Regarding a plan for the team I think there always has been one that needed time for it to come to fruition, however, my main gripe was some of the funds we've used over the past couple of years could have been redirected to signing a couple of top players instead of players like (not meaning to pick on these individuals) Ugochukwu, Washington, Slonina, David Fofana and Kellyman. I'll die on the hill that most of the players we've signed aren't bad players, but there was no reason for us to go exclusively for young players and not adding a top striker and CB alongside them. I also think managerial appointments have been crap, if we'd have just given a top manager the job from the beginning (we already had one) we'd have saved a lot of severance pay cash.

Well I've been slagging Maresca off for the best part of 6 months so I thought I'd give him some credit 😂

Reading that apparently we're after another striker as well as Delap, which would point to Jackson leaving. I'd be very happy with Ekitike/Gyokeres/Osimhen as our striker options

Good, not great. I'm hoping once we've improved the positions we're lacking in we can get to great. Petrovic, Santos and Estevao coming back will definitely improve us and then the addition of a new CB, LW and striker I'm hoping we end up a bit more direct.

As soon as Maresca allowed him to go forward more and play off the right he changed the game, baffling that this isn't Palmer's default role.

I'm very interested to see what happens if/when we get the signings we need in, maybe in order to play better football we need that striker, winger and CB. I'm not sold on Maresca long term but I can't take away that he did what was expected of him this season.

Really happy to win it, especially after that awful first half, at least Maresca realised he'd made some poor decisions and changed it up.

I like Delap but I'd only want him if we signed another striker like Osimhen/Gyokeres and got rid of Jackson.

I get your point but we could also look at Marmoush though who went to City from Frankfurt in January and looks a really good player still.

An improved Jackson would be a very good striker, actual Jackson is a few sandwiches short of a picnic.

I did think that about Quenda, but I suppose it depends what happens with Mudryk as well. I can't see Sterling being re-integrated even if we can't sell him and at the moment I don't think George is good enough, a loan to a top championship team would do him the world of good. I'd be happy to keep either Carney or Felix, I think it's just more likely that they'll be gone rather than staying. Some of the players I'd totally forgotten about, I'd loan Kellyman and I'd be happy to have Veiga back in the team but I can see him going out on loan or even sold for the right price.

Your realistic wish is to have Jackson as our main striker, keeping Sancho and signing no new defenders? Good lord...

I'm going to go with my ideal scenario, but as long as things are loosely like this I'd be happy. Squad Sign - 2 strikers (Gyokeres/Osimhen and Sesko/Delap), a LW (Nico Williams/Barcola), a CB (Murillo/Mosquera) Sell - Sterling, Disasi, D Fofana, Madueke, Broja, Nkunku, Chilwell, Jackson, Carney, Ugochukwu, Felix, Badiashile/Chalobah Loan - Washington, Essugo, Jorgensen, Paez, George Returning loanees to integrate with the squad - Santos, Petrovic and Estevao Return from rehab to integrate with the squad - Mudryk Objectives League - Title challenge Champions league - minimum quarter final FA Cup/League Cup - win one of these Maresca Stop the boring tactics, you can have this build up from the back style without making it a mind numbing watch, will a top striker, CB and LW help Maresca take the handbreak off? Who knows, but I hope so. Also, stop limiting Palmer, for all of Poch's faults he gave every future Chelsea and England manager the blueprint on how to play him, but Maresca is hell bent on doing the opposite. I think if we are well behind our expectations by Christmas we should replace him, not wait until the end of the season.

It's one to tick off the list, next season we need a big transfer window to finish off the team and then challenge for the league.

He's gotten a lot better as the season has gone on. I just hope we can get a top CB to play alongside him next season that he can build a partnership with.

This is so massive for the club; money, sponsorship and potential signings are all boosted by getting champions league, I'm ecstatic!
