Did anyone see or hear about this yesterday?

Apparently he said that Capello would need to be very careful who he gives the arm band to if he decides to strip it from Terry, as he knows of at least 3 players in the starting 11 who have injunctions taken out on newspapers.

I expect the other 6 are now in the process of issuing them now as well.

Frankly none of them are suitable, if the tabloids want a squeaky clean "role model". Gerrard, who was recently caught fighting in a night club? Ferdinand, who has numerous convictions for motoring offences, and missed a drugs test? Rooney, with his history and temperament? Ashley Cole? Who else is there?

Joe Cole - nothing on him I can recall - but he'd better start playing consistently well to even make the team at the moment.

All jokes aside, what the fack is going on right now?

I have seen and read wild speculation on other forums, saying Screws of the World reporters are on SSN pimping the sunday rags for massive revelations. Hundreds of people asking to be PM'd on the details of everything from sexual deviancy to match fixing.

Are these papers really going to turn the lives of half the england squad into a PR living hell 4 months before the world cup? I get the impression from looking around the web that this thing is reaching tipping point, and not just for JT. Maybe its just their hype stirring the pot when theres nothing in it.

So when will the English are finally realising the proper scandal then- that their courts have granted the power to the media overturn injunctions based on a human right to privacy.

Remember Justice Tugendhat's decision was rationalised by saying that because some people in football circles knew about Terry's affair, it justified the information becoming public knowledge.

Doesn't anyone feel the slightest bit afraid by that kind of logic?
