  1. FM as well, plus some love for Frank and Didier near the top...
  2. Wow - just what we needed, with a bonus (GD). Can't say we missed Anelka. Good job Carlo, hope it wakes his derriere. And our mids played well for a change. That dance seemed like a waltz to me too, and how funny that the ball was played to Drogba 5 seconds after they finished, leading to a foul by Hreidersson! Can't say I've seen that before. I'm amazed at what great fans Pompey has.
  3. Easily half the folks in the theater didn't stay til the end. At least all three of us at Texas CM stuck it out to the end. That's why The Exorcist is #1 for me. At the risk of being repetitive, it's also the scariest book I've read. Might have actually damaged me a little...
  4. To robx1970, yes The Shining is a great movie to see - and the Stephen King book, as well. The Omen almost cracked my top 5. The nanny hanging scene was certainly on of the scariest jolts ever, for me. Alien had that frightful claustrophobic mood all the way through. The Thing (remake by John Carpenter) was one of the sickest films visually, very graphic and excellent. All very scary. I'll add another to the mix: Nightmare on Elm Street - Freddy literally gave me a nightmare!
  5. I saw this scary movie callled "The Orphanage" recently, and I wonder what is the best horror movie? Not exactly the best movie, but scariest? My Top 5: The Exorcist - Catholics say that evil resides on the celluloid Texas Chainsaw Massacre - Had to sit in a theater alone for this because none of my friends wanted any part. Jaws - film that changed the way people live, and Biology Silence of the Lambs - 2 of the best villains ever in 1 movie The Shining - Descent into madness makes this a true story Hon Mention: Fatal Attraction - also real to life, don't cheat...
  6. Goal for the good guys...
  7. Some supporter you are, spinning trade rumors 20x a day.
  8. I would like to have Gerrard and Torres on the team, and acquiring them should be no problem. Bring in Kuyt and Reina too, and maybe a splash of red for our home kits! This thread is awesome, and "Alf" was my favorite show of the 80's...
  9. Using your figures, the chance of getting one but not the other is 65%. The chance of getting both is 50% x 80% = 40%. The chance of getting neither is 50% x 20% = 10%.
  10. That's some desperation, I'd like to keep at least half of those guys. Yer funny, sd4...
  11. Seriously, our midfield sucks. Hurry back, Bison...
  12. Afraid I'm on the "sack Carlo" bandwagon. Too much loyalty to guys in bad form, not enough faith in the reserves. I haven't seen any tactical flair from him all season. He doesn't seem to want the officials to be bothered by his views. His demeanor on gameday shows almost no leadership, so he may as well sit upstairs like Sam Allardyce. That stoic hangdog act doesn't benefit the team. If the last several matches couldn't stir him up, what would it take?
  13. Wish I could climb throught the internet to your rat nest and smash your keyboard, you ass sniffer...
  14. Didier Drogba, for the obvious reason. Kalou a distant second. So many poor performances today...
  15. In about 11 hrs we're taking back the top of the table. Turnbull Ivan, Alex, JT, Zhirkov Mikel, FM, Lamps, MB DD and Anelka Sub Sturridge, Kalou and JC Same as the Inter game...
  16. Dude, are you his friend or family? If not, then that was a load of speculation...
  17. Jaws changed modern culture. I lived in a beach community in 1975, and after that movie almost nobody wanted to go in the water. The book was even better...
  18. I can't go there, my friend. We're 3 back of Arse with 2 games in hand, 2 back of ManUre with 1 game in hand. I think the PL is ours, and I refuse to consider alternatives...
  19. BTW, dropping 3 points @ Citeh was for me the worst moment of this season...
  20. Fulham was down 3-1 from the first leg, so Dempsey's goal put them up 5-4 on aggregate. Hooray for the guys down the street! And I would like to express my regret for suggesting that English trainers were unsuitable for mending a June 12th opponent. ;)
  21. That's why you're Ice Cool. Some much negativity here over a non-league loss. We have 3 of our 5 starters out on Defense and still look good there. The front 6 are pretty F'd up despite missing only the Bison. Up and down play from everyone and no imagination or crossing (exc. Malouda). I'm thinking the problem is below Roman and above the roster.
  22. But it seems they both registered yesterday, both from Andorra, with similar names, style and viewpoints.
  23. Sad news, indeed. He was a pioneer of blue-eyed soul. Also, owner of the best album title of all time imo
  24. Welcome aboard, Wisdom!
