  1. I dislike the trend where every club or manager that loses a game has bottled something. If we lose it likely won't be because Poch bottled it or we froze we're simply playing against a better team. Going to take something special tactically from Poch or a huge slice of luck for us to win the trophy because individually they're levels above us.
  2. If he got lumbered with our squad he'd take another sabbatical within a year.
  3. Depends which team he wins it for.
  4. Heard Boehly is looking into bulldozing the Bridge and moving us to the Amex.
  5. I think that's fair, it also doesn't take away from how well we were set up to begin with which you have to credit Poch with. Make no mistake they were the better team, they have better players and they were in the ascendency before the subs but we were well drilled, defended well and if not for a lack of composure could have got another goal or two. Anyone being critical of Poch based on today is nickpicking, he did well today.
  6. If Nico had missed the chances Haaland did today this thread would have 2 more pages. 1 or 2 people on this forum were more upset than the City supporters with Jackson setting up a goal for Sterling of all people. He's no Haaland and he's got a lot to work on but a young player who's linking up well and still getting goals and assists despite some unpolished aspects of his game is a young player you can really work on.
  7. Not sure a 1-1 draw away at the Ethihad against a team that has scored in 45 straight home games is a black mark against the manager. But whatever suits the Agenda.
  8. Another goal for Callum today to continue his good run of form at Forest. 3 in his last 3 now. Can't understand why we let him go for peanuts when we spent so much on wingers his age who are clearly significantly less talented than him.
  9. Seeing the City squad makes me irrationally angry at all money we've spent on crap young players under the guise they're top talents. The squads are night and day. Ironically the only top young talent we signed for a good price came from their squad.
  10. Not being the worst player on the pitch almost every time he plays qualifies him for a start over Madueke and Mudryk. It's an extremely low bar.
  11. We won't. Because no club would pay £5m for him. He's on 200K a week and still has 5 years left after this season, that's an incredible amount of money to commit to a player with Fofana's injury record and 22 top flight games in 3 years if he misses the rest of this season. Can't see any club being interested in him at any price until he can prove his body can handle playing football.
  12. They haven't been ok. they're players you'd expect to see coming off the bench at Luton or Southampton but nothing to suggest either will ever be Chelsea calibre players Palmer is younger than both, there's a massive gulf in ability between a real top young talent and the deadwood we've signed. It isn't about Sterling specifically but if we're moving experienced better performers on and keeping struggling kids while we sign more kids we're in big big trouble.
  13. I'd be very surprised and disappointed if Sterling is pushed out while we have deadwood like Mudryk and Madueke in the squad. If it happens it will be the final nail in the coffin because it clearly won't have been a football decision or one that's come from the manager or anyone with any interest in seeing us compete on the pitch.
  14. To play well? Probably not. To play better than Mudryk or Madueke? Absolutely. Think Sterling has to play here even if he struggles the other two are positionally so poor off the ball and so casual with it we'll be crucified by a Pep team.
  15. Fair points but my biggest problem with Madueke is that he doesn't really have any good games. His entire game is based on dribbling near the half way line, generally if he's on it he'll beat his man get a lot of praise but won't actually attempt to create a chance. If he's having a bad game like you've said he'll lose the ball on the half way line and we'll be in big trouble in transition. 2 goals from open play, 0 assists and 0 big chances created in the league since he signed for us last January. Gave away 10 or so big chances in that time with his poor positional play and ball retention. He's a high risk / low reward player.
  16. I think it's fair to question if we can compete with Gallagher but it's hard to understand why so many untalented young players We've signed who are consistently worse than Connor get unlimited patience while Connor doesn't get the same support despite being a life long blue, working harder than them and performing better.
  17. Should probably go to bed before you make a 2nd post about how upset you are that we've won a game 3-1 away from home. Unbelievable sense of entitlement that we should just stroll up and roll the opposition over for 90 minutes
  18. Was 3 minutes away from people here calling for him to be sacked but now he's back in contention for manager of the month.
  19. Clearly Holding back all the top young talents we've signed under Boehly.
  20. Registered his first assist and big chance created since his premier league debut today. https://www.premierleague.com/players/67407/Noni-Madueke/stats Unfortunately it was for Palace. One of the least creative players we've ever had but an absolute magician in how he gets praised for the same performances other wingers get slated for.
  21. After having a cone up front in january seeing Jackson back felt like the 2nd coming of Drogba Good to see him back amongst the goals.
  22. Can confirm that isn't me. but if it only took the Fulham supporters 15 minutes to realise they took the wrong Chelsea striker on loan they're a smart bunch!
  23. Guessing the Shed end was "Poch in" at 3-0 But Diaby scored late so everyone's back on the fence.
  24. Where's the other £60m coming from? We might get £40m for gallagher with a year on his contract but we'd be lucky to get a tub of Jellied Eels for Broja. In all honesty I think we're screwed, we need to move on 12-15 players we've signed under Boehly and I just don't think it's feasible with ffp as we'd take a massive hit on them. The damage has already been done by our inept owners now we're saddled with long contracts for expensive dross that will never be worth half of what we paid.
  25. If we ever face a 38 year old Milner filling in at fullback again for a team playing a high line there's no one I'd rather bring off the bench than Mudryk.
