  1. A bit sad but he is our best keeper. Hope he has a great game.
  2. Hard to feel too much pressure over this as we are such underdogs here. Honestly anything positive is a plus. PSG getting cocky is probably the thing we should be hoping for. Not sure they know what that is. Fact is if PSG is at their best form it there is only one result. Anyway I love our position as the underdog today. We have a good squad so anything really can happen. Let's hope for something special today.
  3. Good post. Fine reply. Keep up the good job. Okay so anything I write here you won't read. Not that I care but just testing.
  4. Good post mate. Did you notice you posted AI like the 'best of us'? 🤣 Just hope people don't attack you on using it.
  5. Lovely old track! But Roman wanted to rebuild, did he not? Not sure what the contradiction is here. What mistakes did Boehly and co already do?
  6. They sold everyone and started fresh. That was a new idea. I think Boehly himself is part of businesses that are in line with stadiums/live events outside Chelsea. What he's talked about Chelsea is the stadium is a big part of their vision. If you read what he has being doing with Dodgers for example you get the idea he wants live event to be much more than just the football. Other clubs have done that too. If he/they had none of that background I think what Roman designed and envisioned could have sufficed.
  7. Last credible info on that.
  8. This is probably the idea. Problem is we have to suffer season or two with Sanchez. The summer transfer window closes 1st of September so we have time to fix that. Maignan deal is dead so we'd need to find a keeper that is comfortable with his feet otherwise it is probably Sanchez.
  9. I am sure they want to build a stadium that fits their vision and their calculations. They have replaced pretty much everything so why wouldn't they instill their own idea to the stadium as well. It would be pretty naive to think otherwise. It is their project and their money.
  10. So the argument was his development will suffer by this 6 month stint by not playing. I don't think it has. He has trained first of all with much better players and seen the surroundings of a top team. If we asked him I'd be pretty sure he's loved his time at Chelsea but wants to play games. To just state bluntly he has suffered from this time as a 19 year old player I don't buy it. It is possible that he has suffered naturally but he made the decision to come. It is his responsibility and his team. He decided to come and he knew he had Caicedo and others in front of him. If he has a brain he knows his path might be a bit more complicated than just to step in to the side. I think his path to Chelsea now that he is with Strasbourg is pretty sweet compared to many others that have travelled through Chelsea.
  11. Amogou is 19. He got what he got from the stint he was here. Talk to top players, learn from them, see the life of a top footballer. Now he is going to a club that will play him on a good level. I think that boy is very lucky.
  12. This is exactly why the governing bodies shouldn't make these rules that are filled with holes. We are basically financing lawyers with this nonsense. Like in competitive sports big clubs will use all and any measure to gain competitive edge on the financial side as well. Why shoudn't they? Setup a system such is in Europe and this is what you get.
  13. Some of the players are sure just for flipping so to say. 100%. That is what is new to Chelsea. If you do that with intelligence you can make profit with these players as host of clubs in the world do. I think we can use the lure of the big club to some of them to see wheter they have it or not. Nothing new to footballing world but to us it is. But I think most of us can identify which of the young players are clearly for the first team such as Estevao and Paez. We just need to learn this and not get emotional over these players. None of the young players were harmed by this so why would you be upset. This sort of thing will probably be even bigger when we get one or two clubs to our multiclub model. I am not talking about the ethics of it here or wheter it is right. That is just what european football is at this moment.
  14. Alonso setup Real exactly like he wanted and I consider him young but a top level coach. Maybe he is among that 1%. Okay Real made 2 massive individual errors but were pushed to make them all game long. But I wholeheartedly agree we need to setup to this game to win and not to learn or progress our system. Winning in a final like this is the sole objective. We will probably never be in this competition again or if we are it is years from now so we need to live here and now in this one. That is the question here for Enzo as well. Do you enforce your footballing idea in this game or play for the win against a superior opponent. Alonso I think chose the former option. He is naturally a season behind Enzo with his new team but still.
  15. For sure we need to play for the win and field a side that can harm them and contain them at some level at least. I think for Maresca this is a huge test as well. With keeper we can't do anything. Sanchez is Sanchez. James faces Kvara and Cucu faces eiher Dembele or Doue. That is okay from our point of view. CB's are Trev and Tosin/Colwill. Midfield here is the key. Their midfield with Ruiz Vitinha Neves is excellent. We need to match that with 3 players I think. Caicedo Enzo and Lavia/Santos. Hopefully Caicedo is fit. Attack is Neto Pedro and Palmer.
  16. Renato Veiga is one as well, Petrovic is one, Tosin Adarabioyo is one (hopefully not for sale), Chalobah (hopefully not for sale), Josh (hope not), Santos maybe (hope not).
  17. Neither player is a leader by their character at all. So in that sense they are not to be missed. They can have a negative influence on some young players if they act in a bad way.
  18. At this very moment footballing wise we are okay I think without Jackson. Pedro seems legit and Delap looks okay. Both still bedding in naturally. If we lose Nico we have as good of a chance to finish the same way the coming season. Jackson is 2nd, 3rd choice right now and useful if we keep him. I understand your point on the selling value and you might be right but there also is a scenario where you need the money for the sale and that player carries a good value AND you can lose the player without making the squad any worse. I think Madueke is that for sure and Jackson might be as well. I am very comfortable if he stays and continues to develop.
  19. Problem is we don't play every day. What the hell should you do on these off days then 😅
  20. Tools to build the stadium? Not sure that is the case. I don't know the details on permits and all that but is sure looks tricky to move on with the planning. I don't slag off Roman's efforts one bit. Just saying this whole new stadium business for us seems to be a bit of a nightmare. I also get it Blueco wants to plan everything like they see fit for the stadium. If they put 3bn on a new stadium or something along the lines they bloody well should.
  21. Not using it to beat Roman. Just some context on the old 'these news guys are horrible' song which in on repeat here. 19 years. Sorry for the mistake on that. Pretty close though.
  22. Have to probably sell one or two to Strasbourg as the loan limit is pretty low and we need to move some players. Really interesting to see Strasbourg next season and what their squad is like.
  23. Roman owned the club over 20 years. Even though his best efforts we have no new stadium. New guys probably have another type of plan for the stadium. If they manage to open that in 12-15 years they've done okay as I said before.
  24. Felix never settled after his galactico-level move to Atletico. He never got it going and that 120m pressed the boy. He truly is controlled by his agent basically. Every time the going is a bit sticky he calls the agent who helps him secure a move - and the agent laughs on his way to the bank. His representation and general lack of judgement has made him this weird vagabond. He seems a likeable enough boy and very skilled as well. I wish someone smart would help him. Now he is just making money to his agent by not playing football. Not sure that is something he wanted for himself even though he makes a bit of dough by just being basically a famous footballer. From Chelsea's point of view the best result is we sell him to Saudi's for a good fee but I'd prefer he goes to home to Benfica.
