  1. The talks are (again not sure how reliable) we will go for a central defender and clear out after that. But we need a pretty big squad for the coming season as well. Sterling will be very hard to move. But that is no news.
  2. I think he was thought to be replacing Nkunku/Felix. I don't get this buy 100% but I think his versatility is why he was interesting to us. I can't tell to be honest.
  3. I haven't watched Brighton that much but he looks like a very talented footballer. You can see there are the signs why he is considered to be expensive player. He is also a pretty safe bet that if it doesn't work out we can probably still sell him for around 40m. In terms of risks he is not a Lukaku.
  4. You have to take every player case by case. It is much easier to give a chance to an attacking player after 65-70 mins than to a midfielder especially with the system we play in. And Pedro is 23. Andrey is 20. The difference between those two is there and very apparent.
  5. No, that is what their site says. I don't make the judgements on someone's transfer value. I am not an expert on that. But that is what it says.
  6. Transfermarkt has him on 50m Euros.
  7. I guess there is a sliver of a chance this boy makes his debut in this game. Funny is he's played for Fluminense. If we clear Palmeiras and Al hilal goes out he will face his former club 😃
  8. From our side of the bracket 3 non-european sides out of 4. On the other side of course that levels it out a bit but not sure people expected that. Anyway those two results a bit surprising but I think European football media, experts and fans need to look at the mirror a bit me included. Football is actually played outside Europe as well. I love the way all the clubs that went through have celebrated the results. Great to see and kicks in the teeth a bit to the doubters of this tournament in terms of football. Everything else with the tournament is up for a debate. I have my reservations on anything FIFA doles out but in terms of football itself this tournament has surprised me positively. Our game against Benfica in the end was a classic European night for us with all the drama no matter the opposition or anything else. Love to see us back in the UCL. We belong in that tournament. Prem games are different. Couple of good ones there as well but when you are not truly going for the title it takes away from normal Prem games as well. In these European ties I love when it is okay the football to be a bit stale. Funny how only in England it is somehow a must to play that up-and-down headless chicken football. It is exciting if the blows are thrown equally and the game is stretched all the time but for Chelsea it has not been like that - almost ever. Handful of games in last 5 years to be fair. Most games in the Prem is where the opponent sits deep and tries to blow us on transition. Fatique probably has a bit to do in these two surprising results but I don't think that is the only reason. Inter and City both have a bit of a transitional period going on. Inters starting eleven average squad age 30+ years with new coach in Chivu who's been with the team under a month and City has 3-4 new players in the side in crucial positions to their football. Anyway I am glad we are in the tournament. It might take away from the season ahead but we can't do anything about it. For the young squad winning top sides like Benfica is good for the development. I'd rather win Benfica than lose to Al Hilal although that might well be our fate as well 😀.
  9. I have to take a listen on that. Thank you!
  10. New things might be intimidating sometimes. I understand that.
  11. I guess in this forum it can pretty much mean anything 😉
  12. Whip out the old AI?
  13. People who use socials, maybe...
  14. Maybe change the name to BlueCo. Someone suggested it but not sure. Not sure what it does to my spotless reputation here. 🤔 I actually like the logo. Good design. Also works nicely in the socials.
  15. Yes exactly. Our lawyers and financial experts have probably seen host of loopholes in those hastily fixed laws that nobody is able to follow nor don't exactly understand why they are there. Smaller clubs are actually in more trouble with that than the biggest clubs even though they are basically meant to level the playing field. Fine job lads. Fine job.
  16. You asked for it with your very clever alterations and name calling: ✅ Conclusion: Yes, Chelsea is one of the biggest football clubs in the world—especially when considering modern success, global reach, financial muscle, and reputation.
  17. Hi EvissyAI, Mindlessly....it is very mindful. I am not going after fans. I just feel the general feeling around this place is not fun. We have one of the biggest and most beautiful clubs in the world but reading some comments here doesn't really reflect it. Anyway this whole loop of conversation is so old. Let's just stop it before it starts once more. 😐
  18. Our elite status won't be destroyed that quickly. We need to come in terms of what they try to do and step into this new reality. Going after everyone at the club all the time is getting very old, very fast. Funny how some people here say they have gotten over Roman's era and "please don't refer to Roman's era" and yet reference to Roman's Chelsea on how the club should be. This is not his club anymore. Like it or hate it this is Chelsea FC now.
  19. I think Thursday is the latest day to register new players for the squad.
  20. I agree inverting to midfield is not for Gusto. Actually it shows his limitations as a player or at least he is very slow to adapt to it. It is not the most complicated job even BUT it is a collective job as any position on the pitch. I think he wants to learn the role, he needs to play a lot more to get into it faster or better at it. I think Gusto is a brave player as he always takes the risky route despite having big limitations as a footballer. His first touch and awereness at any other area than what is normal to him at right back is not very good which is probably very normal to a wide player. I am sure he is the first person to admit that and he wants to get better and learn any role that is given him by the boss. Personally I prefer the team to win and function over one player but I'd love to see Gusto do well. I guess it remains to be seen whether Gusto learns the role, Enzo uses him differently or he leaves. Hopefully it is the first one.
  21. I get the banter between fans and some being sensitive on why the new owners love Brighton so much but they are a feeder club doing exactly what a feeder club does. They are also fine being feeders. They know their place. At their maximum capacity they can tease top clubs and get a win here and there but that is it. On resources alone they are much more efficient than most English clubs. You have to appreciate the way they operate. We are not a feeder club and never will be.
  22. Not sure why people are so sensitive with Brighton...
  23. Plays on edge all the time but I like players with aggression. Not Jackson-type idiocy but our squad need a bit of edge. So we have now replaced MM with Gittens and it seems Nkunku with Pedro. We have tons of players to unload. When we faced Brighton under Pochettino in that pre-season friendly in America he looked amazing. I have always appreciated his skillset but not overly excited over the signing. Hope it works. Hopefully the lad is not a disruptor.
