Manchester United vs. Chelsea - FA Cup Final
Mod, it's what I touched on in my fergie subject...utd have been totally graceless over their defeat and yet somehow their whinging doesn't get any criticism...can you imagine what abuse chelsea (jose) would be getting if the boot was on the other foot? we know the media is biased of course...listening to garth crooks' interview with giggs revealed it in all it's glory...his first question was...ryan, you were robbed weren't you? next: You should have won it shouldn't you? You were the better side? etc etc

pundits
just in case anyone is interested or cares what the so-called experts say, here's a collection from the beeb...laughable how they're basically blaming chelsea for the fact it wasn't a great game...it was our dull footy, cos utd are never dull ...to be honest i thought utd sat back for long periods in hope of hitting us on the counter and had their best spell in extra time when we were knackered http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 673277.stm

Parade

Mancs - Something Wrong?
is it too late for player of the year award to have a recount? does ronaldo really do it in big games against big teams? drogba 33 gls (no pens), winning gls in two cup finals...ronaldo's first gls for utd in champs league came against roma this season...but he was back to usual self against AC milan in san siro...can't remember him doing anything against us since he arrived...drogba takes them all on...poor, average and best sides

Manchester United vs. Chelsea - FA Cup Final
goal? no chance..cech got ball a yard off his line...giggs slides into him and knocks him over the line...yes ball went over but it was a foul...if that had counted it would have been up there with liverscum's in champs league semi final two years ago

Did somone say player ratings?
right i'm going to do my ratings as I found Qaz's off the mark..but most get good ratings for defensive reasons Cech 8 made some major crucial saves/tackles (on rooney) Ferreria 8 the so-called player of the year was in his pocket Essien 7 not his best game at centre half today...got caught out a few times positionally and could have conceded pen Terry 8 best performance from the captain since return from injury Bridge 8 best left back proved it once again...very good down left flank Maka 7 solid Mikel 8 faded late on as injury from last week started to bite, but looked class in second half Lamps 7 should almost get a 10 for that pass alone, but didn't create much else Joe Cole 7 amazed when he got subbed at half-time...i thought he had to be injured, but no! SWP 7 played a big role in helping paulo mark ronaldo Drogba 8 higher mark cos of the goal, but struggled for long periods cos he was too isolated. subs Robben 6 looked dangerous at first then he got injured (again ) and then he faded Kalou 7 ran well with the ball as we tired A Cole 6 just helped keep left side solid

fergie - graceless? heaven forbid!
two weeks ago Jose doesn't come out and say utd deserved to win title..he says they ' just got more points' but still said 'congrats to everyone at utd'...but he gets slammed for sour grapes, graceless etc...fergie doesn't congratulate us at all today and then has a dig at jose saying his whining about refs meant his side were robbed of pen...outrageous...but what made me spit out my curry that the nice man delivered to my house tonight was that it cut back to keys and clan in the studio and keys says: "he doesn't like losing but he's a gracious loser' to which they all nod in agreement...utter bollox...still fu*k it...we won the cup!

BBC vs. Sky
pub i watched it on used beeb and i thought motty and lawrenson were a disgrace...they were slagging the game off within 10 minutes and were negatove throughout

Carvalho the first to extend his contract
just to confirm it's on official website. http://www.chelseafc.com/page/NewsHomeP ... 56,00.html also I think this gives a strong indication that jose is staying whatever happens tomorrow...i think carvalho would go if jose was going anywhere

Essien player of the year
I forgot that Cech was given a special bravery award or something like that to recognise his amazing recovery from a fractured skull...I think chelsea tv earlier said he only played 20 league games this season...I knew he was out for a while, but to miss 18 league games? we lost the league by six points, you just know his performances alone would have prevented that gap
-
Essien player of the year
thoroughly deserved...it was my vote despite drogba being awesome as well...but essien played in so many positions and so well too...other awards: Drogba: players player of the year Mikel: young player of the year Sahar: Youth product player of the year

Better without Drogba?
Just, hope I don't come across as criticising drogba, like you say it's not his fault...he's just been too good at what he does! Your wish list for a second striker? sounds a bit like tevez to me...berbatov may not have the pace, but he'd definitely get the team playing football, but by the sounds of it we may not have that kind of money to spend this summer to get them
-
Better without Drogba?
Wait... when things are great, Jose Mourinho meticulously plans every move of the game and our players loyally carry out his every instruction to the letter, resulting in domination and total tactical perfection. When things aren't right it means the players have deviated from the plan which would have worked had it been stuck to, and they should be executed but because the exalted one is magnanimous and benevolent they are spared their lives. Right? a ridiculous overreaction to my post don't you think?...I have never said Jose can do no wrong, he can make mistakes too, but the players are the ones on the pitch and should certainly know when it's time to pass it around or knock it long to drogba...they're not robots controlled by one man

Salomon Kalou, the rising star of Chelsea
haven't watched the clip...the guy needs to sort his left foot out...he should have done better with 'that' chance against the arse, but went with his right rather than left foot...then he was guilty of one of the misses of the season on sunday when he slid in and tried to put ferreiria's cross in with his right rather than left foot and he missed an open goal from six yards...he's raw and needs to work on his game this summer, still overall a promising season
-
Better without Drogba?
I accept that Jose obviously sees hitting drogba as part of his tactics, but the last couple of months saw a dramtic increase in the long ball...drogba worked well against liverpool first leg but second leg they went overboard on it after all the hype about his domination of Agger...it's too easy to blame jose...players can see if something is or isn't working and I still think they went for the easy route of a long ball to drogba too many times rather than looking for the pass
-
Better without Drogba?
we did play better passing footy against the arse than we have in recent weeks, but i think it's the fault of the players, who got rather lazy/overreliant on Drogba doing all the work up front...his success against defenders actually made us a worse team as more and more long balls got hit to him...problem is against the arse, while our footy was better, our goal-threat was worse as kalou is still very raw and doesn't have the same threat...play a similar agme with drogba in the side and we would be a much bigger threat.

Jacqui Oatley on Match of The Day
just seen pool v charlton on motd, the first time i've heard this bint and she was shocking...whether you think a woman commentating is right isn't the point as far as she's concerned...she's just crap...just hasn't got the tone right at all, it sounds like those dodgy end of season review videos you used to get where the guy was clearly watching the action after the event and having to generate some excitement...she failed abysmally and just sounded like she was reading a script with as much passion as a steve mcclaren interview...talk about positive discrimination

Injuries for cup final ?
another player injured! it's pi**ed me off last few days how people have dismissed our injuries this season in terms of the title race...everyone gets injuries they say, it evens itself out...bollox...united had about five and none were long-term, they were three weeks-six weeks...we've basically had every player injured in the squad this season ranging from one week to seven months out...terrible bad luck
-
Well done Didier!
the pens issue is something people forget about...ronaldo must have got at least six of his from the spot making his toll not so impressive...i'm not sure if benni mccarthy, didier's possible partner next season, takes pens or not...he has had a top season too
