If When our players down tools, and fall out with proven winner managers, just how do we expect them not to fall out / lose respect / stop playing for a manager who hasn't won anything - they instinctively wont respect him as much. The fact is they have the most expensive squad ever assembled and they are playing crap football. The only way fans will put up with that is if there is lots of silverware. He's always won the league in his second season generally, now that has stopped. His usual third season syndrome could be coming next season as well...

On a serious note, I think he has some mental issues, something is blocking his clarity and wrecking his mojo. He's appears to be going through the motions like he did with us. I am not sure if he is still living in that same hotel room on his own all week. He is living proof that huge fortunes don't always make you happier, he looks utterly miserable. Genuinely think he has some form of depression etc, which is a bit sad. He used to be full of craic as we say in Ireland. Something has changed. He's a stubborn git either way, and a terrible loser, just like Ferguson. Their teams were always robbed by a referee, a player, or they played better when they lose... I am so glad we have moved on.

I think we are one of the few clubs that are complacent just after winning "Ah sure we have enough, they can do it again without any changes" City and others will have looked at our two failings post winning the league, and know that you have to keep the team fresh and hungry with one or two signings each season. I know if I was a rival coach or board member, I would be stressing this point a lot and would be saying "look at chelsea!"
