Nkunku starting.

Christopher Nkunku to Chelsea
Nkunku was bought for different style of football. It was pretty clear early on he is not for Enzo. I think at best he is an amazing player. He is also expensive player because he makes goals; scores and assists. Just doesn't fit our system. I think in Germany at Bayern he might do very well.

Not sure what Orwell's got to do with this... although on the subject (slightly touching it anyway) I listened to Joe Rogans podcast yesterday while driving home at night from brilliant Guns N' Roses gig, he had this AI security expect Roman Yampolskiy on and I listened for 2 hours on the scenarios of AI and people/future. A good listen if that sort of thing interests you.

Madueke is a good piece of business in a business/monetary sense. We have gotten good amount of football of Noni and he was on relatively low wages. I don't think we were looking to sell him and he was seen as one of the starters for us. Looks like he just wants to leave. That is on Noni and if we get £50m of a £30m buy it is good business. Nkunku was a purchase from Boehly/Eghbali before we had the directors in place so I don't consider those buys as part of this SD's era. He was also bought for Pochettinos team and was sadly injured the entire season. If we stuck with Poch he might have had a very different career so far. He was an established player in the early to peak years. These are the most risky buys in terms of business as we painstakingly know from our recent history. Sterling was also a purchase by the duo of owners. No need to talk about him. Felix is a dumb buy and we dismissed his lack of brain which is totally on the club and the directors. Good thing is he still carries a relatively good transfer value. In the world of black and white you seem to live in I think you are wrong on Noni. So I give you 75% to 25%. Not black, probably grey or beige ⚪.

Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*
I think we have versatility among our strikers. At least much more than this season. Delap hopefully is the player that can make the smart runs and finish off chances we create to him. Pedro is a tireless presser and versatile 9/10. We also need the backup and Jackson is that now clearly. Not sure if our strikeforce sets the world alight but it is better than last season.

2025/26 Chelsea FC squad
RED: Sell = Loss (Chilwell £5m, Disasi £20m, Sterling £10m, Felix £25m =£40-60m). Felix was the only player from these by the SD's. Disasi was a reactionary buy to cover Fofana's ligament injury. ORANGE: Loan (not sure how the rules are. 6 players unless home grown or under 21 or something on the lines?) Penders, Paez, Guiu will carry high potential and expected to be of the first team at some point. GREEN: Sell = Profit (Petrovic £25m, Veiga £20m, Gilchrist £5m, Madueke £50m, Broja £8m = £90-108m) UNRESOLVED: Not enough rumours on this. NO COLOR: Part of squad SQUAD: We are looking to buy maybe a CB so it will change the squad a bit if that happens. And maybe Enzo likes the squad being around 25-27 players. This is not an opinion on the squad. Just trying to see what it could look like. Anyway we will sell and loan out a ton of players. Hopefully being succesful on it. I am sure many of the outgoings will be around late in the window as we know it is a bit of a domino.

Nicolas Jackson - striker
I think that could actually be his best position. Maybe a left sided attacker in 4-2-2-2 with Delap or Pedro. His finishing lets him down too often.

Not sure what the numbers have been on DAZN and other broadcasters but I think not great. Their pockets are probably so deep they can do this first one as a practice drill. FIFA I mean.

Our diabolical directors..
Another fun topic here. You go to any topic here it is basically people confronting each other and sh*tting on every Chelsea owner, employee and player bar Caicedo. I am guessing he is the level we aspire then. Nothing else will suffice in our little world it seems.

Footballing-wise the tournament has been very good. Every other aspect including the weather has been suspect. Anyway new things take time to grow.

Again I am sure they have a spreadsheet of spendings and incomings so they have clearly calculated elementary maths on what one buy means in the balance. If they are unclear of what ramifications would come from UEFA or any other regulative organization they have surely factored that in. Either so they look at their hand or UEFA is not informing things clearly enough. Finding a talented player is the hard part, financies are pretty simple mathematics at this scale. Not to start another rant on American Sports vs European football but there (US) the rules and regulations are clear to everyone so everyone can just concentrate on the sports. Not sure why that isn't something we want here. They (here) make the rules as they go like some micromanaging weirdo despot that wants to control over everything.

BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
Okay so tell me. You know you can buy players for 100 because this is how much you make. Basic business logic. I would suggest UEFA has shown ages before (10-15 years ago at least) numbers or metrics they use for clubs to meet these sustainability rules, no? Why on earth would we go into that such as buying Kellyman for example if we know as clear as daylight we will get fined? Okay you and many others here would suggest our owners and directors are idiots but this is the area I think they would be okay with at least... I just think it is such a jungle to keep up with UEFA and the communication between UEFA and the clubs is possibly poor they don't know what to do or which rules to follow. Budgets are always suggestions on a yearly basis so maybe lack of CL with Pochettino was the problem on this case. They budgeted to go to UCL and the team failed and now we got a fine. A bit risky if so but they like incentive based operation as they do in America in general. Not sure.

So you feel UEFA is doing a good job with this mess?
-
Another Winger! - Noni Madueke
The wage 'issue' with our squad could rise its head when we go on and players are in 3-4th year in their contracts. We have slashed the wage bills and other top clubs could lure our best players with doubling the salaries.. anyway that is a known risk of this strategy. The hope is the young lads get the taste of winning and connect that with performance incentives.

How can you operate this football as a business if this is what always happens? And I feel they just make it as they go. I think you should get at least 5-10 years of head start on fines like we've got now. At UEFA: Chelsea is breaking the rules clearly because everyone is livid in the media over their spending. Okay do we ban them from UEFA comps then? No, we can't. They are too interesting side to UCL or any other comp so maybe a fine..? What size? 10m? Naah. 20m sounds better. So we've agreed. Now make it look legit.

Mohammed Kudus
In terms of production the two are very similar Player comparison Mohammed Kudus...Player comparison Mohammed Kudus / Noni MaduekeNoni's minutes suggest he is used much more sparingly than Kudus although the two have almost identical stats. Both have featured in around 65 Prem games but Kudus has played 1200 minutes more so around 12-13 games worth more of minutes. It looks like if we go for him we do because Noni's after Arsenal's wages of those stories are true. If we manage to sell Noni for a healthy profit and get Kudus for decent fee it is fine. We can't stop Noni leaving if he wants to go and he isn't a key player for us at this stage.

Mohammed Kudus
Pure winger. Not a swiss army knife. And yes I have only seen Kudus play a couple of times against us and a random WHU game. I think he can play centrally which is pretty alien to Noni.

I think we've done very well in this tournament so far. It might feel we 'should be' winning these games but it is not given. This is clearly the toughest test yet. They want that final spot as well. If we go out here I still say we've done well but the final is in a sniffing distance so let's go all the way

Mohammed Kudus
Noni is for sure. Don't know Kudus that well. But I have a feeling if Noni was given the sure starting role in a top side he'd do 20-30 goal contributions a season with ease.
