How did L Essien spell VdV correctly and incorrectly in the same title? He may be gone, but he lives on in this thread...

Chelsea vs Stoke (Prem) 25/04/10 1600 KO
I like that line-up very much, Alex. Hope Carlo has Drogba sit the 1st half. Watching him walk off with a groin problem (and no subs) was a complication that almost gave me complications. I can only imagine how the Ivoirians feel. He's a great boost late in the match, along with his homeboy Kalou. Now we've got ourselves a real must-win...

How did your day play out, Barak? Aside from the Spudknocking, that is.

Jamaican juice will get you every time, should have stuck to whisky. Barak81, hope your big day works out. And all too.

Sarcastic, with broad generalization. Supportive, but vague and thus unhelpful.

Can't speak for Yanks in general, but that says it all, for me.

Whoever else has a shot at the tickets might not consider their chances at 1%, so you need a backup plan. I have this happen all the time, and I generally record important games, CFC and FSU. That may not be an option, but I still wouldn't let down my boys.

Horror flicks
Yeah Stride, the fact that it messed you up at 14 and stays with you qualifies that for inclusion. I admired the wierdness of Russell's movies. How about Lisztomania! I was pretty scared by Uncle Ernie (but miss Keith Moon).

Why not get your team a clean sheet, take some teammates, get supplies, and watch the match with your Dad?

Horror flicks
Just saw "The Wolfman" with Benicio Del Toro and Sir Anthony Hopkins. Seems to have gotten some bad reviews, but fark the critics. This movie was excellent in its tribute to the original. and Del Toro even resembles Lon Chaney Jr a bit! I found it quite scary, and the cornerstone of werewolf movies, the transformation, didn't disappoint. Since the setting included 1891 London, I imagine most of the folks killed by the Wolfman were probably Gooners. Which means this could be considered a comedy.

Is Sam Hutchinson still playing for Chelsea?
The likes of Alex? That's a great defender you're talking about. If Sam can't stay healthy, this may not be the game for him...

Following our nearest and dearest rivals
A few snippets from timesonline: "IF Martin Broughton had any doubts about the size of the shoes he was stepping into at British Airways, he found out last Tuesday. The death of Lord King, former chairman and architect of the airline’s privatisation, made the main evening news on television." "By contrast, Fulham-born Broughton, lean and tousled, has a wry sense of humour and laid-back manner. He couldn’t seem more different from what’s gone before." "They also sit together (his brother is retired from insurance) as Chelsea season-ticket holders at Stamford Bridge. Like Marshall, Broughton is an avid football fan. He even equates the role of chairman with that of referee." VITAL STATISTICS Born: April 15, 1947 Marital status: married, two children School: Westminster City Grammar Favourite book: Our Man In Havana, by Graham Greene Favourite music: Rod Stewart Interests: horseracing, Chelsea FC, golf
