MICKY GREENAWAY BRING YOUR GHOST TO ANFIELD.

The scoucers sang, even the MHL should be ashamed.

Star,I didn't go last night cos....

.... didn't get my ticket in the three day period I was given.

I knew the atmosphere wouldn't be great last night..... cos of the style of the game.

Its a shocker who manages to pick up tickets in the West and East Stands!

I done 32 games so far this season and honestly.....

.....we have had some really fantastic atmosphere home and away this season, better than last year's.

Sorry to hear that your ashamed mate!

I too have walked away from games (at home),with a sore throat and wondered what some of them had come for!!

I had no option than to watch the game in a Kent boozer packed full of plastic scousers (all the pubs were full of them)..........

Usually Star........ I hate not going to the game so much.........I don't enjoy being in the pub!!

But we had a real buzz down there....

.....We gave the Kentish Reds

"You only live round the corner!!"

"Were f**king closer to Paris"

Tried for ticket to the away leg this morning but no chance mate!!

Come on you blues!!!

Don't be ashamed to support the club. Don't even be ashamed of the tourists; they're an unavoidable evil that comes hand in hand with success - laugh at them, pity them, take the almighty bleedin' piss out of them. Where were they when we were .... not quite the force we are today? The same place they'll be if those days should ever return. Sod 'em.

Spot on Lofty! I would never ever expect to hear any one say they are embarrassed to be a Chelsea fan, we are and have always been a great club with great tradition, a proud history and a long list of truly great players who have pulled on the blue shirt over the past 102 years.

Tourists are perfectly entitled to go and watch a game of football just the same as any one of us would do whilst on holiday, I recently visited the USA, and went to watch a game of basketball, it was a good night out (even though I didn't have a bloody clue what was going on) and I was sat amongst several other "tourists" but I doubt that the fans of either side felt the need to be embarrassed of their team because of our presence.

Never ever be embarrassed or ashamed to be a Chelsea fan (unless you have genuine reason to be) on the contrary, be proud, God has smiled on you and although at times we all get peed off with them, overall there is no finer club or team to swear your allegiance to, bar none.

I was in my usual seat in the west lower and I would say that it was a lot more vocal there than normal. I don't have much voice left at all today.

I do agree that there are a lot of people there without a true Chelsea allegience. My parents were away and there seats were taken by a russian couple who looked like they were going on to the theatre afterwards

Overall I thought the atmosphere was good last night.

Just a thought, You lot had been promising an incredible atmosphere, better than the 'special' kop anyway, all this bravado, you gave reasons why the atmosphere was sh*te last time, and now that the same has happened again it is the same stroy of excuses. This was a European Cup semi final, against a team who you 'owe revenge' and the atmopshere is flat again. It really is unbeleivable.

I know think you will progress to the final, but i know that our fans will do everything we can to help our team stop that from happening.

I think it mostly has somethign to do with it not being a knockout match. Second leg at home, hmm, when was the last time we had that? Oh yes, I think it was against Barca in 2005, and I can assure that night matched anything at Anfield.

The atmosphere wasn't at all flat. I can't make the comparison with Anfield because I haven't been there for a big match. I have been to matches at the bridge where the atmosphere was better - the FA Cup match against Spurs springs to mind as does the win against Barca a couple of years ago - but as has been mentioned those games where much more exciting in footballing terms and they were sudden death.

On wednesday there was plenty of support from around the ground but at the end I felt satisfaction in a job well done, but not elation because we are only half way there.

If we had played at Anfield and the 2nd leg had been at the Bridge then I think the excitement would have been greater.

Anyway, let's wait and see how good the atmosphere is at Anfield if you are losing 1-0 with 30 mins to go icon_razz.gif

Whilst we are on the topic of atmosphere and crowds can anybody find any reference anywhere to there being an enquiry into the bottles thrown at Mikel whilst he was injured - seems like it never happened however unless a man crept into my house and threw bottles across my TV set I am damn sure I saw it!

Also unconfirmed reports of Liverpool fans (admittedly a small minority) singing derogatory chants about Alan Ball on top of the usual ones about Matthew Harding and Munich - anyone hear these at the game as I admit I could not hear them on the TV.

