These matches in June are going to be horrible. This one is an hour drive for me and I'm not bothered in the least.

My plan is to take both June and July off. Proper season ends with Forest and I want a break from the club. It just is not fun for the past few years.

Au contraire Blackadder .... they were the only team we beat in pre-season last summer so I'd love to play them again LOL !

LA could also be fun though, seeing as they have Hugo Lloris in goal and Olivier Giroud up front !

Group stages we play the lads who haven't played for a while, they should/will be good enough to make it to the knockouts.
Then introduce the 'big guns' depending who the opposition is.
Easy peasy.. another trophy and 100mil in the bank.

Personally think with the grueling season ahead, I think we should have taken a lot of the players who have been out on loan with us. The club see it as a continuation of the season just finished, however we have people returning who could have helped in these games and tell sell them. Most of the players being used, especially in the midfield and attack are going to be playing another minutes. Especially with Sancho ending his loan, we could have taken the likes of Felix, Sterling and Chukwuemeka. Just hope the players will not be shattered going into the season.

Thankfully few if any first team players will be on that pitch.

The venue is great - been many times and its a fantastic modern stadium. Unrelated to FCWC, its a relatively cheap stadium to visit also. The owner of the Falcons insists on good value refreshments, with concessions there often under $10.

Now the pitch - yikes! This is a good test for the 2026 World Cup, but believe that requires a much deeper substrate from Fifa. What they rolled out there, while I am sure is good quality and looks thick sod, will be bumpy as it gets and likely cut up. Will be interested to see - likely better than the astro that is underneath.
