  1. No one (no sane person anyway) is claiming we made fortune. I think we did well with moving on mistakes we made in the market. Not all buys work out and I am sure no one claimed (sane ones) they all will. I was opposed to signing Palmer when I first heard it. Didn't really understand why we'd pay such a fee for him. What do I know. No one is trashing Roman. This is just the run of the mill 'the new everyone' are all horrible/idiots/stupid/f**k off/leave my club conversation to tennis back with 'maybe there is a plan, maybe there is something to it' play we've done the last couple of years. Not sure what the bonuses are or if they are easily attainable. Maybe they were not published.
  2. So if we buy the boy for 30m, loan him out for 5 years, poke fun of him 5 years and end up releasing him is better than selling him for 24m + bonuses after a year. Btw you UB conveniently leave out the possible bonuses because it might hurt your point. Which to you is everything. Being right. That is what mostly happened to players under Roman if we made a mistake of buying the wrong player.
  3. Buy a player that is clearly not for us for around 30m. Sell him after a year for almost the same recouping most of what was invested in him. So yes.
  4. A bit weird bickering about an amazing deal. Everyone thought (including me) this buy and ramifications will be sh*te. Turned out it wasn't. Be it +1 or -1 who cares. KDH is a top professional but clearly not the level we aspire to. This was clear to me before we even bought him. Hopefully he brought in professionalism and backbone to the squad.
  5. This topic was fun and accurate 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  6. Re Cobham boys..I think we need to take into account of our own boys and whether they improve the squad be it depth or starter. Not that many of them have been the absolute top talents throughout their youth careers. Palmer and Madueke for example were England's backbone in the youth setups. Estevao is a gem and recognized all over the world to be one of the best youth players out there. Same goes to Andrey Santos and Casadei. If we strive to be the best we need the best talent. Chalobah is a great depth player for us. James is really a super talent. One of the all time Cobham boys. We've also let go guys like Rice and Musiala. RLC, Tomori and Abraham have done well in Italy but they are not part of the England setup nor do they lift the trophies in Italy either in consistent fashion. Guehi to me is one player that would make us a better player if he came. Every top club will sell their own youth if they are not making the squad better.
  7. It is hard to believe we get anything above 10m but it could be a lot of bonuses there related to his fitness or performances He has a big frame and capped by Armenia and still a young lad at 23. And I feel Chelsea youth graduates always get a good value for a good reason. Really hoping he gets back to being fit and firing.
  8. That is the problem when you are not fit. I am pretty sure most football experts put him above Tosin and Chalobah.
  9. All of our new signings are young and most of our biggest stars are not in their prime. Cucurella, Tosin and Sanchez in purely age bracket are. In a league which is arguably the best and most competitive in the world winning a title in these circumstances would be a major upset. Even PSG which is a very young side have those experienced cornerstones in their squad in Donnarumma, Marquinhos, Ruiz, Dembele and Hakimi not to mention the league they play in. It is very uncommon to win a trophy like Premier League with this combination. Not to mention Enzo Maresca who is very inexperienced. Not saying it can't be done but certainly would be a big upset.
  10. Fofana - Tosin - Badiashile and Chalobah is a pretty tricky group of players. Everyone wants Fofana to stay fit as he is clearly the best player of the 4 and it is very hard to move him on. Tosin and Chalobah are both pure profit but also excellent players for us. Badiashile is also a bit tricky to move on as we need a good fee from him. Best case scenario for me is we can get the minutes out from Wes by controlling his game time like with Reece. We stick with Tosin and Chalobah and try to move on Badiashile. Anyway welcome Jorrel! 💪
  11. Holier than thou is not in our DNA in the slightest. I think that is Barcelona and Arsenal DNA.
  12. I have listened to Oasis interviews lately so that my English doesn't sound like it came out of ChatGPT. f**kin mental innit.
  13. Okay. Why not. I read it... When you basically take out the output that Jackson produced you are left with external reasons. His face, his alleged attitude. His two red cards are bad we agree on that but neither ended up hurting us.
  14. 1 out of 2 should be okay for a 3rd choice striker.
  15. I get it. You don't want a player because you don't like the person. So his face doesn't fit your eye-test. This is pretty much what I suspected. And I don't have any problems with it. I don't like some players faces either such as Raheem who you just mentioned but I am okay if they contribute to to the team such as Jackson have. I think he is good as being the third choice if that happens.
  16. Why? I personally want what is best for Chelsea. It is so weird he is attacked like this. Not sure which podcast I listened to... probably At the Bridge pod and I think all of them wanted to keep Jackson in their keep sell loan thing. Not sure this is a stuff of a contrarian. If he has goal contribution in 50% of his games not sure we should actively try to get rid of him. His two red cards are playing too much in this anger people here have with him. Again if we get a massive fee of him fine. People for some reason are way to angry towards him
  17. 1 goal involvement per 2 games. If that is correct, I think we can use him. But I admit if we get a massive fee on him I'd sell him.
  18. Not so sure why people here want him to leave this much. He has had one goal involvement in 2 games for us I heard somewhere. I know he is a bit of a donkey as people here call him but if he wants to stay and fight for his place I am more than welcome for him to stay.
  19. He wasn't Lukaku 99m. He is 25 and still carries good value.
  20. Not to bring in the SD's here too much but maybe they knew Felix was a pretty safe bet in terms of his market value.
  21. Mm-kay.
  22. He has a good agent for transfers but clearly a bad one for his career as a footballer.
  23. So is this potentially a good deal for us and everyone involved did a good job OR is it just a Saudi bailout and we got lucky?
  24. I actually think Championship is the right type of League for Guiu. You would think Marc is a Brit the way he plays football. But there is no guarantee in any loan deal. Maybe Frankie takes him under his wing.
  25. Might well be a Ballon d'or winner one day. The combination of hunger, determination, cool and natural ability is on a level of truly great players. Players like Vini jr and Dembele are great players at this moment but I feel our Cole is different gravy.
