  1. We have plenty of intelligent quick thinking players to play interactive and smart football, but every game we just hoof it in an approximate direction in vain hope something will turn up.
  2. You tried to make a reasonable argument and brought in global warming and bin Laden. Nice one.
  3. Werner is top quality. He just needs to be managed properly.
  4. Christensen, Rudiger and Emerson combination scares the sh*t out of me.
  5. Last season's 4th was the case of best among the worst. This season even traditionally low and mid-table teams have improved their game, so we are in a tough competition. In CL we had a relatively easy ride with Krasnodar and Rennes, and Sevilla rolling over in their last game against us. Atletico Madrid will eat us and sh*t us out with ease. When Frank was appointed as our manager, I was happy with the understanding that we will be content and very patient with hovering around middle of the table, but at this cost promoting and developing our youth into the first team, and giving Frank a couple of years of learning the trade. If our expectations are still below Europa League, then fine. However, instead of our own youth promotion on-mass, we went out and bought external talents and now expect to compete for EPL crown and CL place. As evidently our objectives and expectations have shifted upwards, I do not believe that Frank is ready to fulfill those expectations. Apart from tactical mistakes (some people question if we even have any tactics) and general game management shortcomings, I think Frank struggles to motivate the players and fails to get the best out of them on a consistent basis. Miscommunications on the pitch, very rudimentary link-up play, misplaced simplest passes, evident lack of anticipation, poor physical form, players easily switch off - these are all telltale signs that group and individual training methods are not up to scratch. Some people here believe that a magic player will come and miraculously resolve all problems. Yesterday it was Havertz, today it is Ziyech, tomorrow will be Gilmour, however it is not the players, but the whole system that falters - and it is down to the manager to sort it. I hope that Frank will turn everything around and fast, but sadly I know he wont.
  6. I can only judge by seeing our players going half-hardheartedly through motions. Mind you, Frank is lucky that we currently do not have real strong head rebellious individuals in the dressing room like Diego Costa, otherwise the dressing room would be in full-on mutiny by now.
  7. Real shame to see Frank in this situation. He has been the soul of this club as a player, and he cares deeply now, but this is just not working out. I absolutely loathed the fat spanish waiter and Sarri and was happy to see the door smacking the backside of both imposters, but I want Frank to go now on good terms to learn the trade elsewhere and prosper in his coaching career.
  8. That's what I meant. It is not a wake up call, it is an incompetence alarm. Sadly, Frank turns our players into self-doubting low on confidence unmotivated habitual bottlers. For everyone's sake Frank should do a decent thing and just walk away.
  9. Wake up call? Really? Where have you been?
  10. If only Arsenal had 2 or 3 players sent off in the first 5 minutes, then we would have won. Bad luck. Just unlucky. Otherwise no problems whatsoever, everything is rosy. Those who think it has been a sh*t shower are just plastic fans and deserve ridicule and contempt.
  11. Frank's premature departure is not the matter of IF but WHEN. I feel sorry for Frank, and I will not be surprised if Frank, being a decent bloke, resigns before he is kicked out in a not very graceful manner. Sadly, everyone is a loser in this situation - Frank, who over-optimistically stepped into shoes too big for his size, the fans, who witness embarrassing inept performances, and the club, who still can not identify a manager for stable growth.
  12. Our plan is simple, but effective: kick that yellow leather bag of air in whatever direction.
  13. When you have no argument, resort to ridicule.
  14. We have not won any games playing against 10 top teams so far.
  15. Lots of people here blame bad luck for our absolutely sh*t performance tonight. Nothing to do with lazy and inaccurate passing, casual play, sh*t game plan void of any ideas, late subs, etc. ,etc. I know you can not win them all, but the manner we play football under Lamps is not very inspiring. Every good manager has a style, puts a certain hallmark on the team's game. I just wonder what is Frank's style? Hoof it up and hope for the best? I just have no idea what to expect from any game we play.
  16. MOTD will feature Everton vs Ngolo&James game tonight
  17. It was clear in the first 20 minutes that Kai is not in the game. Very, very late sub.
  18. Reminds me of Demba Ba aka Bambi on ice. Tammy also complains too much about almost everything. He should channel that dissatisfaction into self-improvement.
  19. Small correction: Our communication over the pitch needs to commence
  20. Apparently we have never lost 3 games in a row in CL. Please keep up the tradition.
  21. Zouma is so clumsy... He has sh*t eye-foot coordination. Somebody here once said that Zouma has boxing gloves on his feet - that made me laugh.
  22. On a very positive note: Ben's corners are quality - so different to Willian's.
  23. Get Boris Johnson in! He is a likeable amusing clueless buffoon and his post-match presser will be a right laugh. Nothing else will change, but at least this will lighten up the mood a little bit.
