I think where he's not respected is in the Spain NT. No reason he should be on the bench and Carvajal starting for them. Absolutely no reason. He's a much better player. Christensen isn't going on any more loans. His father has made it clear over the past year. It's up to us to find a way to integrate him in a way that will be appealing to him. I've finally come around to the idea of VVD because I think we can have all of VVD, Ake and Christensen in the team if we play our cards right, especially seeing as Cahill will be 32 by the end of the year and Luiz just turned 30. We need all of VVD (25), Ake (22) and Christensen (21).

It's a rubbish story re: Wijnaldum. None of the top 6 (except Liverpool obviously) would even want to have a player like that in their starting 11. I think Madrid would want to see how Asensio progresses. He has been playing really well recently and if he continues that way, they may not need Hazard at all.

Oh Belotti is absolutely made for the PL. His intensity and work rate is tailor made for this league. He's a bit like Vieri as a player. Not a buy back clause but Everton apparently haven't completed the Lukaku payment so that might just make it cheaper for us.

He earned that under Jose. Everyone had to start afresh and earn their places again under Conte. Some of the senior players like Ivanovic, JT, Willian, Oscar and co lost their places. So it's not just RLC.

No, you have to impress in training to get a chance to play in an actual game where there are points at stake. That's why it's called training. And if he can't carry out the duties the way Conte wants him to in that particular position then why should be given actual games? I'm talking about in that double pivot btw. I really couldn't tell you what RLC's best position is but if he has never been played in the midfield 2 by Conte then there's a good chance he's not that good there, at least in a 3-4-3/3-5-2.

Why would Sunderland want to give us a tough game in the last game of the season, about 6 games after they've been relegated? I fully expect a 5-0 pasting that day. And if Boro are relegated before they come to the bridge, it'll kill their morale and give us a chance for a huge win.

We've seen world class players be hindered by being misused. You don't even have to look too far. Just look at United and the way Pogba is being used this season. Travesty. No reason to make a world record signing and force the player to adapt instead of bringing him into a seamless transition. It's actually more likely we sign Sanchez than Griezmann. Absolutely no chance of getting Griezmann. He has been United bound for a long time while Sanchez actually has Chelsea as a priority. Doubt Arsenal would say no to 50m but we'll see.

Can't be working on him while trying to win the CL next season. Look at Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayern and even Barca. They hardly start any "prospects". You need the finished product in your XI or at least something close to it. What you're saying would make RLC a "project" that probably wouldn't bear fruit for 2-3 seasons. Not that I'm against it. Griezmann is a SS. He would be less effective as a RF, believe it or not. United are perfectly suited for him. We'd have to change our formation to truly accommodate him. If we get Sanchez, none of this will matter anyway.

Azpi isn't playing RWB. Something has to give. Also, I don't think we're selling either of them. Remember they also count as homegrown for us and we badly need those quotas covered.

Although to be fair, Luiz is 30 and Cahill is 31. They aren't exactly spring chickens. If we play our cards right, we could integrate Christensen properly, easing Cahill out gradually. Not sure Cahill has more than 2 years at this level left in him. Certainly would pick Christensen ahead of VVD to put faith in youth but after putting more thought into it, there's probably a scenario where we get both long term. All depends on how we handle Christensen though.
