loz Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 No excuses for anything other than 3 points away at Wolves with the slight hope that Everton can sneak a draw against Utd.
The Moos Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 We can't fail to get three points from this one. We just can't!
ozboy Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 And what is the key to success here? My feeling is that at the moment we should keep playing Mikel because he has more energy than the other midfielders and hope that he can get the attack started. According to Physioroom Essien and Boswinga are due back over the next couple of weeks and perhaps bossy can even be on the bench this week. upfront it will be drogs and anelka, zhirkov at left back and i guess malouda, ballack and lamps. Unless you want to play one of the youngsters the team pretty much picks itself now. Maybe alex instead of riccy.
rahul Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 No excuse for not getting all three points here. We have to play them as if we're playing one of the big sides - no slacking, no complacency, a thoroughly professional performance is what is required. I want to see Alex start instead of Carvalho. Mikel has been pretty good ever since he came back from ACN so he must be a shoe in. Malouda, Lamps and Ballack the other midfielders.
clubhappy Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Im getting to the stage where going a goal up worries me and unless were 3 up then i can only feel comfortable and away from home frightens me even more. We need more desire and unless we can start to put it up to teams and show our class then im afraid were not going to win too much.
Ruh Buh Juh Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 with the slight hope that Everton can sneak a draw against Utd. I'll put money on Manure winning that one, Everton roll over against them year in, year out. As for Chelsea? We should win it, but god knows what'll happen.
bluevale2 Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Of course we will win, but what are the chances of that tw*t Saha scoring a brace against his old club? More chance of me winning the luge event!
german-blue Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Not 100% sure about this match. Considering our current away-form I have very little confidence about us doing well. You can just hope that our players are going to play with heart and fresh legs this time.
icecoolguy22 Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 This is a must win, no excuse what so ever. I expect Ballack to be rested for this one, don't think he has the legs to play 2 games in 4-5 days.
german-blue Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 my line-up would be: -------------------------cech------------------------------ -------ivan--------carvahlo--JT--------------zhirkov---- ----------belletti/deco-mikel-lampard------------------- -----------------anelka-----malouda-------------------- -----------------------drogba----------------------------- Subs: Hilario, Alex, PF, Matic, Joe, Sturridge, Kalou
kalpitv Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Just got a text stating Lamps is out of tomorrow's game (from the official Chelsea twitter). On checking the official site I learnt that he is one of the seven absentees which include Alex, Belletti, Deco, Boss, Ashley and Essien. Not really the news I wanted to hear. Though Frankie should be back for the Inter game.
Tim Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Hmm not great news at all. guess that means Joe will probably get another chance to impress.
geezer Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Alex tweaked his knee in training yesterday and requires a scan which doesn't sound too clever. Hopefully he'll be okay. Frank has a virus but should be fine for the Inter game. At least JT is back and raring to go
bjd Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Hmm not great news at all. guess that means Joe will probably get another chance to impress. lets hope so. With all these injuries the team pretty much picks itself cec Ivan jt Percy zhirkov mikel ballack cole malouda droga anelka I guess he might rest one of the strikers and bring in super kalou ahead of Wednesday but , well, lets hope he doesn't. Hope some of these injuries clear up before Wednesday too. We've still got a strong starting eleven but the bench looks a bit untested for a big European game. Be nice to have a few options if things are not going to plan.
toffee Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 If we play to the same tempo and passion as against you the other week ..looks like Piennar is going to sign a new contract and this will give us a boost..we will beat man ure....good luck against Wolves

Barry Bridges Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 NO LAMPS OR ALEX :P Still, no excuse for not getting 3 points! Shame Cahill is out vs Manure :(
Ruh Buh Juh Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Shame Cahill is out vs Manure :P And Fellaini! Just their luck.
german-blue Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 NO LAMPS OR ALEX :PStill, no excuse for not getting 3 points! Shame Cahill is out vs Manure :( Im not worried about us not having Lamps or Alex. The only thing that we have to do is playing with heart and passion. We just have to give 100% and fight for every ball. Excuses like: "they fought very hard" are just not acceptable anymore for our away-games.
Gem Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 3 points is th only acceptable outcome. Come on Everton, don't do your usual rolling over and sneak something
sals Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 (edited) I have faith that everton at goodison will result in mancs dropping points so hopefully we will soon have either a 3 point or 4 point gap. Wolves will be no trouble. As Gem said above anything else is truly unacceptable. This is a average team we are playing and we need to steamroll them. ----Cech --Ivan--Alex--JT--Yuri ------Mikel ----lamps--malouda -------joey ----dids--nico Edited February 20, 2010 by sals
Ruh Buh Juh Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Good fact: If Nico scores today, he will have scored at every current Premier League stadium!
Alex Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 few streams today http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=...amp;part=sports the FSC one usually works well and in english
