He is bang average, I don’t see the obsession with him. He also is 20yrs not some kid, struggled to crack 10 league goals in his 3 seasons in the Bundesliga. He was priced at €80m earlier in the season as they were expecting this to be his breakout season, hasn’t happened so they have dropped their fee.

Doesn’t make sense as a target, especially when you consider we already have another raw talent in Quenda coming in 2026 and playing the same position.

I suspect this is the reason why we're after him. This strategy underpins most of the players we are interested in.

Just waiting for the McAtee links to resurface now as well.

From what I've seen he's basically Noni with better technique and finishing but Mudyrk like awareness.

With 4 names he was bound to be 2 players, albeit with our recent recruitment experience, probably not one ideal player, but a doubly crap player.

In my opinion he's basically Damien Duff mixed with Solomon Kalou with a sprinkling of Yossi Benayoun.

He's a young English lad who left to play abroad like Noni. Started his career on fire then went sh*t - Sancho. I don't know about the Mudryk part that's probably an observation from someone who's actually watched him play.

Probably more like a Pulisic than a Sancho then, i don't think Gittens has ever reached Sancho's heights.

I don't understand Pulisic is the Lebron James of soccer.

Pulisic was about to explode under Super Frank but then that injury in FA cup final sadly ruined it.

That patch he had, he was immense and could have been at Hazard’s level if he kept it up. Such a shame. Honestly we have no luck with injuries, Pulisic, Reece James and Loftus Cheek.

Why are we after a 20 year old winger when we have George who's just a year younger?

It makes sense if we signed someone who's proven in this league but we're essentially just wasting money if we get Gittens. I'd rather try get CHO back than sign Gittens.

Zeta,these owners and directors just won't get experience, we should all realise that by now,its kids with potential only.

It's not just kids though. It's kids and we're paying as if they are experienced. 50m for this guy? Someone is having a laugh somewhere.

They are more likely to take qualification for the Champions League and the Conference League win as the "proof" that their method works LOL
