  1. nothing wrong with staying optimistic, but when you see things go the way they have for utd and against us for most of this season then the writing is on the wall...sure they have played better footy but they have had a lot of luck too...today's game they were flat and then everton keeper drops a simple cross to get them back in it and then a former untied played scores an own goal...like the scousers in the champions league two years ago, there has been a feeling of their name is on the trophy...sure we can mathmatically still do it, but utd's belief will be as strong as ever now and I can't see them losing two of the last three...time to focus our energies on the champs league ourselves
  2. nonsense...jose has won us more games than lost...no other team would have challenged for the title with all the problems we've had this season and why we have fallen short has come down to a number of factors, but in the end utd were the better team...i'm surprised people are sayinmg sheva was playing well, i thought he was ineffective...jose's subs didn't lose it, terrible marking from a set piece did...jose and chelsea will be stronger and better next season, before then he could lead us to 2 more trophies...if you're a chelsea fan, i suspect that considering this is your first post, then you need a reality check...get a grip
  3. my worst fear is that utd could either secure it before our game against them so we have to applaud them on/guard of honour or they clinch title on our turf...that will be sickening...I wonder if all those fans who got a ticket will think of selling them now?
  4. jose wasn't to blame, terrible defending against the obvious bolton set pieces were..even then we had 30mins plus to find a winner, but we lacked the final ball./..it was as if utd's comeback sucked the belief out of the players and they never looked like doing it...key moment was carvalho's injury for sure as it made our defence even weaker for the second set piece goal...still we shouldn't turn on anyone, we will be back stronger and better next season...we can't win it every year, it just shows how impressive out last two championships were.
  5. We made mistakes in the transfer market, carried too many players, didn't have much luck with injuries, penalty decisions or hitting the woodwork....but I hate to say it utd deserve the league...we fought like champions but utd played the better football overall and combined it with our knack of late goals and comebacks...but don't despair...we will be back stronger than ever next season and will have learned a few lessons...plus I expect many more signings and the shipping out of some dead wood...on top of that we can still have the last laugh on utd...we must beat the scouse first and then fingers crossed, touch wood, we can celebrate more glory next month
  6. the hilarious thing is fergie has said the same kind of things all his life and yet it's our man getting all the heat...fergie's comments today are just as bad as jose's but it will still be written from an anti-chelsea angle. He wants jose to get punished by the football authorities and claims that if utd have a pen given against them between now and the end of the season then jose has won the war!...that's putting pressure on refs as well..a penalty's a penalty...jose was not asking the refs to award phantom pens, just the right decision when a utd player decapitates an opponent in the area. as for jose attention seeking by throwing medal in the stand a couple of years ago, i didn't see anything wrong with it...some may question his motives, but I thought it was a great gesture and two lucky fans got a memento to treasure all their lives...I didn't have a problem with it
  7. I admitted that he had a top game the other night, but there is still a part of me not 100 per cent convinced...to be fair I have always loved the way he breaks forward from the back, i swear he's a frustrated striker or something, but like when he lost morientes in valencia, he has moments where he switches off...that's not to say he hasn't had a good season...it's all relative and i've judged him by our very own high standards
  8. we may not like it, but when will people realise that jose does this on purpose to take the heat off his players? He's done it since the day he arrived and the press and some of you still fall for it hook line and sinker...i'm not saying it helps chelsea's image or popularity, but it's what jose does...I laugh when I read that jose is supposedly cracking up or losing it...if that's the case he lost it a long time ago! Besides I think every chelsea fan should be pi**ed off that two blatant pens weren't given against utd...the refs bottled it and jose is right to question why...not sure about the strength of our claim at newcastle though!
  9. never knew some players had such talents...what a save by drogba and the a great run from the back!
  10. I have a ticket in the west stand upper for sale at ?60.00 (face value) plus the ?1.50 booking fee if anyone is interested. replay asap
  11. I have a ticket in the west stand upper for sale at ?60.00 (face value) plus the ?1.50 booking fee if you or anyone is interested. replay asap
  12. obviously there are exceptions, but i wonder if people in the west and east stands are human...I certainly feel sorry for their wives/husbands - shagging them must be a muted affair!
  13. carragher was going around accusing people of diving and having a right moan at the ref all night...mr class and dignity was trying to get our guys booked...I had to laugh when he accused swp of diving after he'd just been clattered...carragher should have got a yellow if anyone
  14. i thought the subject was going to be about jose!
  15. I was so disappointed in sheva and felt he should have been subbed much earlier...having gone through a positive run of form he seems to have gone back to the way he was...heavy legged, clumsy, tripping over the ball...to be honest it felt like we were playing with 10 men while he was on the pitch...as for paulo, he was definitely better, but he still had some dodgy moments where he appeared to switch off.. I would also like to praise carvalho...i know i haven't in the past 100 per cent, but even just will have to say carvalho was tops tonight and played superbly for the goal...also cech's save has to go down as one of the best this season...i thought it was in all the way and then his hand somehow got there to not only stop it but tip it round the post...he made a mistake for the tevez goal last week, but he more than made up for it tonight, not that I had any ill feeling toward him
  16. swings and roundabouts loz...yes we defintely could have played better second half, but that away goal is so deadly and if we'd conceded the whole tie would have turned...now pool have to come at us for a change and we can play counter knowing one away goal should wrap things up
  17. i'm a sucker for punishment loz...still hoping one day i tune in and hear us being praised...maybe that will happen when we're back in sixth and out the cups!
  18. like pool fans say rafa has jose's number, is tactically superior and is best coach in europe
  19. Their all so desperate for them to win Champions league again, it increases me to vomit! now he is slagging off our lack of atmosphere at sb...claiming it was all manufactured before the game and there was little noice during...that next week it will be different story etc real fans at liverpool and man u...i thought chelsea fans did pretty well tonight
  20. the whole thing was covered from a liverpool angle...now greeny on 606 is saying drogba's a cheat
  21. a bit embarassing him bleating about the penalty we should have had...it was handball, but he was clearly outside the box looking at the replay
  22. great result ruined by making the mistake of listening to sky sports pundits...souness has talked so much crap tonight...saying pressure is getting to Jose , that fergie has got to him, chelsea aren't very good at chasing games...err, hasn't he studied some of our recent games, Porto, Valencia, Tottenham and talking us down basically
  23. I didn't watch it either cos it was on itv and didn't want to listen to that prat tossing off every time utd did anything...i'm sure he thinks van der sar has the best pair of gloves in the business, utd have the best ball boys etc if he had his way, utd would have had all 11 players in the pfa team of the year...I listened to it on radio five and it sounded to me like milan lost control when maldini and gattuso went off...also having seen the goals and listened to the game, it sounded like dida was a bit dodgy.. i share the fears over the second leg...extra special night at anfield, the kop, five times, you'll never walk alone ...we'll barely get a mention...it's why i met the news about the itv deal involving england and the fa cup with such dismay
