Cech got my vote, deco seemed to be playing to wide and not in the middle where he could dictate more, Joe is not a striker and Anelka isn't on that performance

I think Joe will be far more effective with the quicker short passing game of deco then theslightly longer game that both lamps and ballack prefer. If Joe was spanish during the euros we would be talking so much about the silva and iniestas of this world

I thought Joey looked very inventive when receiving the ball centrally. I see from my sons Match magazine (honestly its my sons not mine, I prefer SHOOT) he feels his best position is cent midfield. As King Kev once said I would just love it if AG gave him a run through the middle. I'm sure gullit will fire me down in lots of technical reasons why it wouldn't work and I would have to ask Nibs and Just to fight my Joey Cole for central midfield corner.

Joey and Bentley were by far the best two players on the pitch, but Bentley was my motm purely because he was on the pitch longer. As linekaer,hansen and shearer said at half time he looked dangerous every time he had the ball.

I'm still not sure who was the motm but sweepy was definately the worst on the pitch. Ran blindly all game and ended up losing the ball most of the time. Although Joe wasn't great he was neat and tidy in all he did.

Although I thought the ref generally had a good game, i thought he was a bit lenient with his yellow cards on some of schalke tackling from behind, especially on Malouda in the second half.

The midfield 3 were totally devoid of ideas and always seemed to slow things down rather then move the ball on quickly and fluidly. We were crying out for a diego/fabregas type, or someone capable of carrying the ball forward rather then checking back all the time. (That is when we weren't passing the ball to Schalke) Drogba also missed two gilt edged chances set by a mainly posession starved Joe Cole. Oh well at least we have got a top of the table clash with the mighty rosenberg to look forward too

Not as much as frankie he has just given it away again, still Rosenberg are 2-0 up Oh please, Malouda has given the ball away more times than Lampard. Thats not even my bias talking. Okay Gem they have both given away far to often
