My feeling is that at the moment we should keep playing Mikel because he has more energy than the other midfielders and hope that he can get the attack started. According to Physioroom Essien and Boswinga are due back over the next couple of weeks and perhaps bossy can even be on the bench this week. upfront it will be drogs and anelka, zhirkov at left back and i guess malouda, ballack and lamps. We have to play them as if we're playing one of the big sides - no slacking, no complacency, a thoroughly professional performance is what is required. I want to see Alex start instead of Carvalho. On checking the official site I learnt that he is one of the seven absentees which include Alex, Belletti, Deco, Boss, Ashley and Essien. Not really the news I wanted to hear. Hope some of these injuries clear up before Wednesday too. We've still got a strong starting eleven but the bench looks a bit untested for a big European game. We just have to give 100% and fight for every ball. Excuses like: "they fought very hard" are just not acceptable anymore for our away-games.
