on the field. Good thing our opponent was less than stellar 4.) More GoldenBoot play to keep it from Rooney 5.) Road win And the best part - pulling away from MU

Can't disagree with any of that, Moi. Merci beaucoup. I asked you directly because you are quite smart and put up impressive stuff around here. I'm mostly puzzled by vulgarity and insults thrown at someone for saying something offensive, not the chastisement itself.

Moi et al I do believe you meant what you responded to Barry, don't doubt it at all. I said that "I actually meant" the last bit that Beard quoted, and which he found insincere. Not that any of you didn't mean your own words. Wasn't being sarcastic, I have much respect because this forum is very cool. But Beard is weird. And nobody answered my reasoned question (insulting an individual vs. a group), so I learned nada.

My contribution was only 1 day and 14 posts after the remark in question. which suggests to me that the dust hadn't completely settled. I do understand a desire to let this die off. But look at Fox News, where four analysts discuss a topic and all four present the same viewpoint, then go to commercial. What I said reflected a contrasting view and proposed a legitimate question, which seemed worthwhile. To me anyway. That said, this is a great forum and hats off to the leadership.

The avatar man with four sticks had to go inside due to weather. Barry, I kinda like your style on this board and all, but you might want to rethink how apologies work. For sincerity, I recommend the Python-style "I apologize most unreservedly" technique, with no qualifiers. Otherwise you're standing behind the words that got everyone riled up. I've been accused here of riding a moral high horse (even though it's really a spotted pony), but I can't get too worked up over a tossed off simile. We see c**t and tw*t and all manner of insult deployed here, and nobody seems bothered. Does that mean an individual may be offended, but not a group? It's a blurry line for sure...

Sorry, EPL. Premiership. But don't avoid the question...- 1 to 4
No asterisk here, BB Vancouver! Since every side plays home and away with every other, the balance and fairness will remain. What's odd is the fact that some teams are greatly affected while others are not, because it's occuring midseason. But in the end, all sides will have 36 matches against the same 36 opponents. By the way, should I expect this level of drama every BPL season? :)- Transfers - summer 2010
I trust Ivanovich or Alex anywhere in the back. More good stuff from Barry.- Everton vs Chelsea (Prem) 10/02/10 2000 KO
