I had to go with J Cole, he was a constant menace from the first whistle.

Every time he had the ball, he looked like he would create something.

But honestly i couldn't care less who won it today, as i thought the team played superb at times and thoroughly deserved the win.

I have to go for Drogba who from the time the ball came over and bobbled off his knees when he looked likely to score could have started his petulant moaning but turned into the Drogba we all know and caused havoc for the rest of the game,

Carvalho was good as was Joe and Kalou, Grants Substitutions which had we lost would have got the same reviews as his last subs were spot on,

Great to see Anelka and Drogs looking like they wanted to play together happy0034.gif

drogba didn't take all of his chances- not a clinical performance in front of goal, but an utterly dominant and awesome one all the same. brilliant. toure and gallas will be having nightmares. so he gets my vote.

riccy and jt in particular had their best games in a long long time. adebayor missing. last seen climbing into jt's pocket, 23/3/2008.

you're not the first guy to say that phillip, but I can't understand why-

he was immense- his finishing was a little erratic, but the number of balls he took out of the sky and held up was amazing, some great touches and I can't remember toure or gallas winning the ball off him once in the air- IMO for the entire game he was brilliant, even taking the goals out of his performance there couldn't have been many players better on the pitch.

OK, I do remember that part of his game, so I was way too harsh on my assessment of him. Too late for me to change me vote.

By far one of the most exciting match of the season, not just the vintage win.

That's more like it, rising to the occasion. I would not be unhappy even if we had lost because everyone chased for the cause.

I thoroughly enjoyed the match but I think we have to work on set-piece defending because I have lost count on the number of

goals conceded off freekicks and corners.

With United yet to play us and Arsenal and also having a tough game against Villa, we can still nick it. Come on you Blues ::Scalf::

Very scrappy match, the kind that Mourinho used to revel in – Drogba's shirt removal reminded me of that great Blackburn win three years ago. Drogba is BACK!!! And for me that almost cancels out Grant's equivocations (did you see his great washing machine hand gesture??!!) - I was seriously low on Wed; if you had said 'a draw and a win' from these two derbies I wouldn't have been over the moon but it keeps us in the hunt and so it's not too bad (nevertheless isn't it always the same with Grant, good, but not great).

Drogba needs to find his touch still, but his immense physical presence gives me hope for the run in. Rio is form at the moment - that will be a huge match up, and Drogba is going to win that match for us!!!!

Good stuff Chelsea - finally a little grit shown.

PLummed for Drogba, although there were many great displays of what our players are capable of out there today. I feel Ashley needs special mention. Very solid performance, and ran tirelessly for most of the game, supporting and defending. Tailed off a little at the end, but overall a great game. Joey had another great performance today, and is still my player of the season so far.

Riccy and Jt were back to their formidable best, and both deserve a mention. Cappello will certainly be in two minds about Terry having watched him at both sh*te fart lane, and then today. Same could be said about anyone watching all of our defence between midweek and today.

Essien might have secured his position at RB for the rest of the season today. Not that he is a great defender, just what he offers when he is on the pitch