Okay the atmosphere was not that bad !! come on, I have seen and heard a lot worse, and I have witnessed first hand how quite the oh so mighty Anfield can be at times ! .. I was in my normal MHU seat at it was pretty good !

Coming out to the liquidator... I know not everyones favorite but Blue is the Colour was good. and there were not many quite moments.

Although I would say that I was in my regular season ticket seat and did not recongnise one person around me ... they must have flogged their ticket for some crazy amount of money I am sure

One funny incident btw, a group of scousers some how got into the MHU and they got the hump after the goal.. soon ejected by the stewards...the abuse was funny !.. to be fair they were brave :-)

Whats your point?????

Are you trying to tell us that we talk ourselves up??

Cos from where I stand, your season is hanging on by a thread!

And at the beginning of the season..

.....radio phone-in's were full of scousers convinced they would win the premier league!

Talk talk talk.....

.....But whats your point Rob???

Yeah i heard about that. I heard a Chelsea fan stood up and punched one of them a couple of times and then the scouse was escorted out of the ground. But somehow this particular scouser managed to stab this bloke in the ankle with a swiss army knife, whilst he was being escorted out or during the little fight they had.

I also heard they were fighting with themselves in the Shed Upper. Something to do with a group of liverscum fans shouting racist abuse at their own players and some other liverpool fan didn't like it and got jumped for asking them to stop.

F**king scouse scum. They dont half have their fare share of animals.

Think you're a bit off the mark there. Unless you were there it's hard to comment. TV do not always stick microphones right under the noisy area of the ground - although I know they do like to do so at the Kop, just to keep that myth icon_wink.gif

I heard plenty of singing and it was far from flat.

Rob if you went to some of these games you'd have a far more credable view.

You'd be able to admit, the atmosphere at the bridge on Wednesday was good, although you'd probably still deny your side is followed by a bunch of drunken, theiving pikies!

Same here. I for my sins, only watched the game via an Internet stream, but I could hear plenty of singing from Chelsea fans. I also remember about half way through the second half remarking that the Scousers were getting mouthy. This was when I heard them chanting "f*ck off Mourinho". Up til that point I'd hardly noticed them.

Your conceeding Chelsea's passage to the final allready?. I would have thought dispite Chelsea's advantage that Liverpool were still very much in with a chance.

I'm not conceeding at all, i am just no very confident now. I know that if you score we will be out as i dont beleive we will score 3 against you. It sounds defeatist, but i am not confident at all.

If i went is an easy thing to say, it seems like there are a lot of chelsea fans who didnt/couldnt go, never mind an away fan. Tickets and money are not all that easy to come by.

I watched the game on TV and the atmosphere sounded ok at best, the pundits after the game said similar, and some of the comments raised on this board suggest it was far from rocking. All i am saying is that if you cant get yourselves, and the atmosphere, up for a champions league semi, then it is a surpise to me.

Yeah I'm reading it now. I saw some crap back in the '70s and '80s but I'm shocked that this kind of crap goes on.

Everyone knows we have some proper scumbags amongst our support. Mostly good, plenty of dickheads and some complete sh*theads. It's one reason why I hate reading this self congratulatory 'best fans in the world' bollocks.

That's from a Scouser. At least some of them recognise there is a problem.

But on the other hand:

FO Chelsea F.C. ..... I really hope we beat them now after their sh*tty little comments on that website.

That's Scousers for you. Even when they're bang out of order they feel hard done by.

PS. As for the racist comments, the said fella in question knows he was totally in the wrong. The racist comments were aired when Drogba & Mikel went down in the area, which caused a reaction from Liverpool fans as we through bottles, coins and lighters etc. I have spoke to the fella and he said he was caught up in the heat of the moment and was getting more angry as Drogba's cheating antics continued throughout the match, but he knows that there is no excuse for his comments.

Confirmation from a Scouser who was there that bottles etc were thrown at the players, and why. And ....

Thanks for clearing that up.

It makes it all better that it was aimed at the Chelsea players and you were throwing bottles at them.

My faith has been restored.
