I'm pretty sure we planned on bringing him on during the Flamengo game but because Jackson decided to leave his brain at home we had to change our entire game plan. Not to mention Santos has only been with the squad less than 2 weeks because Santos was with the Brazil squad. Much like Petrovic and Paez, if the club wanted Santos gone they wouldn't have been in the squad.

The Santos situation is a reflection of modern society, we want it all and we want it now, it's been 2 games into a glorified pre-season friendly tournament and he's apparently being forced out? Just chill for god sake he'll get his chance.

I think they'd all take him if they had the chance. In a Jose 4-3-3 I think Enzo would do pretty well in the Lampard role.

Am I going to stay up to watch this load of dossers play football midweek? Probably.

God, tonight was just a reminder that the upcoming season is going to be a write off. We'll fix some gaps we have in the team but the results and playing style will stay the same because this amateur coach is too far out of his depth. I can only hope that once we start the season off like sh*t we'll move to replace him quickly, but I can't see us sacking him until next summer, I have zero optimism going into this season because of Maresca.

Given he's banned we should just send him back to London straight away to try and get him a move asap. I can't stand another season of this gimp pretending he's a professional footballer.

Hopefully we can get it reduced to a year-18 months and keep hold of him. Would be a shame to see him go out like this.

Assuming we get the players we're after in the transfer window, Maresca has no excuse next season, it's a title challenge or bust. I'm not a fan of Enzo's and I think he should have been gone last season but we're stuck with him, I can only hope that with better attacking and defensive options the football will be less boring, but I wouldn't bank on it.
